"You aren't stopping me Gail."
Rue stood up as tall as he could against the former Captain.
"I'm heading out to do something that gives me a purpose. I'm taking the Knight with me and I'm not taking your orders anymore!"
He shifted the backpack. And gave himself a firm stance.
"I'm not a puppet like you think!"

((Sorry for the late reply. Writing something else as well.))
Gail couldn't help but laugh at the smaller boy.
"Rue, what are you planning to do? Do you know where to go? Do you even have enough energy left in that thing to get you anywhere far?" Gail shook his head and leaned against the LFO.
"I think you have a couple of things to think over Rue. Life is a something to can just jump into a suddenly start doing things. No Rue, life takes practice." Gail stared at Rue, actually anxious to see his answer. For some odd reason, he had seen this coming, just not so suddenly.

"You're the one who's wrong..."
He clenched his fists as he told off a man he once feared.
"I don't have to know everything. I don't even have to understand it, because let's face it that's what you did and you're miserable! I can tell just looking at you!"
He moved closer, completely forgetting about everything else.
"Life isn't a game you practice to try and win! Because when it's done, you can't win you can only look back at the memories of doing something that made you happy. Your purpose, what you're here for. I don't need to know all of that, because i can tell my purpose is to help people. That's something i'm not doing here...."

Gail stood up as the amusement quickly drained from his face. There was no anger to be seen in his eyes, but instead a piercing glare took shape.
"Oh, I see, you think I'm the one in the wrong here?" He questioned with ice cracking smoothness.
"You're right, Rue, life isn't a game. That is why I never let myself go easy on you. Because you treat life like a game. For the entire time you've been here, I've tried to do what every one else is to blind to do. Rue, you need to get through your thick little head, that you can't just assume things are going to be the way you assume." He yelled through clenched teeth.
"Have you even stopped to consider what you're doing? Me and this crew have gone through many trials. I trust my crew just as much as they trust me. I don't act the way I do for now reason. If you can't understand that, then FINE!" He slammed his fist against the side of Rue's LFO. His breath became quick and heavy, filled with growing rage.
"I've tried to teach you what it means to be a leader Rue. You've always grudged against my judgments, and you never stopped to think why I demanded them. If I hadn't left that battle, then everyone would have died, not just Kayako." Gail glared for a few more seconds, before he turned around and started for the door.
"Get off my ship. You're running the image that I've spent the last twenty years of my life building."

((Rue's LFO isn't here, he reffed. FYI))
Rue was ready to fight the man who questioned his entire purpose.
"Your crew...your trials....your battle. All about you! You tried to teach me how to be a leader, but really you tried to teach me how to be like you! That's why i choose not to accept these things! These things that make you miserable!"
Rue pushed past him to get back to the ref board, but turned around.
"Your image isn't what you think! Its just a lonely old man who's got a grudge against anyone who was smart enough to avoid the same misery he's in!"
He ran off the ship.

Gail sighed and rubbed his head.
"Some of that is actually true. I'm old and I have a little grudge against idiocy. Unfortunately for you Rue. You aren't seeing past the first wall." He watched as Rue left the ship.
"Too bad, you could have been something great, but you let your own stubbornness effect you." He coughed and left the hanger.
