Karu looked up at him. "He and I dueled. Quite frankly, given his strength and the fact that I had to conceal my bloodline, I feel that my defeat at his hands wasn't all that horrible. He said he would train me, and it's possible he can help me with my gates." He pulled the scroll out that he'd been looking at earlier. "On another note, Baku-sama, I found a jutsu that can protect me against the memory jutsu Naoshi used on me."

"Well any training in the gates I'd say is best. Then we can get back to your Ley Line training." He said as he looked at the scroll. "Something you made or your family had?"

"One of my father's many sealing jutsus. Apparently he was an expert on them. I suppose he'd have to be; he made my ofuda." He pointed to the jutsu he was talking about. "Effective against all forms of mental tampering, genjutsu, even Sasori's memory seal was proven to be ineffective against it. The downside being that it closes one's mind off from the outside world, so no Bloodline, but still, it's something." He winced slightly from the throbbing in his left arm, but ignored it.

Sighing some he looked over Karu's body. "Doku was never one to take some one lightly, be they Genin or not." "So who has to activate this jutsu? You I am assuming?" He looked down at the boy with a stern look.

"Yes, I would like to apply the seal myself. Is there anything you would have me do, Baku?"

"Hmm....now that I think about it, I'd like you to draw me what you see when you are able to see the Ley Lines." He said throwing him a piece of paper and a piece of artist chalk.

Lovely. Karu frowned, taking the chalk and paper. He closed his eyes for a brief moment, then opened them, his irises turning yellow, and the Laey Lines revealed to him in true form. He looked up at Baku, taking in the appearance, then began to draw. A few minutes later, his eyes returned to normal, and he showed the drawing to Baku. What was on the paper was what looked lik a massive crisscrossing network of lines, with a small orb on one side that was disconnected from the lines, and on the other side was a large 'clump' of the lines that looked vaguely human-shaped, all the lines flowing in and out of it. "That orb is what a person looks like to me. They all glow blue, which must have something to do with the fact that most people's chakra shows up as blue. Occasionally I'll find someone who has a unique glow, but they're rare," he pointed to the clump. "That's what I see when I look at another person who uses the Ley Lines, like Yamanaki. They appear to be large clusters of the Ley Lines themselves, though that doesn't really surprise me. Everything else just shows up to me in grayscale, except for the Lines themselves. Is that enough?"

"Yes that is good enough. That is something I wanted to train you in next, Doujutsu Illusion. I'm going to try and somehow with the best of knowledge of your clan try and use that brain of yours in conjunction with the Ley Lines to create illusions."

Karu's eyes widened, intrigued. "I'm surprised I hadn't thought of that myself. I have a few Genjutsu that I developed, but nothing dealing directly with the Ley Lines themselves."

He nodded some. "It might be dangerous though, you'll have to make the Ley Lines come into direct contact with your eyes. Can you do that?"

Karu frowned. "I'm sure I could do it without too much of a problem. I'd need a target to attempt to cast the jutsu on however."

"That is true. I will find you one when the time comes. However I want you to describe your bout with Doku. What were his tactics like and what attacks did he use?"

Karu frowned. "He relies heavily on the 'Strong Fist' style of martial arts, though he backs this up with earth jutsu should an opponent get too far away. Should that not be enough, he uses the gates to fall back on. He can use up to the View Gate for certain, though I would not be surprised if he is capable of using the Shock Gate, or even the Death Gate. His speed is incredible, but his strategy seems to be to use all his techniques rather quickly, which would easily leave him with very little chakra. I believe that should one be able to outlast him or pin him down with a genjutsu, or manage to avoid him while he is using his gates, he would prove an easy opponent to defeat. It's simply a matter of keeping far enough away from him that he can't use his jutsu, and keeping far enough off the ground that his earth jutsus would be ineffective." He frowned. "Of course this is simple hypothesis based upon a single observation. I would have to see him fight more if I wanted a more accurate observation."

"True, but I have yet to meet anyone that could outrun and avoid him, except maybe Junko. Junko and Doku are regrettably the fastest this world has ever seen, both Junko in his natural state and Doku in using the gates. However Doku was never brightest when coming up with a defense against Genjutsu. However his experience with them is top notch so using one against him at your current level would be a waste of your chakra."

"Of course. But given time to research, and a place to experiment, I could conceivably find a way to reduce his speed. Given that, I could also find a way to avoid him altogether in a battle. Perhaps s way of stopping him from being able to see properly. I would assume that he could still track through sound, but again, if one were to keep off the ground, that could be avoided as well. Still, I would need time, and a chance to observe him." And I have just the jutsu to observe him without risking detection at all. He smirked.
