Alexis sighed once Aiden ran out, her attempts to woo him had failed. Perhaps she would have to go at it a different way. Maybe she could grow to actually like the man? It was doubtful with the lack of trust, and that Alexis didn't really respect the man all that much. Though the man was a Dragon-Kin and it was extremely rare for her to ever meet someone of her own kind.
She swallowed her pride, and nodded to herself. She would try and grow to like the man, and perhaps start to respect the man. Once she had made up her mind, she stood up and walked around Aiden's quarters, trying to learn a bit about the man behind the rank.

Tia slumped back into the hammock mainly because she hadnt the strength to do much more then get out of the hammock. Getting pass Tracey and up the stairs was a feat she didnt feel ready for. "How can you say that though Tracey, when I was above deck everthing was going smooth nothing to fight about a crew with out a person to keep order is nothing and the captain is far to busy. And because of me you left the deck when you had no order to do such a thing therefore its my fault." Tia slumped abit more in the hammock feeling even more tired from being upset. She calmed herself down knowing she couldnt do anything despite her efforts. Tia then reached out and grabbed Tracey's hand just to hold it as though with this movment Tia hoped that all would suddenly be well and in one way it did calm her down abit more though she would have liked to have James and his tattered wings wrapped around her like he used to do if she was afraid or upset. She wondered what had happened to him if he was even alive. "I feel so helpless..." was all she said as she seemingly stared off into nothing still grasping his hand.

Tracey squeezed her hand very gently when she took his. He was too concerned for her to blush or really think about the contact beyond trying to comfort her. She was wrong on all counts including that she was helpless. Here he was, caring about her but unable to do anything that is being helpless.
"Tia, you are not helpless; however, worring about things you cannot control will not help your healing. If you keep struggling, keep trying to want to fix everything you'll become sick." He has seen it happen, fish mongers' husbands die and with no sons to go out, they try to do everything and don’t take a moment for themselves and end up dying. He could remember the church saying that the worry let the devil eat their hearts.
Devil or no, all this bothering about things she could not affect just could not be good. "Tia, please, it is not your fault. You did your orders, to rest, I did my job, and what I wanted to do, which was to look after you. The deck was left to Victoria. There is nothing more that could have been done from us. If anything, you could have been hurt worse because of the blood loss." What could he do, what could he say to just make this better?

Tia listened to him and one part of her beleaved him while the other refused to listen. What more was she to do though but to give up. "I dont see how Im not helpless. I cant do anything to help right now, but I guess your right.....did you see the captain what does he think on all this?" Tia started to feel like she was being annoying. Tia sighed abit before giving a smile to Tracey. "Im sorry your right Tracey Im worring to much about it. My mind is just in an up roar so many new things in just a few days. I guess Im having problems ajusting to my new life. It feels like just a few moments ago that I had no hope and now everything is just so different you know. Im sorry if Ive caused you any trouble Tracey." Tia blushed slightly just now realizing she had grabbed his hand.

Tracey heard her out, and when she finished, he had his worries lessened enough that a small blush crept up on his face before he began talking, "I honestly don't know, he never spoke to me personally. With the woman that was the center of attention, upset about a violin, it is understandable that he didn't have time to address everyone."
He smiled to her and told her, "It is just going to keep on changing, but I am here for you. Your safe here, and I don't mind listening to you any time you wish to talk to me." In an attempt to add humor he says, "Trouble? That happens to be like a middle name to me."

Aiden listened to Avelop and nodded to make it clear that he had heard what the man had said. Though McCallahan was no surgeon, he was certain that mere rum would not be enough to heal whatever happened to Mariko's bones. It would possibly be a good idea, though he would ask Penelope before deciding on anything for certain. Turning back towards Penelope, he spoke as he began towards the lower level, "If you would be so kind as to follow me Penelope.. And if you feel rum would be wise to dull the pain, have Victoria fetch some." Awkwardly, the dragon-kin was able to toss his key in Penelope's direction in order to be given to Victoria. The woman had already gathered liquir from his storage room at an earlier time and he trusted her.
Being worried for Mariko, the captain did not notice the full extent of Samuel's words. He had no idea that his new recruit would be leaving so soon. His words of warning towards the crew had by no means been specifically directed towards Samuel. He did not approve of the bickering between Victoria, Samuel or Avelop. To see his crew jumping down one another's throats was not pleasant for the dragon-kin in the least. As he glanced back towards Samuel as he spoke, he was able to catch a flying bottle of rum from Avelop. "Don't mind the alcohol," he quickly added to Victoria. It was much more difficult to get to Mariko's cabin having to speak with everyone.
Making his way towards a free cabin, the captain was proud to hear what he heard from Penelope's mouth. Though he had shown a great anger for the woman before, she had certainly made up for her actions by being more helpful than he could have imagined. Not only did Penelope feel comfortable with surgery, but she had past experience and a clear head on her shoulders. Aiden smiled and made his way into a cabin, slightly larger than usual. The supplies would be gathered quickly after by himself once he was certain Mariko was comfortable and Penelope was by her side to keep a watchful eye on her. Once all was settled, the real question would be asked. Why did Mariko jump from the riggings in the first place?
As the dragon-kin continued to speak with the others, Mariko managed to sneak her way from the large man's arms and into her own cabin. Following Mariko quickly after, Aiden spoke gently, "Please make yourself comfortable on your bed, Mariko.. I don't want you up and about at the moment." And towards the others on the upper deck, the man shouted, "Please bring only Caden with you to this cabin, Penelope. I feel it would be best to have as little crew members inside as possible. I don't wish to stress out Mariko any further.."

As the Captain walked into the cabin, Mariko pranced about around, looking perfectly fine, except for the hand hanging from her other arm at an awkward angle. She liked the Captain. He was nice and smelled familar. He sounded like the smell of tobacco smoke, not the actual tobacoo or the smell of it, but she would hear the distant sound of the nostaglic scent and Aiden appeared. Although she didn't know what a dragon-kin was, or even that he was a dragon-kin, Aiden resonated, at least to Mariko, Fairy-tale lands and the ancient throbb of power."Dun worry about me, sah," she chirruped. "Ah jist fine, ya know!" The effect of cheer was ruined by the awkward lumps under Mariko's skin. She threw her bags near the wall and put the violin down gently. "Ah play fer ya sometime," she said. "When I can play again that is!" She let out her loose, cackling hyena-laugh and dug through her pockets with her good hand... "Ah-hah!" she thrust a note in front of Aiden's nose. It was from her previous Captain. Captain Kittypillars Dear unfortunate and unlucky wonderful and fortunate and wonderfully lucky captain! Please take good care of Missy Lapina. She's an excellent gunner, my best. I would have kept her, but women are bad luck on the seas, you know, and she's not exactly right in the head. The crew got disconscented, really. I've dumped her off at the Isles, whoever finds her, NO REFUNDS. I understand that she's a bit addled in the wits, but trust me, she's a most excellent lassie, although I know she had a problem with her previous-previous captain's parrot and barbaque sauce.... Have a jolly good day, and please take good care of her! Love and Kisses, Captain Kittypillars Mariko kept on smiling, despite the strange note. "Dunno what in blue hell it says," she stated. 'Cin't read fer me life." She looked around for Penelope. "So, when does the Surgery start? And where did the Sturgeon go?" she asked and threw herself on the bed next to the violin, jarring the bones something awful. "Eeeek, it tingles!" she exclaimed, clutching her wrist.

Tia laughed abit at his humor though it was something she had heard before. She looked towards the door as she heard the captain shouting about something she was thankful she hadnt been asleep she must likly would have fallen out of the hammock. Tia had wished to repay Tracey's kind words with a bold move as to kiss him, but with the sound of crew being near her courage for such a move vanished. "Thank you so much Tracey. You've been so nice to me and you've taken care me and you've only known me for a short time. Im not sure if Ill ever be able to repay you. I never thought I could care about someone so much in this short amount of a time. " Tia wasnt sure what to do with all her emotions so many going at one time.

Tracey heard the Captain; he was very near to them. Remembering that everyone got their own cabin, he assumed that the woman whom was hurt picked one close to them. A slight worry hit him because he hadn't actually done anything to claim a cabin of his own besides tell Tia, if someone picked one on both sides of her then he'd be out of luck of being able to be nearer to her.
He was happy that he had at least made Tia laugh. Listening to her speak, he thought about how mutual that was. He had never cared for anyone so fast, he was sure that Captain Avery was rolling in Davey Jones locker laughing his jaw right off. "Tia, no repayment is necessary, just knowing you care for me is more than enough."
He then thought about his old Captain and thought she might like to know just how special she is, "I wouldn't have even given you and Avlop a second thought on the beach yesterday evening. I would have done as I always do, just walked passed on my business. It was your bandana that caused me to stop at first. The one captain I looked up to the most wore them all the time. Mine was the one he wore the night he died."
He wasn't morose about it anymore, remembering the captain brought back more nostalgia then sadness now, months had passed since then and now he had moved on from missing the old seadog. "In his memory and because you seemed to need a bit of help from your company, I had decided to help you. It really was for nothing more then that. However, as I got to know you, something happened that never had before, I cared. You’re the first person, Tia that I have cared so much for in the amount of time we've had together. It really didn't take long for my caring for you became because I wanted to, not because of a memory." He was torn between thinking he should get back to watching the deck and wanting to be right where he was, with Tia.

Tia watched Tracey with a dreamy look partly from being tired, but mostly from feeling like this was just a dream something that couldnt be true. Tia almost felt like she was going to wake up at any moment back on the deck of Captain Blackheart's ship. "I wouldnt have blamed you for not giving us a secound thought I was being driven insane and Avelop was insane...is...., but Im glad James was right about this bandana being lucky. He gave it to me when I was finaly able to hit a target with my pistol. .....Its horrible to loose someone you look up too......I only wish I knew what happened to James." Tia thought about the other thing Tracey said with a blush painted across her face. "Ive never cared for anyone, I mean I loved James, but only as a father. Ive never cared for someone the way I care for you. Ive never missed someone so much when they were just gone from my side for a matter of a few moments." Tia was now fighting the rules that James had given her on how to be a decent woman. She wanted to hug him again or even kiss him, but they werent officialy anything. What was the next move? Tia had no idea this was new to her. She knew what James would say, but that wasnt what she wanted to hear right now. So for now she simply held his hand with both the hand he held now and also her injuried one.

He thought she looked tired, he was thinking about the nightmare she had woken up from that morning and guessed sleep wasn't all that restful for her. When she started to speak, she had his full attention.
The bandana was lucky? It was touching that she thought it was lucky to have met him. He felt sympathetic about Tia's plight with not knowing what happened to James. His voice was stopped when she continued. He knew he had feelings for her, but he heard her and gathered they were both feeling the same way. He himself wondered himself how to proceed.
He wanted a relationship with her; however, most of the pirates he knew that got into relationship were not the best role models about how to handle this. Finally he started to speak, "Avelop, I'll agree that he was insane, but you never came off as crazy. I feel very lucky to have met you, perhaps James prophetic. Dragon-kin are rare; I don't think we'll have too much trouble looking for clues as the ship ports." Now he had two quests. One was to find a cure for Annabelle, and now he would try to help her find her father-figure.
In a very gentlemanly manner, he may be a pirate but he struggled hard to also know the ways of being decent, he kissed the back of her hand that he held. "I'll always be near you Tia, never more then a deck away, and in my thoughts."
Then he switched gears a bit, concerned that he was keeping her awake, "You should get some more sleep, and you look tried. Would you like anything? More water or something to eat?" Neither of them had eaten in a while.

Penelope fell out of her trance while looking at the rolling waves, and nodded to McCallahan. She pushed some of her blonde hair out of her face, and diligently followed her Captain below decks. Then, he tossed her the key and she hastily grabbed it. As she turned to search for Victoria, she was ordered by the Captain not to give the keys to the white-haired woman after all. So, she kept a firm grip on the keys and continued downstairs. She passed Tia and Tracey's room, and smiled at them both. Penelope then averted her attention to Captain McCallahan and the woman with him. As they got to the room, Penelope smiled. This was a great room for surgery. She turned to Aiden, and nodded responsibly. "No one shall be in here save for Caden and I, no worries." After her last remark, she held out her hand to McCallahan, the keys inside her palm. If one looked closely, one could detect a faint sparkle in the woman's eyes. The candlelight danced in her eyes, and they became quite entrancing.
"Oh, Captain," Said Penelope, tearing her eyes from her handsome Captain momentarily. "We must not forget about the woman below us. She's been alone for hours now, and I bet she's hungry." She offered him a warm smile, her pink lips spreading across her face. "I'll be alright here. I think it would be best if you visited the woman and brought her some food, as well."

((oh Im sorry sweatdrop by the time you posted that he was in the cutlass already but Ill post this for a back reply))
Samuel smiled at Avelop and took the rum that was given to him. He smirked at Zalder, but Samuel had already made up his mind and he is abit thick headed about things like this. "I respect you for retracting your slap and such, but Im afraid once I make up my mind its made up. Keep your ears listening for Sammy the Skull Zalder, cause Im going to make something of myself. And one day every pirate will know my name." Samuel smirked at his rather story book speech before he left. He gave a wave then climbed down the ropes to return to the island.
