Ryu (in Lyserg's eyes, an Elvis wannabe with lots of advice and little success with girls): "Serenade her! Fix your hair! Dress like Elvis! Smoke! Ride a motorcycle! Buy her pretty things! Tell her she's thin AND pretty AND no other girls are more of either! Take her out to eat good food! Drink wine! Make sweet love on the beach, and then in your parents' room, and then.... "(continues in this vein for approximately three or four days.)
Faust (in Lyserg's eyes, a sweet but unstable German): Well.... you should keep clean... maybe learn to cook a little something... be patient.... maybe cure her incurable disease... and read Shakespeare." (nothing too hard about all that....)

Lyserg scratched the back of his head nervously. "Say... you wouldn't happen to have an incurable disease, would you, Shizuka?" if she did, maybe Faust would help him cure it.
The oversoul sputtered slightly, and for a moment bones were visible through the German Shepherd's fur. Frankensteiny whined softly, watching Shizuka and Lyserg.

Shizuka just smiled, happy that he was concerned enough to try and help her. There was no way that her voice problem was fixable, and she did get out of the 'hot seat' by finding a loophole in his comment, but having people care about her.. more than one... she had almost forgotten what it was like. It was easy to tell, too.
