Shinju smiled brightly. "Actually wood was the first element I ever mastered." Shinju said, "Most people are suprised by that because I come from a ice land." Shinju shrugged and smiled again.

Shinju chuckled and smiled. "I know that is odd. But my father was originally from Nekona, the land of forest." Shinju said, "So the ability to use wood is in my blood. It came more naturally then ice. I'm not sure why."

"Well, I'm heading back. I have some stuff for the tournament to finish up if I want it to get underway." He said leaving.
"Well, like other traits of your parents that get transfered to their kids, sometimes one ability gets transfered better then the other. It happens a lot in those situations. Whats rare is one that doesn't have the powers of either but something completely different. Like Ryu for example."

Shinju nooded her head. "I have something like that as well." Shinju said, "Got bothered alot because I was pretty good with fire. In an ice country that's dangerous."

"Yeah, Ryu had his share of fights, but he never fought back. I would ask him time after time why he wouldn't hit back, and he said with a grin on his face, 'They obviously have their own problems and beating on me lets them get the aggression out so there is no reason to hit them back.'"

Shinju tilted her hear and frowned slightly. "Sometimes there just isn't a reason to fight back." Shinju whispered, "No matter how hard you fight they just hate you more or hurt you more."

He said, excited.

Shinju smiled at Mazarith-sama. "Perhaps sometime in the clearing, I will spar with you." Shinju said, "Since the clearing appears to be the best place for that sort of thing."

"Acutally the fire dojo would be the best place. It's impervious to fire so you don't have to worry about hurting it."

Shinju laughed and shook her head. "I will see you there sometime but right now I want to focus on improving my bow skills." Shinju said. "That I need to work on more than anything else right now." Shinju the turned back to the targets. She drew her bow, aimed for just below the center of the target, and released her arrow with a slight jerk. The arrow flew quickly and hit the target just above the center.

He said, seeing Shinju's shot.
"Ooh! Awesome shot, Shinju!"
He said, clapping his hands.

"Thank you." Shinju said, "But it wasn't that great. I tend to jerk my bow when I release my shots so I need to learn the right adjustmente I need to make to get a perfect shot." Shinju then notched another arrow and aimed. "A bit more and I'll get the perfect shot." Shinju then released the arrow again with a jerk. The arrow flew and struck at the very edge of the center.
