"Hn." Kai grunted. He always spoke in a monotone.

"That's the puppy all right, but that's not our client. Someone's stealing the puppy..." Tsuki-sensei's voice trailed off.

Taki froze. "Sayuri, stop. That person...is a ninja. There's a headband around his waist, and he's probably already noticed our prescence," She whispered. "The only thing we can do now is disguise our chakra and move soundlessly, and hope that he's not one of the sound-or our whole coversation will have been heard."

"...Ninja can't see chakra, they sense it. Only the byakugan of the hyuuga clan of the village hidden in the leaves can see chakra, so splitting up your chakra won't help, only spread it out farther and make it more noticeable." Mizu whispered. Mizu and Taki nodded at each other, and both turned into water that soaked into the ground, wet from this morning's rain. They moved towards the ninja, underground, feeling where the ninja was through its footsteps. Tsuki-sensei and Kai joined them, silently agreeing that it would be the smartest thing to do.

Upon closer inspection, it showed that the ninja was one from the village hidden in the clouds. They followed the ninja out of the safety of the village and into water country.

"I don't know...there could be several reasons. Our first D-rank was harder than it should have been, that much is true." Taki said, stroking the puppy. "I'm exhausted though, I'm not used to creating and maintaining barriers for that long."

Mizu smiled, and nodded. "Yea, I noticed the dome strank a bit right before we left. That was the barriers you created disappearing?"

"Yep."

The puppy barked happily, and the team continued to the Mizukage's office where they celebrated a job well done.

"We all do...but...as for now, i need some rest." Taki and Mizu said in unison, they laughed and headed back to the compound, Kai at their heels.

Taki and Mizu both went into Mizu's room, which was large and had plenty of space. They chatted for a while about the mission.

"Your plan was wonderful, Mizu. I really wonder whatever happened to that ninja, if he was a rogue...if he was on a mission to get the puppy...if we ruined his day..." Taki's voice trailed off. "Oh! And the old man, whatever happened to him?"

"Taki...though I admire your caring nature, eventually, you have to realize, we're going to have to assasinate people, infiltrate villages, hurt many and destroy the hearts of the ones who love them, and destroy ourselves in the process. We are ninja, konoichi of the mist, we must remain without emotion. We will experience severe pain, both physical and emotional, we will also cause physical pain and emotional pain ourselves..." Mizu's face darkened, herself realizing the weight of those words.

"I...I....I guess I'm just a medical and defensive ninja to the core, you know? I want to help people."

"Yeah, but...there will be other things you must be capable of doing. Think of your idol, Tsunade-sama of the country of fire. Do you admire her just because of her medical capabilities or her power and kick-butt attitude as well?"

This brought a silence over the room, both twins deep in thought. Taki finally cleared her mind and began to meditate, Mizu beginning as well soon after. They had dinner brought to their room, as they were both exhausted and in deep meditation. Their father always said, "When tired out physically, one must go and train mentally."
