Cathal laughed heartily at Kaylee's comment.
"Hehehe, Ive been drinking since I was five years old lassy, I grew up in the Scottish Highlands, I was born to drink. But I guess that I shouldn't be drinking as much. And as for the cigars, they are for special occasions, I offered Khane one because I thought it would help to calm down his nerves."
Looking up to Khane, he said sarcasticly, "Though I dont think that it helped him that much."

"Cigars....more like death sticks" Kaylee muttered. "who needs killer angels when everyone can just get cigars" She had a reason to dislike smoking and drinking she could name quite a few freinds that had died from thoose spesific killers.

"Well im sorry that you seem to have such a terrible opinion of smoking and drinking, I agree that they are quite terrible habits, but they are a part of who I am, I can't change that."
Cathal screwed the cap back on his flask and put it away in his pocket.
"If it makes you uncomfortable then I can withhold from drinking in your presence...Well I can try anyways."

Kaylee looked over her shoulder at Cathal "thanks" she said smiling a litle. Glaring up at Khane she said "whatever I will get it myself and began attempting to scale the bookcase. She had to stop every once in a while beacuse the closer she got to Khane the dizzyer she got.

"Be careful there lassy! Ye dont want to fall and break something!"
He shifted in his seat, and continued to clean his claymore.
"Or would ye prefer if I got the book for you?"

Kaylee stuck her tounge out in concentration "no I can do it" She climbed the last shelf and grabed the book before over balancing and falling. She landed on her back and the book landed on her stomach. She lay there for a while before sitting up. She rubbed her head "wow that was....interesting." She smiled slightly as she realized she had the book "yay I got it!"

Witnessing Kaylee's fall, Cathal nearly jumped out of his seat.
"Are you all right there lass? I told ya you were going to fall! You should have let me get the book for you."
Then seeing that she was alright, and that she had the book he said, "Well youve got the book. Might I ask what was so important that ye had to risk breakin ur little neck ta get it?

Kaylee turned to face Cathal smiling. She stood up and tossed the book over to Cathal.
The book is smallish and black with peeling goldish letters that say something in some really old language. "Its a hisory of Angels" she said watching Cathals face to see how he reacted.

Lexy walked over to a table not far from where Abel was and looked at her hand. She flexed her fingers and thought to herself, Can I really control these things? She stared at her hand and focused, but nothing happened. Lexy had tried this for about 10 mins before giving up and looking up at the ceiling of the library. How do other people do this? she thought. Sighing, she looked back at her hand. Come on...A little something? Please? but nothing. DAMNIT! she cursed in her mind. Why the hell did my mom have to hid this from me? She could have told me and helped me control it, or something! She slammed her fist into the table. As soon as her hand hit the wood, a flame of shadows came up and engulfed her hand. Lexy smiled, no longer angry cause she did something, but at the very moment, the shadow flame left her. "Aww....So close. Damn."

"A History Of Angels?" Cathal said, with a puzzled look about his face.
"Now what would ye be needing this for? I get the feeling that this isn't just some light reading material..."
He stood and walked over to Kaylee, and handed the book back to her.

Khane finished polishing his pistols, sliding them deftly back into their holsters. He stretched out and finished the cigar, spinning himself off of the top of the bookshelf, landing with one hand planted solidly on the table that Cathal was leaning against. He drew his sword slowly with the other hand, tossing it up into the air and grabbing it in a forward spinning dive. He skidded to a halt along the table, dropping to a knee and slashing the air in front of him before spinning the hilt over the back of his hand, sheathing it, and turning to Erica, who he was now beside."So baby-doll, what are we going to do now?"

Abel decided to let Cathal deal with the new girl she seemed to like him, plus he himself was not all that interested in angels. He was a man who liked the company of demons better, they made for much better conversation starters. He watched as Lexy tried to control her power, it seemed she had some luck but lost it just as quickly.
"Wow you are doing better than me the first time they let me use some of my enhancements. I ended up slaughtering a room full of scientists accidentally when I activated one of the hidden weapon systems on me. Course it wasn't all bad, that one action convinced them that I wasn't a failed experiment."
Abel laughed at the memory of that incident, it was ironic how it happened since those scientists were the ones that had been planning to shut him down in the first place. Looking back at Lexy he could see that his words were probably not comforting like he had planned.
"Oh right, not into the whole violence thing, my bad. It is just the only thing I know, but rest assured at least now those I kill have usually done some major wrong to deserve it."

Lexy laughed nervously at Abel's story. "Sometimes your stories scare me," she said, still laughing. She looked back at her hand and sighed. "So, how do I control my power? I got it....A bit...." She looked at Abel, "Is there some trick to working with powers? Or something? I feel like I'm missing something here." She looked back at her hands again, "I know that anytime I got sad, scared or mad that those little creatures would appear but..." She paused and looked confused, "I can't walk around always being sad or scared."

Abel thought about the best way for her to figure that one out. He himself just had to learn restraint and a small bit of control. But that would not be what Lexy needed. Most demonic powers were easy to control from what he knew, the demon just thought about it and it happened. The problem was with half demons, and especially inexperienced ones. They usually had harder times with it, and summoning is always the hardest. You are basically creating something from nothing so it takes some major power.
"Well no I can't agree with walking around scared or sad, but what you tell me it does seem like your emotions control it some how. But of course that part of the brain also has other functions so it might be connected to something else. It will be harder for you since you have till now believed it was Jerry. The best choice is to keep trying for now, and maybe read some books. We are in a library after all."

"Oh its just a bit of light reaserch" Kaylee said. "The more you know the more you can use things to your advantage" She smiled. "I was also wondering if there were any philosophy books..." she turned back to the bookshelf and looked it up and down again before turning to another. "do you read alot? or do you just like to hang around in a library and watch people read?" she said turning slowly back to Cathal she was smiling and feeling better and better by the seccond.
