Flipping around to face Zephel while swimming forwards, Aya smiled. "My moma is the Kage. She has to approve all new students that enter our Academy. I was really excited to hear that one of Izuki's relatives were coming," Aya told him before dunking her head under water and trying to swim that last stretch.

Shinichi glared at Izuki and his relative, another annoying student that would be joining Koro-sensei's class. He didn't know much about Zephel, but the kid seemed kind of dumb. It wasn't just his speech, but his movements seemed clumsy and uneducated altogether. Shinichi allowed his body to warm as the sun came out and the river's rage was clearly lessened. He ignored the blabbering masses and dived into the river, telling himself that he would not fail this time.

It was a nice start, but he always had to be on his guard before he ran out of strength. The boy lifted his head and took a deep breath, relieved that the current had finally slowed so that there was almost no chance that he would have to be rescued any more. With slow, but renewed vigor, Shinichi let his body slip into the water. He propelled himself forwards using freestroke after freestroke, his body moving like that of a frog.

He never realised how much easier a little sun made everything. Shinichi pushed some soaking hairs out his eyes and looked towards the other shore. All he needed was one more decent stroke and he'd be done with this exercised. The boy chanced a look behind him. It only looked like Aya-san was done already because both the girls had been taken out several times and Izuki-san had not even started yet. Shinichi pushed his lips together and swam towards the nearby shore.

Shinichi swallowed some water, the pressure pushing him below the surface. His head started aching from the sudden release of water into his body and flailed about until he could taste the sweet air. How much more would he be able to go until he passed out? Shinichi waded in the water until he caught his breath and some sense returned. Well, he couldn't turn back now that the shore ahead was closer. He took a deep breath and lunged for the grassy riverbank on the other side.

Aya pulled herself up on shore, grabbing her shirt off the ground. Granted, the shirt was dry, but she still used it to wipe the water off her face. "Why don't we go visit Smi?" she asked. "Oh, wait, he's on away...." the little girl said, quickly correcting herself. It was the weekend and Smi usually went to the nearby cities to buy materials for his works. She had really wanted to go see him, but he wouldn't be home... Wait.. it was the weekend.. "Oh no! I have dance lessons!" the girl said, throwing her shirt on quickly. "Izuki, you're suppose to remind me! You're my alarm clock right?" she told him, running off. "Bye, Sumire, Myobi! See you later, Shinichi!" she told them all, waving her good-byes and running off.

He successfully grasped the earth and pulled himself out of the river, taking some time to allow the water to run off his body. Shinichi sat in a meditative position on some grass and waited until he could catch his breath. There was no doubt in his mind that Aya-san would be training so he had to use the remaining time to train as hard as possible. Plus, he had already promised himself that he would practise with those shuriken some more. Shinichi leaned back against a tree, his bare back scraping lightly with the bark. Maybe there was something else to do on the way to the Academy. He pondered this, then gathered his belongings and left.

Izuki smiled nervously as Aya went running back to the village. Pointing at himself again, he said, "I'm a bad alarm clock." Standing up without bothering to brush himself off, Izuki turned to his cousin. "Aya isn't the best dancer in the world, but I like watching her dance. Sometimes, it makes me giggle and sometimes it makes me sleepy," the boy said yawning as he mentioned sleep. "Hey! You know what would be fun?" Izuki told his cousin with a devilish look on his face. "Momakage kept the leftover paint from the hospital in her basement. We should go paint her special building," Izuki said, smiling cheerfully, so Zephel wouldn't feel too bad about it he added on, "It would be like praticing our artistic abilities!"

Sumire coughed a bit before smiling up at Koro. "Thanks, Koro-sensei!" she chirruped, just as happy as ever. When she glanced back across the river, she sighed a bit. "Man! I've got to start all over!" She laughed as she said it and looked at the sky. "Well, at least it's stopped raining!" With one last giggle she plunged into the water. She didn't make any headway, but she was trying.
[d20 + -1 Swim = 8] Hp: 7 - 1 = 6 0/3 Myobi kept her head underwater except for the occasions when she needed to breath. She dove underwater whenever she could. She barely even noticed that it had stopped raining. Though she did notice that the going wasn't quite as rough. It was still tough enough for her. She was over halfway across the river now and going strong. She only needed to keep it up for a little bit longer to reach the other side.

Sumire regained her rhythm soon enough, striking out further into the river again. She saw Myobi not too far ahead of her and grinned. The others were already across, but she wasn't discouraged in the least. Instead it gave her hope. At least now she knew it was possible. She kept her armstroke up, hoping to catch up with her little cousin.
[d20 + -1 Swim = 16] Hp: 7 DC: 10 1/3 Myobi was a little out of breath, having come so far. She was slowing down and not making much progress at all. After her quick sprint from the shore -- no doubt inspired by her embarrassment in front of Koro -- she was lagging again. Deciding that swimming was truly not her forte, Myobi still kept plugging along. She would cross this durn river if it swallowed her whole!

Sumire slowly moved forward. She wasn't fast enough to catch up to Myobi -- who had just reached shore -- but she wasn't far behind. She was over halfway, herself, and it was only a small sprint's worth of swimming to the shore. She forced her tired arms and legs to keep working as she continued.
[d20 + -1 Swim = 15] Hp: 7 DC: 10 2/3 Myobi set her jaw and put her last bit of fight into the rest of the swim. She finally made it to the other shore, flopping immediately onto her back to rest. She was glad that she was out of the water and that it had stopped raining. Maybe now she could get out of this embarrassing bikini and into some real clothes. But first, she would wait on Sumire. She was over halfway already. And it wouldn't take too much longer for her to reach the opposite shore.

Sumire struck out, not recognizing the signs of exhaustion in herself until she realized that she was starting to sink. Water got up her nose, causing her to sputter and choke. She was having a hard time breathing now and her nose and lungs burned. She hoped someone would help her out.

Myobi saw that Sumire was struggling and swiftly jumped back in to grab her. She pulled her to the opposite shore and waited for her to cough all the water back up. "You should be more careful," were her calm words. Sumire winced, still coughing. "Yeah. I guess we really don't get an advantage, huh, cuz? Ah, well! I get to swim for even longer now!" With that, she waded back into the water, swimming for that shoreline. She actually made quite some progress, finding herself a third of the way across before she realized it. Her mood was greatly improved, as she continued swimming.

Sumire wasn't too far out before she tired again. She started struggling. She glanced at Myobi on the shore, not having to speak before her cousin was right there, pulling her out. She sat upon the shore for a few minutes, trying to catch her breath. "This is harder than I thought!" She stared at the opposite shore in consternation. "How am I going to do this?"
