[Haha, k. ^^;]
Kana opened her eyes slowly again as he seemed to awaken, and shortly after climbed off of her. She remained frozen in place though, eyes very wide as they followed him, staring at his back in a kind of stunned shock. She blinked several times as her shirt was returned to her, but she didn't move to take it until he'd stood. Then she wormed her way towards the foot of the bed without lifting herself from it, threw the covers over herself, and reached out to drag her shirt under with her. She quickly slipped it back on and then peeked out from the covers, holding them together at her chin so it encirled her whole body, as well as the top of her head, kind of like a cloak that fastened at the chin. She stared at him, face crimson. The words 'you had a fever' kept ringing through her head though, and she bit her lip as she suddenly felt like crying. She was absolutely confused beyond belief and didn't know what else to do. He'd said he wouldn't do anything, yet she'd woken up like that?

[my parents are being evil... they're going to 'limit my internet time'... even though my bro spends so much more time on the computer stare grrr]
Koichi bit his lip, trying to think of how to explain as he put his shirt back on, a sigh escaping him. "It's stupid..." he started, no looking at her just in case, "but it's something of an old treatment that when someone has a fever, when you put the ill persons body against a healthy person, the fever dies down somehow... I think it's because of body heat or something..." he trailed off, trying to explain it best he could; he, himself, didn't even quite know how to explain, he just knew what the hell to do- which was a little awkward.
"I'm sorry, Kitty... if I've offended you in some way," he said softly, heading for the door to his left. He unlocked it before turning the knob and opening the door slightly. "You can stay in here, if you want... I guess I'll just go for a small walk," he said, before starting out the door and to his right, slowly closing the door behind him.
[yeah, well, he didn't think you'd be sick @.@]

[So they're making you get off? ><;]
Kana stared at him, her face still red and her eyes still wide. Then she breathed out slowly, closing her eyes for a second as she thought over what he was saying. She hadn't heard of a method like that, but she had no reason not to believe what he was saying. And if that really was true, that that's why he did it, then his intentions were good, right? So she had no right to get mad at him or anything if he only did it to try getting rid of her fever, which is something she wanted very badly right now. She was still breathing through her mouth, she realized, which meant her nose wasn't working. That was really odd in itself, and kind of scary at the same time. She wasn't used to having her senses so dull.
Her eyes opened again as he announced he was leaving and she suddenly threw the sheets away from her head, letting them fall to her shoulders instead. "W-wait!" she cried, and then bowed her head shamefully. "I-I don't... want to be alone..." she said, voice falling almost below a whisper again. She was still really freaked out by what had just happened, but she also knew that as soon as she found herself alone, she'd break down crying. She was biting her lip again right now, holding it back. The broken images of her dream were flashing through her head, and she couldn't escape them. But then, if he wanted to take a walk, she didn't really have a right to hold him back either. "I-I mean..." she stammered faintly, then trailed off. She glanced back up at him for a second, and then threw the covers back over herself so she was completely hidden. She sat on her knees on his bed, her head bowed low and her eyes shut tightly.

[yeah xD I left the second time cuz my doggy wanted to go outside >< so, i had to stay with him stare ]
Koichi stopped, looking over his shoulder. He just smiled slightly to himself; tipical, cute, Kana. He silently walked back inside, closing the door behind him. After a moment, he made his way over to his bed and Kana, placing a hand on the top of the covers. Gently, he tugged at it, hoping she'd let him take the covers off her head. "Come now, Kitty. I won't leave if you don't want me to," he whispered to her, placing his hand where he could only guess her head was.

[Fence in your backyard! That's what we did for ours. Then they can run around as much as they want. ^^ Ah, unless you don't have a large-ish backyard. ><;;]
Kana paused, listening to the sound of the door shutting. At first she thought he'd left, since she didn't hear him and his scent was already around her. Her nose wasn't working well enough for her to smell past the covers. But she jumped slightly in surprise as she felt a hand set upon her and then begin to tug at the sheets. She let them go and they fell away from her head and to her shoulders again instead. She blinked her eyes open, looking up at him silently for a second as they widened slightly. Then she bowed her head, biting her lip for a moment. "If you... want to go on a walk still, could I come with you?" he asked quietly. She felt like she was being somewhat needy right now, and didn't like it at all, but she knew that couldn't be left alone. She didn't want to start crying... But at the thought, a couple tears began springing to her eyes, not yet falling.

[our backyard doesn't look good with a fence xD that's the one problem xP]
Koichi looked down at her, rubbing a tear that was threatening to fall from her eye gently with his thumb. He smiled, though, extending a hand out to her. "If you want to take a walk with me, you don't have to ask permision to come, you can just come," he said simply; there was almost never a time he needed time alone to think. Even if there was, he wasn't going to take a walk to sort things out. "Come now, we'll go on that walk, but only if you want to; I was just going because I thought you wanted to be alone," he said softly, putting his cheek gently against her forehead again, trying to comfort her, as well as check for a fever, at the same time.

[Oh.. ><;;]
Kana lifted her head slowly and offered a faint smile. "Yes, I... want to go for a walk..." She thought maybe it would help take her mind of things, and distract her from the fact that she was suck. Maybe she could get different images in her head to replace the horrible ones currently there, of her mother as she... Kana's hand moved to clutch at her locket again as her other reached out to accept his. Though, her face flushed red again as she felt his cheek resting against her forehead. It was slightly hot though.

Koichi shook his head slightly as he slowly closed his fingers around her hand, raising both of theirs at the same time as he tried helping her up. He'd stood back to help her, a little worried about how she'd act once on her feet; she'd probably be spinning around due to the fever that apparently was still there. "Well, then, shall we be going?" he asked softly, giving a warm, consolidating smile.

Kana watched him stand back slightly and slowly crawled out from the cave she'd made with the covers. They folded in on themselves behind her as she slid out from under them and set her feet on the floor before pushing herself up. She wobbled for a second, but caught her balance soon after, though not before her hold tightened fearfully on Koichi's hand. She wasn't sure if a walk was such a good idea, but didn't want to stay here at all to fall asleep to that same dream. She shivered slightly as she took a small step towards Koichi and nodded. Nothing would go wrong. Koichi was there.

[knight in shining armor, right? xD]
Koichi wrapped the arm, that wasn't holding her hand, around her shoulders, as though to ensure he wouldn't let her fall, and would help keep balance. He slowly made their way to the door, before reaching out and turning the knob. He made sure to close it once they'd made it outside. He looked around, though, before back at her. "Which way?" he asked softly, smiling once again down at her.

[Yes! xD]
Kana didn't flinch this time as his arm went around her shoulders, nor did she jump or even blush. She just seemed almost oblivious to it as she trailed slowly at his side, ears twitching as she heard the door shut behind them. As he asked her where to go, she blinked at him curiously and then stared around before nodding her head to the right. "That way...?" She really didn't know her way around at all, so she had no idea where this would take them.

[^.^]
Koichi looked in the direction, smiling to himself as he nodded his head to her. They started off in the direction, slowly and steadly; thankfully, no one was around to desterb the quiet. He looked straight ahead of them, over the rail that lay in their path; it was where he'd spoken to that cat last night. He looked around through the corner of his eye, trying not to move or be noticed, looking for that cat. It was strange; all day, he hadn't seen it once. He figured it was from a whole different part of the house, and didn't pay much mind, but he wondered if he'd be seeing it again.

Kana trailed at his side, eyes darting around like usual. At least that didn't change from her illness. Though, they widened slightly as she saw where she was. This was the same place as last night! She froze as her face flushed very faintly red and she cast a quick glance at Koichi before looking fixedly at the rail. She wasn't sure what to do, so she just kept silent and stood perfectly still. It was kind of strange to return to the same place, just the two of them again. She wondered what they'd say this time, now that he knew it was her. She didn't think he'd admit he really liked her because of that.

Koichi looked at her, feeling her no longer moving [right?]. "Something wrong, Kitty?" he asked softly, looking completely bewildered. Had he said something? He looked ahead, at where she seemed to be gazing, before turning back to her. "I won't push you over, if that's what's on your mind," he chuckled, hoping to brighten the mood, if even in the slightest bit. He couldn't quite place if it'd been him who caused her to suddenly be slightly frightened, or if she was starting to see spots.

[Right. xD]
Kana blinked several times and looked back at him. "Ah, no!" she cried, pausing at his next comment. But she just smiled faintly, instead of doing her regular frantic protesting. She nodded her head slowly. "I know..." She looked back at the railing, staring at it again as her tail flicked slowly behind her. She was trying to sort through her thoughts. Apparently, he did like her more than a sister, but did she like him back in that way? Or was he still just her brother? She exhaled softly and squeezed his hand gently, head bowed slightly to the ground.
