Kagome: Kagome nodded her head to Kia.
"This is Kihara. I think she is a new ally, but I'm not sure yet..." Kagome said, quite unsure. "Kihara, this is Kia. She is the newest member to our group. She wants to help us destroy Naraku. Oh by the way Kia. Just how many jewel shards do you possess?" Kagome questioned. It's not that she couldn't sense them, its just that something was weird. She sensed more once Kihara got back from wherever she went to. She thought that maybe it was just her, or maybe Kihara had some jewel shards of her own.

Kagome: Kagome then knew that her suspisions were correct.
"Kihara, do you have a jewel shard? I sense three. And Kia only has two." Kagome questioned. She hoped that Kihara be outraged and refuse to give up the jewel shard.

Kihara became a little nervous and she sighed "I do posess a shikon shard... but its not in my hand... its literally inside my right hand..." Kihara placed the object that she had in her left hand in her pocket and she moved her hand from behind her back "I was surprised you didnt ask about it earlier Kagome... the purple glow that shows when Im healing someone.. or when I use intense fire energy... or when I fly...thats the power of the jewel.. and my powers."

"Well, before I was too worried about being attacked and controlled to notice the shard." Kagome laughed. "Do you plan on fighting Naraku with us? If so, we will need your shard when its all over as well. And if not, well Inuyasha wont be so easy." Kagome explained.

Kihara looked down at her hand and memories returned to her from when her father was still alive... as she was looking at her hand she continues to talk "...Im not sure if I should get rid of the shard.. I wont be able to help anyone without it... it was our villages Treasure..."

Kagome: Kagome's expression saddened as Kihara spoke. Her heart ached for the girl and she had no idea why. Kagome gently took Kihara's hand.
"We need the jewel to be complete. Without it complete, it could fall into the wrong hands again. And it would be the Naraku mess all over again. I don't know your story, but I do know that it takes a lot more than a stupid jewel shard to help people." Kagome said.

Kihara blinked kinda surprisingly at the caringness from the both of them and she hugged Kia back lightly " 4 years ago Naraku came to our village to search for the jewel shard. The jewel shard was our village's treasure, we were meant to protect it with our lives. My father, one of the 5 leaders of the village stood up against Naraku. Naraku started to destroy my village. My father took me and took the jewel shard and he cut my hand and he placed the jewel shard in the gash and he told me to hide and no matter what dont come out. I did as my father told me and when I heard silence I came out of hiding and found my father's body lieing dead on the ground near by... from then on I swore that I would destroy Naraku with my own powers and take revenge for our village"
