"I didn't want to say this in front of him but his career isn't over. he keeps pushing himself like he is, he'll be back on the field in about 5 months." he paused for a moment. "I didn't want him to get excited and tear something." he said.

She nodded. "I could only expect that much." She said, suspecting use of magic. "If he continues to push himself and something goes wrong, how could that affect his knee?" She asked, sensing the trainer's unwillingness to tell her, as well as him being attracted to her.

"if something goes wrong then his career will be over." he said. "I thought it was unusual for him because he doesn't look like a running back. That's why I asked."

She raised an eyebrow. "And in your personal opinion, what does he look like, Doctor?" She asked, venom in her words. She wasn't sure where he was going with this.

"he looks more like a corner back, or a free safety." he said looking at her. "I expect him to push around 800 pounds by the time his sessions are over so I would appriciate it if you push him to achieve it." he said.

"No offense or disregard for your decision, but there is no way in hell that I'm going to make him do something if he's not ready. That's your job, I'm not going to be responsible if something happens." She said, meeting Dan's trainers eyes. "Is that all?" She asked.

She walked back into the trainer's room and looked at Dan, no trace of a smile. "You ready to go?" She asked, cooly.

he looked at her completely serious. "sweetie I would've told you if I did. I would never hide something like that from you." he added. "Is this because of the weight i was pushing. Sweetie before I got injured I could push over a thousand pounds with my legs."

he looked at her. "I know what this seems like but I wanted to push myself to heal. I would never use magic without you." he said getting up and hobbling over to the crutches. "you don't believe me do you?" he asked.
