Saïx was too busy trying to will away the pain faster to notice Tifa looking at his features. Nodding his head, he turned his gaze to her.
"Yes. Much better. If you hadn't of got my attention, I would have never thought of coming out here..." He smiled, glad that she had helped him out.
It was still colder out, but from fighting, his body had adjusted. He watched her as the wind slowly blew by them, the breeze moving her long hair and black skirt-like material around her thin waist. He was having trouble keeping his promise to Roxas now...how much longer must they wait for their party?
He needed a distraction...
"Tifa," Saïx begun, thinking for a moment before continuing. "Do you want to take a walk for a short bit? Staying put for so long can be tiresome." He suggested, wondering if Tifa even liked walks...he knew nothing of what she liked, even after talking to her through the messager they all used for an alternate form of communication.

"Sure," The young woman responded pleasantly, even though her heart skipped a beat at his question. She remembered Roxas' earlier words to her, strange as they were, and she couldn't help but wonder if what he said was true.
But...they didn't know each other too well yet, right? So...it couldn't be her, right?
Shaking away those thoughts, Tifa tucked an errant lock of hair behind her ears as she quietly waited for him to lead the way. With all the things that had gone on lately, she'd forgotten about the chill of the night.
Rubbing at her arms swiftly and trying to forget about the weather - she didn't want to inconvenience Saix - she nodded in a general direction and added easily, "Any destination in mind?"

Saïx begun to walk, heading towards the bailey. He noticed that she was slightly cold. He had nothing to offer her, and he could tell from how faintly she did it that she was trying to hide it from him.
He walked beside her, silent as he walked along the path he had never traveled before. After a moment, he gazed up at the moon overhead. This must be some kind of dream... Saïx mused to himself. Having a heart...having these feelings. Feelings he had never felt before in his life. It felt...nice. Is this what the others must have felt? What Riku told me I would never understand? He asked himself.
He heard her ask for a destination..."No, no destination, really. Just a walk." He told her, his voice slightly distant from the thoughts in his head.

Keeping pace with him easily, Tifa smiled at his response. He was quiet now, so much different from the agitated state he'd been earlier, and she was happy for that.
"Okay then," she murmured quietly, not wanting to break the comfortable silence that spanned between the two of them.
The streets were silent, and Tifa was gazing up at the sky, at the little stars that were generously sprinkled in the night sky, like precious dismonds against a velvet curtain. Finally, though, she spoke, a flicker of a smile dancing on her lips. After all the commotion, it was refreshing to simply...relax. She knew that they were headed for alot of trouble in the near future, but with Saix here...it was impossible to dwell on that bleak possibility.
"It's such a beautiful night..." she pointed upwards almost excitedly, "You see, there's Orion's Belt!"

Saïx followed her gaze at the stars. So she enjoyed start gazing as well? He grinned, enjoying that thought as he wrapped his arms around her waist and jumped, easily making his way to the higher portion of the town, letting go once they were up. "We can sit here. It's the highest part of Hollow Basti- Radiant Garden. We can see the stars much easlier this way." He explained, sitting himself down against the wall and beat fence as he gazed up.
He watched the stars, faintly noticing her sitting beside him. "Tonight is beautiful...Not a cloud in sight and nothing to ruin the sight. Just clear skies with plenty of stars." He whispered, his smile still on his lips.
And the moonlight...it lights up the town nicely...as well as you, Tifa. He found himself thinking. He had never envisioned it like that before...He often saw the moon as a sort of tool for himself...but now, it was something that made him feel glad to be alive, to see this woman he baraly met seem all the more breathtaking under its pale glow.
"I hope that this night will always be this peaceful..." He said softly, looking over at Tifa, taking in her peaceful gaze he too had on the sky not too long ago.

Tifa was shocked when Saix had wrapped his arms around her and brought her up to the higher portion of the town.
Her heart had leapt in her throat in the few moments that his arms were around her, warm and secure. His touch was gone too quickly when he let go of her, and the young woman was dazed for a few moments before she quickly recovered and took her place next to him. God, why was she always so stupid when she was around him?
Admiring the smile on his lips for a few brief moments, Tifa turned back to the sky and nodded her agreement, leaning back slightly and hoping that she didn't fall off.
Oblivious to his thoughts, Tifa turned to smile at him, her hands at her sides to support herself as garnet eyes sparkled in the silvery light. She hoped for peace too, and she knew that that day would soon arrive. They were all fighting together, weren't they?
"It will, someday," She responded. "We're all fighting for that, aren't we? And as long as we believe that it'll come one day, it will!"
Pointing upwards towards the stars, she laughed softly. "See, Saix? Those are not stars at all. They're little holes that the angels poke in the night sky, so that tiny bits of Heaven can peek through, and so that we can see that they are watching over us."
She'd always believed in it as a child, and she had believed in it even now as she smiled at him softly. "They'll be watching over you too....always."

Pride thought through the situation momentarily. Now? No… not now. It would be best to wait. Let the notion grow before anything was done with it. He was merely setting the stage for the play to perform later on. Now was not the time.
“The cost is an answer that drifts in the unknown,” The Heartless stood and held up a hand. From that handed issued another portal leading to the paths of darkness. “I have given my message. Think long and consider the offer. I shall return for your answer in time.”
With that Pride left, portal dissolving behind him. Lonely shoes clacked on the emptiness that was Betwixed and Between. Now his job was done. He could return home. All he must now do is wait for the other’s to finish theirs.

”AUUUGGHHHHHHHH!!!!”
Greed’s scream of agony filled the room when Saix took his brutal hold on his burnt arm. He couldn’t contain it. It was too much. The pain. It was unlike anything he had felt before. It only grew and grew and became more unbearable. Look at him. How… shameful.
The searing pain did not dissipate when the blue haired man released his arm but it was much better than before. Greed gasped for air, trying his best to relieve the pain that simply would not go away. Did he deserve this? Even if he didn’t… he could do nothing.
Greed was more than thankful to have Zexion stop Saix and his woman to lead him away. It was his personality would simply not allow him to voice his appreciation. But his eyes could. He struggled to look at the teen with thankfulness before, once again, wincing from the pain.
“Heh…” the Heartless laughed weakly to Saix. “Ta…take your time…”
That pained grin returned to his lips. “You can tell …” he was having problems speaking now. He had yet to catch his breath. “You… can tell him that I… I’ll answer your questions. Don’t… worry.”
“Our group… there are… seven of us. I am third, Greed, and Marluxia’s counter… counterpart. Four… is Envy. He is Vexen’s Heartless. Five is… Saix’s Heartless… Wrath. Larxene’s… Lust… is… is Six. Gluttony is Seven… Luxord’s… Then… Two. He is Pride… Zexion’s Heartless. Then Sloth… he’s Demyx’s Heartless… and… Number One.”
The last two names were mentioned with a touch of spite and anger. He’d rather not think of one or two at the moment. There was just too much… too much going on here.
He had to wonder, though, if Pride had finished his task.

Suddenly, Envy could no longer breathe. He was being choked! Choked! He felt the strong fingers wrap themselves around his neck. No no no! You’ll break it! You'll break it! No! He knew this could only be one person… the person that he feared the most. That was only confirmed when Sloth began to speak. He was helpless when the Heartless leader swung and sent Envy flying to the ground.
He coughed for awhile with both hands fumbling to his throat. The choking sensation was gone but it would be a long time before he forgot the feeling of Number One’s fingers slowly attempting to pull his life away. If he squeezed any harder, he surely would have died.
He had no time to answer Sora’s question. Instead, he struggled to sit up and began shouting with a now hoarse voice.
“No! Don’t fight! You can’t take him! Go! Go! Run for your lives! He’ll kill you!”
Before Envy could say anything further, he fell backwards in a fit of chokes and coughs. He was yelling too soon after the damage that Sloth had inflicted. Now it was up to those kids to save their skins. He could only hope that he would get out of this alive as well. Oh how he hoped he would...

“Huh?” Roxas fell backwards as Stitch fumbled out of the room. “Stitch?” The boy looked around the room a little longer. The smile that Stitch had given him faded away when he saw Marluxia’s Heartless now awake. He, Leon, Saix, and even Marluxia seemed deep in the conversation with him. Probably some kind of interrogation…The blonde made his way to his feet and followed the little alien outside.
“Poor Stitch… something in there is bothering him…” he mumbled. That wasn’t to say there was nothing on his mind… nothing plaguing him. Roxas stood against the wall below the steps and slid to the ground. He gathered his knees in his arms and continued to stare at the ground with those bright blue eyes.
What was going to happen to them now? Kingdom Hearts was gone… He knew what Sora and everyone had said on the journals. About how it wasn’t his fault and that it wouldn’t make a difference. He still felt that he had some way in bringing its demise. Why had his heart come back? He knew he was not about to give it up for anything… but he just felt so torn. Almost as if he was stuck down the river without a paddle.
More than anything, he felt lost. Roxas sat out in the chilly breeze and buried his head into his knees with his thoughts overwhelming him. He almost wanted to cry but he knew that tears were no where nearby. They never came when you wanted them too. Instead, he closed his eyes and felt himself drift off into a light slumber.
He didn’t want to feel alone anymore.

“Saix! No!” Leon reached out to stop the ex-Nobody but was too late. The Heartless screamed in agony as the man took hold of his burnt arm. “Saix!” Leon yelled again, only to no avail. But again it was Zexion… no, Ienzo… who came to the rescue. Once asked, Saix hesitantly released Greed’s arm. He then continued to leave with Tifa. Perhaps it was for the best. Saix was asking most of the questions but he was also both irritated by the cuffs and too rough with the prisoner.
Greed continued to speak but it was obvious how weak he had become. It was almost like was a different person from before. Was he in that much pain? Leon could help but feel a pang of sympathy for him in his heart… no! He was the enemy? Right? He shouldn’t be feeling sorry for the Heartless. But still…
Leon continued to listen to Greed’s explanation. Luxord, Larxene, Saix, Vexen, Marluxia, Zexion, and Demyx… those were the Heartless they would have to fight.
“There are only seven of you though…” Leon decided to ask yet another question. “What happened to the other six that were part of the Organization XIII? And how are you ranked? Why the numbers?”

Stitch had been hiding out in a corner, clapping his paws over his head and struggling to wait until the sounds ended. The high pitched whistling angered him, and the little summon had left a trail of destruction in his wake, ripping up random trees and tearing into assorted things that lay nearby.
However, the tiny creature had not gone too far, and had perked up when he spotted Roxas outside the house. Remembering the way the boy tried to soothe him in the journals, Stitch flattened his ears against his head and trotted over, all four little legs making skittering sounds on the pavement.
Was Roxas tired? Stitch knew that people looked like that when they were tired, or sad, and the tiny summon nudged at the boy's knees, it's tiny tuft of a tail wagging hopefully. This boy was as nice as Sora, and maybe Stitch could help him out, somehow.
He didn't like to see others looking so lonely.
Making a soft chittering noise, Stitch tried to crawl into the little space between Roxas' chest and his legs, tiny limbs scrabbling for purchase on the boy's form.
"Erngh!" The summon grunted, nudging at Roxas again, trying to crawl in. It was a bit of a squeeze, but Stitch liked it. It was warm and nice and reminded him of home, wherever that was now....

"See, Saix? Those are not stars at all. They're little holes that the angels poke in the night sky, so that tiny bits of Heaven can peek through, and so that we can see that they are watching over us." He heard Tifa tell him as she pointed up at the stars.
He had heard the same story. From his mother, it being slightly different. "I heard something slightly different..." He whispered, but the smile never left. "My mother once told me, that when a king in our pride dies, he's not truely gone. They continue to watch over us, protecting us." He told her, which was not any different from her story.
He wanted to believe it...but they let him die. But then again, it must have been fate. Had he not died twice and come back, he would have never had his life turn around for the better.
He would have never met Tifa and the others Sora knew, never seen home again, or see just how good life true could be. I wonder if you are up there as well, father...or are you still alive? He thought to himself. Deep down, he missed his father. But he was also the cause of his misery and half his scar. He could never forgive him for that...
Xaldin almost covered his ears at the howling scream from Greed. He seemed like it hurt so much...but it did get them information without hesitation.
He was about to ask, but he stopped himself. He was the enemy. ENEMY! Xaldin could not go as far as to asking if he was all right. But still...what Saïx had done was uncalled for...

Aerith was a bit caught off guard when Cloud asked what was wrong, "Oh...it's nothing. Just a little stressed".
Liar, Why can't you just tell him how you feel? Are you really THAT traditional?
If it was possible for her to kick herself, she would. Well, atleast she could vent to Yuffie, wait...her guy problems? Yuffie likes someone? Wow...now she wanted to know who. Best to spill her male troubles first.
Aerith lowered her voice to a low whisper, "It's Cloud, incase you haven't guessed....is it that obvious?" she looked down, a bit embrassed, "So...what about you?"
Kairi lead the former organization leader through Radiant Garden, until they finally came across a shop. She peaked in the window, she couldn't see anyone. Kairi slowly opened the door, "Hello...?" And there was the shopkeeper, a small duckling. Well...that was something you don't see too often. After talking with the keeper, and getting a decent deal on the items, she paid and walked back outside, where she left Xemnas.
Kairi doubted Xemnas could remeber his shoe size...let alone to tie them, so the best she could do was guess. She bought a fairly big pair, just to be safe, and a jacket.
"Here you go" she handed the items to him, "Do you remember how to put on shoes...?"

Greed slowly looked back at the man with but one scar. It wasn’t that he really objected to their questions… it was that he was so tired and really wanted to rest… not talk. Not like he had a choice, though.
“Well…” Marluxia’s Heartless began. His breathing had finally become regular though it was still a little more labored than normal. “You are well aware that Xehanort’s Heartless was defeated long ago. And Sora’s… he was always an exception…”
His mind flitted back to years ago, when there were twelve. All but the Heartless of Sora were present. But then…
“Let’s say that the others who are no longer with us didn’t make the cut, okay?”
