DiddleFreak61387 We got a crappy one as well.. but luckily our school got some nice Marching Tubas, and Shiz they ain't that bad, they actually are most likely Lighter than a sousaphone, the ones we have anyway. And you can horn pop a marching tuba. I'd like to see you try that with a sousaphone. (( Phantom Regiment, they have 16 of them for their marching corps )) O we horn poped our sousas at the end of the show last year,we had to lift them up and arch our back way back, I demand that my BD pays for a chiropracter now ><

(( Phantom Regiment, they have 16 of them for their marching corps )) I didn't even know they MADE marching tubas. XD But then, our school only does pep band and marches once a year around the hallways of our school, so I guess that explains it. >>;; And we've only ever had one tuba at a time, so having one sousaphone isn't really too big of a deal, I guess.

But If you have a marching band, Marching Tubas are alot easier to handle than a sousaphone, it rests on your shoulder when you play and you can carry it with one hand instead of your entire body, which may get challenging, i mean it was fun enough carrying a Bass Drum around, i don't think i could work with a Sousaphone, hell the Marching Tubas were lighter than my Bass Drum!!!

Were sousas, and stubborn when it comes to slideing, most bands have there sousas bell left turned to the left alot and stuff, but ours have to be perfectly cented above our mouth, becuase our bd is weird, and it sucks marching pecase your supposed to slide twords the press box and instead of having to turn our head like all the other insruments we have to turn our whole upper body, and that dosent help when we are marching perfectly perpendicular to the press box when you go infront of it, you allmost have to crab walk, wich our drumline wont less us do becuase there possesive lol.
