Rage released the crib in one, swift motion. As though he'd temporarily forgotten himself and had only just now come to the realization that what he was doing was out of character. He blinked back a mild daze and removed himself from view of Mirage. The window was his first stop, the one place he went to truly feel nothing. His eyes grazed the the trees, the grass and the looming, jagged cut across the distant sky that marked the mountains of Faetasia. It was a flash of movement as he cracked the window, lit a cigarette and took a slow, steady drag from the object. The tip flashed orange/red and the smoke climbed unhindered into the morning sky. Did he really miss it out there? In all honesty, not really. He had nothing, no matter where he went or what he did, before Aysel he'd had nothing and no-one. Ever. But he refused to play the pity game, he had no willingness to marinate in his own turmoils. Honestly, it wasn't as if he'd lived the life of a saint or anything. He would lay blame on nothing and no-one, not anymore.

The minutes crept steadily past before he remembered Aysel was in the bathroom, he felt a tug to go, to join her but part of him just couldn't, part of him hesitated. His eyes narrowed and, taking a swift and final drag on the cancer stick, he flicked it out the window, exhaling swiftly the final haze of smoke before he snapped the glass pane shut and turned his gaze to the bathroom door. He thought for a second she might not want to see him but then his old, his true, temperment kicked back into gear. It was his home too now and he needed a bath. His pawsteps were silent though not intentionally so as he made his way to the bathroom door and opened it quietly. The wood gave without protest and he slipped in easily. The heat seemed to envelope him as he stood framed in the doorway, looking once again both strong and untouched by the world around him. The exotic aroma of the bath began to relax the male as he finally stepped from the entrance and made his way towards the bath.

His eyes found her easily, she was hard to miss. But he was composed, resolved, even if he felt slightly more aimiable simply by being in her presence he wasn't about to jump all over her like a mad dog. He didn't hesitate as he stepped down into the bath and up to his waist. He passed her, turning to face the door and stretching his arms comfortably along the sides of the luxurious spa-quality bath. He closed his eyes for a moment as he leaned back, simply taking it all in and trying to loosen up. He never understood why it was so hard, why he was so much different emotionally. Until now he'd never cared to ask. Opening his eyes slowly he looked over at the beautiful Nymphae before him, his amethyst eyes almost glowing as they reflected the water. "Aysel.." He began, unsure of what to say or how to say it. Chaos she was gorgeous, it left him speechless. She had a way of doing that to him. It never failed.

Rage's sudden presence in the bath with her took Aysel completely by surprise. She had never felt the urge, nor the instinct to cover up. She did not now. She could only feel relief that he had not seen her weak moment, her vulnerability. Whatever he saw in her now, it was far from that. Reaching into the bath, she splashed water on her face, removing any trace whatsoever that she had been upset.

"Yes?" Her long, green hair floated on the water, contrasting vividly against her fur. Edging forward slightly, every movement precise, almost planned, she crept closer to Rage. It was not because she wished to seduce him. Not right now. It was because he was a comforting presence, and she needed that from him. She wondered whether he would mind if she came even nearer, and, before he could make a protest, she crept into the circle of his arms.

"I was... wondering if we had settled on a name for our daughter. The other one." Raine, her thoughts whispered to her. But thoughts were misleading. So misleading. How could she possibly name a child that presumably no longer belonged to her? She wanted, badly, to be able to hold that little one as she held Mirage. Mirage, who seemed so ridiculously jealous of her father. The thought brought a slight smile to her lips, and she glanced up at the 'father' in question.

Rage was still trying to figure out exactly what it was he wanted to say when he noticed that his arms were no longer supporting only him. It took him a few moments, he nearly ignored the urge but he gave in because, well, because being close to her was something he wanted. It was as though she taught him how to feel, holding her taught him much more than he could ever have learned on his own. His arms snaked about the female before him, pulling her back against his chest amd listening as she spoke.

He felt a twinge, a nerve brushed by her request. "Why?" He asked casually, the cold edge to his voice ever present but somehow muted when it came to this subject. "What good will it do? Why torture yourself by naming.." By naming what? Their daughter? He felt his stomach harden as he paused, it was like everything had gone to rot and was eating away at him steadily. Instead of pressing on with the why he decided to let it go. "What did you have in mind?" His voice was calm but empty, soothing yet detached. His gaze momentarily on her before he was absorbed by the steam rolling off the water and filling the air with heat.

Her scent hit him suddely and he felt a little disoriented, even under the layers of everything else she picked up he could still smell her. It was a scent he would never forget, not since day one when he woke up to find a weird, though very attractive, girl sleeping in his arms where there had previously been none. The bewitching aroma of a demons ward who seduced him without even breaking a sweat where some had toiled pointlessly for ages to be granted anything but the inevitable rejection. The water lapped at his pelt and he felt his stress slowly melting away. A shock of blonde, or rather goldenrod, hair fell over one eye as he leaned forward and rested his cheek against the right side of her head carefully. He'd always been afraid of injuring her somehow, of hurting her physically. It was so weird. He used to love hurting people.

"Raine. I had wanted to name her Raine." Why was she so obsessed with his name? Both of those names, both of them stemmed off of his. Neither of them was anything like her own. Anything at all. But, really, that was almost to be expected. She had had no father to speak of, besides Azazel. Aysel, Azazel. It could be no coincidence. She had been named for her adoptive father. Why should her little ones not also be named for their father? Yet here, it was a much more positive rendition. They deserved to bear his name because he was worth it. Bits and pieces of his name. Did he realize what it meant? Did he realize what that suggested.

"I think that I..." Love you. I think that I love you. Why couldn't she say the words? They were so simple, so short. It was scarcely a sentence. Yet every time she tried to speak the words or even whisper them, they caught in her throat. In a tiny voice, very, very softly, she continued. "I have fallen in love with you." Wincing, she waited for the inevitable string of curses, the denouncement, the disbelief that was sure to come.

"Please don't be angry." Darting her eyes up to meet his, she hoped that it would be enough. Why, oh why had she said that? She was regretting it already, but she had never been good about concealing her emotions, concealing her thoughts. She was not, by nature, a liar or closed mouthed. Sometimes that got her into trouble, but really... where was the harm, when it was just the two of them? She could not believe that he would intentionally harm her. But oh, he could hurt her. Hurt her, and never mean a word of it. He had a roughness that all baddies shared in kind, or so she believed, and it caused his sharp edges to cut her from time to time.

Rage simply listened, he gave no judgement and offered no suggestions. Raine, he rolled the name over in his mind, somehow it fit. Like a puzzle piece you were sure was incorrect until someone else linked it for you. He offered a supportive 'Hmm' which wasn't all too supportive but had no negative undertones, which was a good thing. What came next wasn't something he'd been expecting to hear at all, in fact it took several minutes for it to register. He felt an emotion, something that he'd never really felt before in his entire life, at least not to this degree. It was fear.

"You what?" He blinked, moving his head away from hers and turning her to face him fluidly, his face devoid of a reaction save for the glint of disbelief in his eyes. Then she was pleading with him not to be angry and the ability to reason with himself seemed to desert him. He didn't know how to react, what to say or how to feel. In common cases such as this it was expected to latch onto the significant other and weep, or kiss, or embrace at the very least. Rage couldn't bring himself to do anything but look at her. She fell in love with him? She loved him? How could she love him? "How can you love me, Aysel?" He asked, a point blank question with no room for misinterpretation. The way it was spoken was with simple, one hundered percent disbelief.

"Why would you-" He seemed to reconsider but never finished his sentance, he couldn't. The thought that someone, anyone could fall in love with him was unbelievable. Was this what he felt? Was it love? Everytime he saw her, held her, shared the night with her was love what drove him to such madness? He was torn between running and embracing, between fear and desire. Love.

The Baddie closed his eyes, trying to collect his thoughts as his brows furrowed deeply in thought. Finally it came to him. The one question he needed to ask. "Why me?" Why him indeed. What good had he been to her? All he saw was the hurt he caused her, the coldness, how little he'd sacrificed by comparisson throughout this entire ordeal. And something else came to him. She deserved better. But that flame for her, that 'feeling' erupted in jealousy at the mere thought of anyone else holding her or touching her the way he did, the way he wanted to.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 01, 2008 7:25 am

"Because I do. Because you... you fit me, somehow. I don't know! How do you explain love? Because you're... strong, and silent, and handsome, and... so many things. You're sly, I know there's some humor there, hiding. You comfort me, hold me when I need it. Even when you fight it. What am I supposed to say, Rage? I love you. I didn't choose to love you, I simply fell for you. Would you... rather I didn't?" That vulnerability was clear in her eyes again, in her face, the tilt of her lips and the set of her jaw.

"I didn't expect to... Azazel always told me to avoid those feelings, but somehow they crept up on me. And I... I didn't want to listen to him!" There it was, the reason she hadn't shied away when first she'd felt the feelings stir. She had been angry with her master for seeming to support the removal of her child, and for trapping them here. She loved to have Rage with her, but the fact that he was there against his will didn't exactly help her to feel that he wanted to be there.

"Are you very angry?" she asked, her voice soft, and small. Brow furrowing in an unconscious mimicry of his, the nymphae clung just a little to the baddie. "Can you forgive me... for loving you?" In truth, why would she need forgiveness? But that spoke of a more normal relationship, something that theirs was not. It was anything but normal, the circumstances surrounding it had been truly bizarre, and very traumatic. Watching the emotions dance across his face, she hoped. It was a weak, frail hope, but it was something. Something to hold close to her breast. Something to nurture.

Rage couldn't speak, he couldn't move. It was like he was completely and utterly frozen to the spot as this beautiful, fragile creature poured out her heart and soul to him. Him! A cold, unfeeling monster of a Kat who had no idea how to treat affection or how to treat someone who deserved everything he didn't know how to give. But was he so much a monster when he was with her? No, he was something else, something different and better in a way he couldn't quite grasp. She made him stronger. She naturally brought out a side of him he didn't even know existed. And through it all he thought he felt nothing.

The feelings she invoked finally gave him a kick and his heart jumped in his chest as she clung to him, those eyes pleading with him and the tears. He was captivated by everything those tears represented. "Don't cry, please, don't cry Aysel." He managed finally, his voice quiet and steady but on the verge of something more as he raised a paw to brush away her heartache. Somehow it killed him when she cried. It had since the first time he'd seen her crying.

The world was both unmoving and endlessly spinning until he held her. He didn't even think about it before it happened, it just came to pass. He pulled her to him not so much roughly as firmly and simply held her close, blending his scent and her own until he couldn't seperate the two and one wasn't without the other. "You're- You're the only one who's ever made me feel, Aysel." He started and once he did he found the words came effortlessly. "The only one who cared enough to hold on. Until I met you nothing made sense, nothing was real. I don't think I can continue to live my life if I know you won't be there.." It was almost too much, he couldn't believe the words had come out of his mouth but they were true. The feelings that had plagued him since he'd first layed eyes on her were finally revealing themselves as love.

Did... did he really mean it? Could he? Suddenly, Aysel became aware that her heart was pounding in her chest as if it wanted to escape, as if it had wings. Could he hear her heart beating that frantically? "Oh, Rage... I had no idea... I..." Speechless for a moment, the nymphae brought her lips to the baddie's, purple fur blending with red for a moment, as goldenrod and green hair commingled. Bringing a paw up to gently touch his cheek, she gazed up at him. "Do you mean it?" She sounded breathless, even to her own ears. It brought a slight, timid smile to her lips. If he meant it... if it meant it... it would mean the world.

She stroked his cheek, softly, reveling in the warmth that she could feel from him even in the bath. The tears were long forgotten. She had all but forgotten how to cry. Laughing helplessly, shallowly, she clung to him. "I... can barely believe it! It's amazing." She could believe it, though. That thin shred of believe had her giddy, had her looking like a fool before him. Where was her usual seductive, sultry appeal? It had flown away, as though it had never belonged in the first place.

It would return, no doubt. Probably at a very inconvenient time. Probably when she least wanted it to. Biting down on her lip, she gave him a sidelong glance. "Does that mean that you will stay?" Finally, a confirmation from him? To have him stay and fight his battles with Mirage forever would delight her. She could watch the two of them bicker unto eternity if it meant that he'd be by her side. It was so charming, in its own way too. She was beaming, and just couldn't stop. Only he could make her so happy, so effortlessly.

Deranged thought long and hard about what he was doing, about what it would mean. He felt her heart, felt the soft press of her lips against his own but he waited to give her his answer, his decision. Her happiness hung on one little word, his happiness depended on it, if he ever wanted to try for happiness he would only find it with this female. He knew that. He wasn't certain how he knew but he did. And in truth, she was the only female he wanted, the only one he'd ever want.

His paw dipped under her chin, a finger pressed softly to the underside as he lifted her face so he could look into her eyes, his own so intense and wild as they met her gaze. And with a few moments passed in silence he said all he needed to say. "Yes, I mean it." He breathed, his eyes searching her own, trying to show her he meant it, that he honestly and truthfully meant it with every fiber of his being. "I long only for you." He kissed her then, his lips pressed passionately to her own as he snaked an arm about her waist and held her close, the one female who made his heart beat fast.

The warm mist of the sauna enveloped them, the scent and feel of the bath long forgotten as he inhaled the new scent they created together. But something else stirred in him now as well, a determination to fix it all. He would make them whole by finding what had been taken from them. He wouldn't say anything, not now, not when he had her here in his arms, the happiest he'd ever seen her. He kissed her along her neck, across her chest. Nibbling at her shoulders and neck softly as he picked her up and held her in his arms. She completed him. The part he'd never had, the part he'd searched so endlessly for was right here in his arms.

A deep chuckle rumbled up from within his chest as she spoke as his smirk widened. He knew of course. But he did just want her to say it. It was just something about hearing it coming from those luscious lips that made it all the more exciting to think about. And in return, of course, he wanted her just as badly. She was all he pined for in his quiet solitude away from her for so long. And Kebas had never really pined for anything in his life. "Well if you want to spell it out I wouldn't mind." The male nibbled lightly on the end of her nose, giving her bottom a small pinch with his fingers. "Mmm, then you must have a really bad memory. We'll have to work on that so that you don't forget."

Ears flicked back slightly as the sound of rumbling thunder in the distance reached them. Kebas liked the rain. Especially when it was heavy like it was now. Something about it just seemed so--soothing. Either way, even if he hadn't liked it before he would now. It would remind him every time it happened of this night. He had gotten Rinko to open herself up a little more, to reveal more of herself that she held inside than probably anyone else had ever done. It was a small conquest really. But nothing all too important. If she hadn't wanted to she wouldn't of said anything. It would be interesting to adjust to it all in the end.

Ventash'ma gave one quick look around the small clearing to make sure he had gotten everything. Always leave with what you brought in. Never leave anything behind as there were other animals out here that could wander into an area and get sick from trying to eat left over foods. Not that Aullana's food would make anyone sick. These animals just weren't accustomed to the types of foods that they ate.

Nodding, he offered his arm to her. "Yes, lets get going. Don't want to dawdle around here too long." Ventash'ma enjoyed the hot springs. Perhaps not so much the wet part but the way the warm water bubbled and soothed his muscles. Dealing with Chath on a day to day basis left him feeling a bit stiff sometimes.

Chath took a hold of the water bottle. Slurping down a few gulps of the blue berry water before she resumed her position of clinging to her mother. Leaning her head against Aullana's shoulder as she stared a bit sleepily out at the world. No, no tummy aches. But all the excitement had drained her of quite a bit of energy. All that adrenaline had finally started to leave her system. Maybe after the hot springs she'd take nap on the way to wherever they were going.

Rinko gave him a look of humor tinged with just the traces of mischief. Her earthen gaze considering her mate with the care of an artist in the midst of a masterpiece. She gave her tail a curl and allowed it to bat the ground every now and again, the movement announced by soft thumps and the swift brushing of fur against fur as she touched him. She gave a little jump and a growl, clinging to him as she felt her backside pinched, wrinkling her nose and licking her lips in a sultry manner. "Bold aren't we?" A smirk swiftly followed this remark and her claws slid gently across his back, working through the fur and teasing the muscles as they went along.

Rinko had learned so many new things since they'd been apart, but she wasn't the type to let everything hang out. No, she preferred to leave others in suspense and allow herself a little mystery, this tactic worked well. She slid back, her paws sliding up and over her mate's shoulder blades as she slipped from beneath him and let a paw run across one side of his face softly. "I'm hungry." She purred, cocking a brow and using every muscle she had the right way, giving her a sensual air as she stood upright. Her back to him, she slid her gaze to one side and glanced him over one shoulder. "I'd love a little reminding, but right now.. well, I just haven't the stamina to keep up with that wild energy of yours." Turning around she leaned over, her paws on her knees as she cocked her head, examining him with a sexy gaze. Oh, she wanted him quite badly but she wanted to wait. A little food and she'd be ready to show him some love.

Aullana nodded and slid her arm into that of her mates, she was definitely ready for a bath. Especially after all that dirt. She retrieved the bottle from Chath and took another sip, offering it up to her mate in the off-chance he felt a little parched from the ordeal. She leaned into his shoulder and gave a yawn, huh, she was feeling a trifle sleepy come to think of it. She'd be more than able to hold off until later on, after she'd gotten Chath settled and introduced. The baby would be wide awake after a short nap.

The wind picked up slightly, causing the trees to wave their branches lazily at the passer-bys below, birds took flight and scattered out across the clearing. Aullana marveled at how the sunlight left dappled patterns upon her pelt, the colors were mezmerising. Chath's breathing and heart-rate had slowed to a healthy norm which allowed Aullana a little relief, at least she'd calmed down.

As he listed of his possessions she grew guarded by the mention of herself and her hostility rose gradually, yet she remained quiet, the time would come when this would be corrected. Her thoughts flitted from one subject to the next, listening and understanding but offering no council to his plight. Instead she was slowly understanding this beast who had bested her and she found herself neutral. She understood his anger, his frustration because she too had a chip on her shoulder, whether she allowed it to show itself or not, but she found his personality and ego clashed to harshly with her own and she would only be willing to spend time with him in short bursts if at all. The Trickster knew herself well enough to know this.

Her mismatched in hue body refrained from movement as he approached and she looked up into his face with an almost cold or unfeeling air. As if she were miles away or made of stone. A smirk finally roused itself upon her lips and she sniffed indignantly. His request was both impossible and illogical for many reasons she deigned not worthwhile to share. “I will speak to no Deity.” Came her reply, her eyes now focused on the hidden features of the enigmatic male. Figuring where his eyes would be she was unafraid to boldly lock gazes before she mustered up the strength and slipped away from him, rising to her paws and padding towards the cave entrance. She would not leave just yet, she merely needed to feel the fresh air from the shelter of the stone. Remind herself there was life beyond the stale companionship of rock and earth.

Lithium had been watching him so carefully that her frame nearly sank with relief as he spoke, her smile returning mildly. ‘I appreciate your suggestion but this is a matter far too.. sensitive and I wish not to burden them with it’s undertaking. I will return as soon as I can. If you are not here I will search for you..’ She kissed him softly on the cheek, taking his paws in her own and pressing her lips to them gently, closing her eyes as she did so, the framing of her long eyelashes as they dusted her cheeks both beautiful and unreal before her luminous orbs raised to meet his.

She slipped from him slowly, unwillingly, like a thread of silk upon the breeze as her wings flickered and flared and dust danced downwards sending the plant life into a frenzy of excitement and growth. With a final glance down she smiled ‘Farewell Mercutio.’ Her mind whispered softly as she lifted into the air and out of sight, the trail of dust finally vanishing as the breeze carried it fondly away.

Illidan could feel the air, it was tense with clashing powers, neither wished to yield to the other though one was in a far lesser state to argue such points at this time. Though even in her state she would chip away at Illidan's pride.

"Speak or not God-Child, it will make little difference in the end." He would have glared had he had true eyes to do so, but only hallow sockets with glowing green flames would return her stare from behind his blind. He raised up letting her pass following silently, he debated striking her down, to see that she not flee, but it would not be a problem, she was still wounded far as he could tell. "You will not be leaving for a while God-Child, rest before you do something stupid."

Words and thoughts could not form, they simply floated aimlessly in his mind as his heart swelled with joy. Though his suggestion was moot, her care was still strong. With just as much dispaire at departure their kisses breaking as she parted he could only smile and nod.

"I will wait till the ends of time..." And as she left he slowly lay himself down in the grass, watching as she departed, the grass was soft, the wind sang joyful songs around him, and followers flourished all about him as he dreamed of the life he would have.

Teti could feel his eyes on her, his presence behind her but she did not tense, in fact, she remained unmoving completely. The wind was starting to pick up, a storm but not one that would bring rain to the forest, simply strong gusts. Thank Gaia, she wasn't ready for rain right now. Her mis-matched eyes locked on the forest before she closed her eyes and felt the breeze take hold of her luxuriously long hair, whipping it back and into a cascade of rich obsidian color. She was so stoney, so silent that she appeared unreal and unfeeling which was partially true. The Trickster really cared for no-one deep down, maybe her brother but only because he cared about her and because they'd grown up together.

She would not run, nor would she escape. When the time was right she'd walk out freely, or fight her way out, whatever came about. "I am far from an imbecile, yet do not presume I will follow your lead due to fear of violence. I will stay for I have no choice, but I warn you now. Watch yourself and I shall provide you no troubles." Her gaze slid open slowly, her eyes distant as they clung to the mountains, her spiked tail rose steadily and swayed behind her once, twice, three times before relaxing back to join her mortal tail. It wasn't a threat, merely a subtle reminder that she wasn't just any Kat. "Tell me. What is your aim here in Faetasia, are you simply to wander, absorbed by rage and bitterness? Or will you rise and make a new life here?" Her tone was cold, uncaring but she was tired of silence for the time being. It wasn't that she was shy or prudish, she simply spoke only when she had something valid to contibute. Idle chatter was useless to her.
PostPosted: Mon Aug 18, 2008 7:11 pm

Quietly Illidan continued to stand behind her, sensing the same winds, feeling them tug at his blindfold, his leathery wings, and flowing hair. Cold and still she seemed almost dead in a way, a cold shell or a statue simply standing at the entrance to his cave.

"No you are far from a fool, and for that I do show a measure of respect." He continued to stand behind her eying the spiked tail weary of what it could do, but slowly it would relax with her other tail, no attempt to threaten him, simply a warning that someday she would be able to make such threats and hold word.

"Two fold, power to rule, and power to return home, either will do." Quietly he moved closer to her whispering silently. "But to gain either I need an army, generals, troops, weapons, the power to overthrow others in my path." He stepped back slowly letting the suggestion linger, perhaps she could be useful if she allowed it, she would have a long leash and power to wield as she wished but at the end she would hopefully and willingly answer to him.

Teti felt his presence like a shadow, looming on the fringes of her conciousness. His voice was close and the heat from his body made her defensive. His tone, the way he spoke of power reminded her of something, what was it? She contemplated carefully. Power was a seductive draw for most, but Teti, she was swayed by nothing. Then it came to her like a flash of white, hot terror. Her father. His longing, his romance with power was as that of her father when he himself had been overthrown and cursed. She rounded on the male, her eyes dangerous slits yet she stood her ground, unafraid. "Your hunger for what you cannot have will be the end of you." She growled, her voice dangerously close to a feral hiss.

The wind grew ill and cold, harsh as she stared boldly into his enigmatic face. "I sense your strength and your weakness, be very careful for you are near to tipping the scales in an unfavorable manner." Her shoulder roughly brushed him as she made her way to the fire, wrapping all four arms about her body and staring deeply into it's pulsing body. She wanted out now, she hated her father and the connection nearly drove her mad. Perhaps this was why she'd attacked him. Some instinctual rage that recognized the similarity of soul and went on the defense. She was surprised that a male of his caliber had yet to strike or depart from her. Perhaps she had struck a chord and he wanted more of her than companionship. He would get nothing from her.
