Your dragon dives for a strand of thread that has fallen through the upper wings. Right before they belch forth their flame, they suddenly jerk hard to the right, almost in a roll, and quite unexpectedly. Sure enough, a gust of wind would have whipped the thread back in their face! Instead, the strand whips by, and your dragon is able to successfully flame it. [+1 Instinct]
Houleth managed to push himself after a strange of Thread - but it was I'han who suddenly pulled them back to miss being hit by it when the wind changed. Either way, Houleth took some satisfaction in flaming down the clump.
Ha!

They were still not going to be drawn in by that trick of wind, chasing a length of Thread down only to have it flung back at them again. A burp of flame took care of that nuisance and they were on to the next.

They'd dropped back to lower altitudes, and G'ran patted Elzebuth's shoulder, proud of how they were doing so far. Yeah, they'd had a close call... and things were only going to get rougher from here. The sun was starting to set, and he was trying not to squint as the light flared directly into his eyes.
Your dragon flames a small strand of thread, but unfortunately, a gust of wind blows the ash back into you. Your dragon hisses in pain, and if your face isn't protected, you might get a burn yourself! Thankfully, the burn isn't severe, and your dragon at least can carry on. [+1 Pain Resilience // -2 HP]
Elzebuth spat out flame to incinerate a strand of Thread--and hissed loudly as the wind blew the hot ash right back on him. It was irritating, but not anything he couldn't power through.
You appear from Between only to find yourself in the perfect spot to catch a sliver of Thread. You successfully flame it down easily. [+1 Target Accuracy]
After appearing from Between, they spotted Thread falling down from above. Elzebuth quickly set out a streak of flame--and burned it to a crisp. Perfectly done!

And another! G'ran urged Elzebuth forward, and the big brown easily flamed the sliver. The pair was feeling pretty good about themselves!

A strong gust of wind suddenly pushes you off course and right into a sliver of Thread! If you're a bronze or brown, you or your dragon take a scathing hit, unable to get out of the way. [Minor Damage -3 HP]
The wind was relentless, and as it shoved hard into Elzebuth, he let out a roar of pain. Thread had bit into his side, and G'ran directed them Between. It would certainly leave a nice score, but he was able and willing to keep fighting.

Skerath flamed down a bit of Thread that managed to slip from the higher altitudes--and snarled when the ash was blown back upon her. She banked hard to save Iathe from getting burned, and she could only offer the dragon her gratitude.
Your dragon is starting to feel tired. This particular fight is wearing them down. A strong gust of winds tries to throw them out of their position. Roll a D4 to see what happens!
3. Your dragon is blown out of formation. They struggle and flap against the wind, and only are able to recover when the wind dies down, feeling more exhausted than before. Worse, you think they may have pulled a muscles in their wing arm! Best watch it. [Light Damage -1 HP ]
As brilliantly quick as Skerath was, her stamina could not rival those of larger dragons. She was beginning to grow a little tired, though she would never admit it--and a particularly fierce gust of wind was enough to push her right out of formation. Skerath fought wildly, incensed--but it was only when the wind relented that she was able to get back into position. Iathe could feel the pain of her dragon's wing throbbing, and she would have to make certain that Skerath didn't strain that wing too hard.
By Faranth! You and your dragon pull off a pretty awesome move to catch some Thread that's fallen through. You're able to save one of your Wingmates! Quote one of your Wingmates who took damage this Round! This will remove damage and any possible negative effect from that roll!
Skerath's anger was white-hot, but that also meant she was extremely motivated to burn some Thread. If she could have made it bleed, she would have. Bleeding and screaming. As if answering her prayers, she spotted a clump headed right towards one of her tinier brothers. Skerath said nothing as she swooped, flaming hard and searing the clump to little more than harmless ash. She said nothing to Reminiscorth, but that was probably for the best. She was hardly in the best of moods.

The wind flared up again, pushing them directly into the path of Thread! Skerath made a guttural noise of rage, refusing to be bested again. She twisted sharply, writhing out of the way before she spat flame and burned the Enemy to a crisp.

Ouch! Feeding your dragon some firestone has resulted in them biting their tongue! This is going to distract your dragon for the next three rolls. Their flaming aim will go down, and they might be slower to dodge out of Thread's way. [Tongue Bitten Effect! Your dragon is distracted by pain. No XP will be earned for the next 3 rolls. Any successes will be nullified. Should you roll a prompt with the possibility of damage, take the max damage allotted for your size/color automatically but it will also end the Tongue Bitten Effect immediately.]
Skerath bit down aggressively on a mouthful of firestone, her temper still blazing--and jolted with pain when she bit down on her own tongue. If it wasn't for Iathe immediately reining her in, the green likely would have shrieked with frustration.

It was a shame, Z'rai thought, in a moment of hazy peace between flaming, while he fed Kaloth more of the stone he needed to go on, that Fall never happened on a clear, starry night. Maybe that wasn't the thought at all. It was just that he would have preferred flying when the winds were pain-free and the view was uninterrupted. That would have been perfect.

They had been fighting for some time, but Kindeth had persevered. Though he was grieved and shaken by the loss of Lireloth--and then the falling of some of his other comrades--the bronze wasn't quite clever enough to know how to process it all and focus at the same time. He had mourned, and worried--but also had to focus, less he become the next to fall.
Unfortunately, a particularly strong gust caught the bronze by surprise, and he found himself blown right out of formation. Giving a honk of surprise, the simple bronze struggled to fight through it... and though he persevered, S'del could feel a new sensation--a small twinge.
It wasn't enough to be worried about, but it could get worse.
