Petalpaw was trotting off with his mentor slightly, following after the Forestclan warriors when he heard his and Timberfalls names spoken. He turned his head, seeing Brightstar calling to them. He turned and without hesitation headed for her. He may be Forestclan but that was his leader. "Yes, Brightstar?" He whispered when she repeated his name. He listened intently as she spoke and his eyes slowly began to widen. He glanced from Timberfall back to the she cat before him, trying to comprehend what exactly was happening. When it finally sank in, he nearly exploded with Glee, struggling to contain himself. "I do!" He exclaimed instantly. He'd follow the code with all of his heart until the day he died. He was purring quietly under his breath. Petalnose. He loved the name. It suited him he thought. He allowed the leader to touch his head and stood there for a moment before turning to face his mentor. He practically bounced with pure excitement.

ForestClanThe kit's father was Stonebelly? Wildstripe wracked his memory to match the name with a face. With some relief, the ceasefire was called shortly after. At least he wouldn't have to worry about warriors accidentally OR on purpose trying to harm the kit currently in his care. Hopefully.
But, what was said...RockClan was in shambles. And Direstar's ultimatum... It was all too much to take in at once. RockClan scattered, a new clan, new leadership, dictated by ForestClan...what did this all mean when they awoke? Lightning and Rock, Star and Forest...the lines were no longer clear, merging and crossing and what would come of this when they left this realm?
Too much to consider right now. Focus on small goals. Keep the kit safe, find her parents. Deal with your own confusion afterwards, Wildstripe.
As if the spirits were laughing at him directly, the tom heard a voice calling his name over the turmoil and confusion. "Cindergaze?" he answered, turning to face the she cat. "Heh....yeah, still here...thanks to you," he said quietly, glancing down. The tension hung in the air between them. Words he felt they both wanted to say....and yet did not. Instead, she turned to go with a simple wish to rest well and--
"Wait, what? No, she's not--" but too late, Cinder was gone. He glanced back to the kit in time to see her moving away from him and back towards the crowd of milling cats. Ahead, Direstar seemed to radiate an imposing aura despite his size. This was no time to be bothering him...and besides, Wildstripe feared he would have his hide if anything happened to the kit.
He looped his tail around Lostkit before she could wander too far. "Ah ah, little one. Wait a moment. Direstar is busy right now, but we'll all head back together into the forest in a bit, I promise. Just stick with me for now; I promised we would look for your parents."
Keeping a close eye on the kit, or at least keeping contact with his tail, he started scanning the crowd for any sign of her parents while falling in line with the retreating ForestClan group. That's when Brightstar's voice sounded over the crowd, bringing Wildstripe to a full stop to listen to she said. A warmth spread through his chest, pride in his leader, hope that maybe there would be a way out of this...but would it all work out?
Only time would tell.
For the moment, he soaked in the surely-once-in-a-lifetime chance to witness a Warrior ceremony here in the lands of Starclan.

Shadowsong stood still and proud, watching all the cats runite with loved ones and gave difference when Brightstar spoke. Stepping forward, she called out to the other leader. "No matter who is chosen to lead, Brightstar know that I feel the same. Those with different beliefs are not enemies. Though I return to Rockclan, I do not do so rejecting you or Lighting. Any who follow you, are still treasured friends and clanmates." The Leader and those foolish enough to believe in the Starclan are friends not enemies. Even apart, she respected the Leader. Taking in her clan when they needed it, allowing them to stay well beyond when they should. If a fight for Leadership was needed, the time to step up might be upon her. caffeinecraving Shadowsong addressing Brightstar
The story of her River brought to mind its own possibly. Maybe she should ask Flamedapple to watch the kits and go fishing herself? Now there would be a scandal to bring back!
Oh, continue the story? Well, she was happy to do so. "One day, in our ancestor's time, the fish stopped appearing. Even the best hunter couldn't pull a single fish. Then the river slowed and stopped!" For a bit of added drama, she tensed her body up and raised her back half up just a bit in a play pouncing pose as she said it stopped!
Rockclan born kits probably would gasp in horror, but her great moment was probably lost on the kits. Thats fine, she'd fix that. "One brave cat, Stormkit, could smell the water and knew where it was hidden. With the help of four warriors, the kit lead them to where the river had been captured! Big, furry creatures with big, big teeth collected fallen trees and caged the river!" She raised her front left paw as high as she could from her potion to make note of the size of the beasts of legend.
Settling back down she asked, "How would the Warriors fight such creatures who were powerful enough to cage the river? Well, Stromkit had and idea. He had seen how a stick got caught in the river and moving it started the water again. So, he whispered to the Warriors," Her own tone lowered but was not a true whisper, everyone still had to hear, "Take a few sticks from the cage, free the river and it will fight for us!" Back to normal tone, she finished, "The Warriors were ready to fight and possibly get hurt for their clan. They did listen to the kit and realized Stormkit had a good idea. So they attacked the cage. A few good pushes" Once again the storyteller put a little action, nudging each of her kits as she said push, "And the river started flowing again. After a little bit of water, more of it gained strength and burst free! The beast were vanquished by the River they caged and the fish returned!" Clever kit paying attention to the things they saw. Clever warriors using brains over brawn so no one was hurt.
Oh this was her favorite story as a kit herself. "Stormkit grew into Stormstar and lead the Rockclan well." With her story done, each kit got another nuzzle then she looked up to the elder to see of what he thought.

Direstar kept an eye on Shatteredstar,but seemed to also watch the exchange between Brightstar and the apprentice before he would make his move to leave. That apprentice had fought for the Forestclan code this day least to Direstar that's what he had seen. He agreed with Brightstar's choice to hold the warrior ceremony the apprentice deserved it. "Petalnose!!! Petalnose!!! Petalnose!!!" Direstar started a chant among the Forestclanners and anyone else who saw fit to join in after all they did not have time at the moment to go an speak to the new warrior personally to greet him with his name so a chant would have to do. It seems Direstar took notice of Wildstripe and Lostkit, lingered longer then he had planned to as his warriors started to head for the forest. "Are you coming or staying to look for the parent." Direstar seemed hesitant to leave he wanted to know they were both be safe. He looked to Shatteredstar though and seemed to decide rather they followed or not they would be safe for now. "Be safe and grow strong Lostkit, Forestclan will be watching...I'll be watching." With that Direstar finally took off before he and Shatteredstar felt the need to come to fighting again.

Rosekit looked around as the fighting ended, ignoring every other cat as she tried to locate her mother. "Mama?" She asked, she wanted to at least see her one more time! She'd already seen her father, who walked over to her when the fighting stopped.

The sun rose and covered the ground warming each and every cat. When they stirred they would feel like they had not just spent last night in another realm. They would not feel tired as one might think after experiencing such stress and even battle. On the other hand those who were wounded would find they were indeed still wounded despite feeling like they never fought. And those who were killed were found dead when other cats went to check on them. They lay there peaceful as though they had just slipped away during the night. Indeed Jaggedstar was gone and so was the brave Hollowstep. A new leader was indeed needed it was time to decide. Brightstar called the clans, clan.... clans... together, nodding to Thistlethrush as she walked to her place. "I cant be the only one who dreamed the three cats found dead this morning would die?" She looked over the faces of the clan andsaw a few nod in agreement. "We will mourn the loss of the three souls that went to rest with starclan." She frowned. "I am proud of each and everyone of you, for standing up for what you believe is right, but now we need to discuss the outcome." She looked to the faces she remembered were on Forestclan, although she was afraid she would have missed some. "Firstly, Petalnose is no less a warrior here than he was last night in starclan, He will-" She hesitated and looked to the new warrior. "He will sit vigil tonight, if he stays in lightningclan, if not i encourage him to go with you and be treated as the warrior he is." She lashed her tail. "Now who will be the leader? We will put it up to a vote, because while i know who i would pick i dont want my opinion as a potential rival clan leader to sway who you would follow." She nodded. "Every cat should be heard and while i dont want to lose a single one of you, they should be given the option to go." Which meant depending on the cat and if they left or not there could end up with some starclan cats in the group. As long as they didnt lead the group direstar should leave them alone. "So as a gathering, lets discuss." That being said... what happened once they left, would be another story. Sunshadow heard her daughter's cry and, while she was starting to feel a bit transparent as her earthly body began to wake up, she held Rosekit for the last time, at least until she joined Starclan. "Rosekit, i want you to remember i love you so very much, i wanted to raise you and your siblings into strong warriors" she sobbed and held on as long as she could. "I will see you again my love, be brave and be good my sweet, darling baby"

For all that she was tired of both Direstar and Shatteredstar right now, it was thanks only to their lull that Needlewhisker could hear her daughter's voice ring loud and clear. Heedless to any other cat, the mother wound her way through fur and cry to get to her side. "Pineripple," Needle murmured, rare emotion suffusing her breathless gasp. She couldn't remember the last time she had been so relieved to see another cat. Purring, Needle buried her nose between the warrior's ears. "Thank all the ancestors that you're alright."
Her embrace would persist a few moments more before she pulled back, remaining close to her daughter, but looking her over with a critical eye. "You weren't beaten up too badly, were you? Sustain any critical injuries?" She was certain that they could find Brightstar to patch them up, if need be...
...or perhaps not. Needle's brow raised a bit at the choice to have a warrior ceremony here, of all places - of all times! But, she supposed she could see the novelty in it. What other warrior would be able to say that the ancestors literally called their name?

((Reaction/catch up post because I'm slow sweatdrop )) As Pineripple spoke, Cedarfang stopped scanning their nearby surroundings for danger but instead looked for the she-cat's mother. Of course he was going to help her, but before he could verbally reply, a ceasefire had been called. Though most of his attention was focused on Shatteredstar and Brightstar, he remained by Pineripple's side until Needlewhisker found them.
Cedarfang was not thrilled about the ceremony given the circumstances. Three cat's would not wake from this dream because of Forestclan and yet they were honoring a member of such clan with a warrior ceremony. No, Cedarfang was no pleased but he stayed quite and respectful through it all. Though he internally judged all of the Lighteningclan cat's who had fought for Forestclan, he would not harm them and would try his best to be civil with them unless provoked.belloblossom Cedarfur stayed with Pineripple but didn't do much
