Saiko walked into the dojo. He was told to find the others to protect the village but, first he wanted to train and become stronger. It was an important task as he was falling behind on his trainings. How could he protect the village if he wasn’t strong enough? The man never felt strong enough even with his accomplishments. It was never enough. People were still dying because he was incapable of protecting them. The man sighed softly as the thoughts raced through his mind, somewhat still irritated that he wasn’t allowed to bring the Suna shinobi here to help. How could the Uzukage not see what use they would be for the village? Perhaps he didn’t show that enough or express that combining the two armies would be an asset to the village. Now he supposed that the Uzukage was questioning his loyalty to the village when his loyalty was with Uzushiogakure and Uzushiogakure alone. Why else would he turn down the Kazekage position? Besides that he felt he wasn’t strong enough or even good enough to be their leader. The man attempted to push away the thoughts as he entered his training, starting with his implant.

(Using 16 free training posts to train Jyuken to Stage 4)

Once the man was finished with his Byakugan training, he hid his eye again so that others wouldn’t be able to see it. Saiko then went onto training the whirlwind taijutsu that he hadn’t completely mastered yet. As the man went to train, his mind went back to Zhi and the day that she trained him in this taijutsu. He hoped that she and Masato were doing alright on their mission. Even more reason to train harder. This pushed him through the advanced combo and the whirlwind buffer techniques. Now he had mastered it, just like Zhi.
(Learned Stage 6 of Jiyūgata Senpū)

With the whirlwind training finished, Saiko could move onto a bukijutsu style that he wanted to learn to help him with being part of the Vortex. It required the use of smoke pellets to provide cover and was more of a stealth option which was something Saiko wasn’t necessarily the best at. The man pulled out a scroll of it and immediately started working on it. As a shinobi with a lot of experience he found it somewhat easier to learn, not as easy as a bukijutsu master but, still relatively easy. The man burned through the first two stages with just a bit of practice.

(Learned stage 1&2 of Juurai Toorima)

The third stage is where thing began to become more complicated for the man. Particularly because he had to get used to being in smoke for the bukijutsu to be the most effective. If he couldn’t see in his own smoke, how would he possibly operate? The man pushed through, tempted to use his Byakugan to see through the smoke. However, he knew this was cheating and he couldn’t always rely on this. The man then went on to train with wire, potentially to capture people. The last technique had the most interest to him as it was a gliding technique he didn’t necessarily need but, could use if it came down to the wire as he did spend a lot of time in the sky. With that technique completed, he had mastered the third stage.

(Learned Stage 3 of Juurai Toorima)

Use of Poisonous bombs was the first technique listed. The man had medical knowledge and it just seemed to be lacing regular smoke bombs with a hazardous material. Saiko got the hang of this pretty fast and moved along to the rest of the stage. Starting with a technique to distract and close distance, something he picked up quickly because of his training in other styles. A smoke clone was practically what the third technique was. It used a normal clone and caused any clone of his to explode into a cloud of smoke to cover for him. It would be useful indeed. However, the last technique was the one Saiko knew he would need the most, a camouflage technique that even hid him from sensors. Something that would be useful as an Assassin.

(Learned Stage 4 of Juurai Toorima)

With the fourth stage completed, Saiko was able to move onto the fifth stage. It only had a couple of techniques so Saiko was able to push past it pretty quickly. The one technique from it that seemed the best for him personally as it made it seem like he was harder to hit. However, it used after-images which was something he hadn’t used before. The man knew there was a taijutsu style of it and wondered if that would be useful for him. However, for now he focused on this training. He quickly pushed through the last technique in stage six. Once he had completed this, he found that he had become a lot quieter when he walked which he supposed was something trained during the entire time but, he didn’t notice.
(Learned Stage 5&6 of Juurai Toorima --- Supreme increase to Reflex)

Once the man was finished with the Juurai Toorima style, the man moved onto a taijutsu style. It was
the afterimage style that he had learned about via the last style he learned. However, taijutsu was much more easier for him to learn. So the man picked up a scroll and immediately began studying the various techniques in the scroll. The first few stages flew by as he practiced and mastered them. Saiko was able to finish four of the stages in the matter of a very short amount of time. The man smiled a bit, his mind finally beginning to clear from all of the training.

              (Learned Stage 1-4 of Kyouzou)

Once those stages were completed, the man moved onto mastery of the style. It was rather quick as there was very few techniques in each of the stages. Each of them had a good use regardless and the man paid extra attention to each one, making sure that he was capable of reproducing them in combat if he needed to. Which one day he was sure he would need to. Combat was all he knew. Ever since Suna.

              (Mastered Kyouzou: Supreme Speed increase)

Once the man was finished with his training, he decided it was best for him to head back to his apartment and rest up for a bit as he needed to rest. The man didn’t have a moment to breath ever since he had left the Suna nin days ago. He needed the sleep if they were going to be attacked by a large force of shinobi. Before he left however, he looked around to see if there were any shinobi around that he should tell about the Uzukage's orders. With no one insight, even with his Byakugan active, he decided to leave.

==Kasumi Enters==

A little blue eyed boy started walking up to the dojo. He had time on his walk to calm his nerves after the toast incident in the Academy. I hope I never have to deal with that guy again. As he walked up, he saw a student walking out of the dojo with a piece of toast he was about to take a large bite out of. Kasumi flashed back to an image of the buttered toast adhered to his face, and now back to reality, still having butter remnants on his face. ...Toast

Kasumi shouted out after wiping his face, "HEY YOU! Throw that at me!" The other student looked at him puzzled, looking at Kasumi, looking at his toast, and then looking back at Kasumi. "You want me... to what?" Kasumi clenched his fist in arrogance at the misunderstanding. "I said, throw that piece of toast at me! Can't you hear?" The student was even more confused. This weird little boy asking to throw his snack at him with such confidence. The student felt even a little pity at the boy, thinking that the boy has gone off the bandwagon due to so much training at the Academy. The little boys facial expression was serious, and ready to fight.

The academy student shuriken threw the piece of toast, which was half the speed of what the jerk at the academy threw it at Kasumi. The little boy parried his body away from the flung toast where it flopped on the ground with nimbleness. After this, Kasumi ran to the unsuspecting dojo partner and ran to throw a punch at the boy. The academy student dodged and shouted, "The hell is wrong with this kid?! Get away..." Before the student could say anymore disdain for the situation, Kasumi threw another punch, hitting the student on his cheek and knocking him to the ground. "YES! No toast thrower is a match for Kasumi!"

The student knocked on the floor rolled from the ground and B-lined to get away from the psychotic young Academy student. He panted, running away from the dojo with fear driven velocity. Kasumi shouted out, "WAIT, we aren't done here! Come back coward and help me train to beat toast boy!" Kasumi grabbed the nearest thing he could find, which was a rake resting near a bundle of leaves. The little Kasumi was in hot pursuit for a few minutes chasing after the helpless dojo student. He was not match for Kasumi quick little feet. WHAM! The rake made a loud bristle noise against the back of the head of the student, knocking the student again down to the ground and also out. Kasumi looked down smiling down at the unconscious boy on the ground and laughed immaturely, "I got you!! Who's the bread winner now?". The little boy enjoyed his moment of showing his strength as a student after reading all those long and boring books in the Academy. Dojo students peaked out as this odd series of events played, and Kasumi realized he was garnering unwanted attention. He threw the rake back onto the grass and whistled his away out of dodge from being in trouble.

Tenrai walked into the dojo and went to find an empty room with a free instructor who could help him in his studies. Upon finding one he would introduce himself and begin his studies. He was informed that there were nine categories of formless, and that he would begin with the Soft Physical. After receiving his instructions he would take a defensive stance and await the instructors offensive advance. The instructor obviously was holding back, but not too much that it wouldn't be considered training. It took Tenrai a little bit, but he managed to get used to the instructors attacks and slowly progressed from taking the hits to being able to parry them. [SPF-E Learned]

Upon being given his stamp of approval, Tenrai was advanced to the next course, Hard Physical. This time around, instead of trying to parry the blows, he would work on blocking them and then returning fire with his own. Tenrai assumed his more refined defensive stance and once more would await the instructor's attacks. Before, he would focus on slapping the blows away or misdirect them with slight movements, but now he was trying his best to take the hits, in a safe way of course. He would always try to block with the most sturdy parts of his body and once he got accustomed to doing so he would work on returning with his own palm strikes and jabs. [HPF-E Learned]

That went on for some time but eventually he received his second stamp of approval. The next step on this multi-fitness crusade was to work on his Soft Mental skills, and this meant he would have to put his brain to work. After being explained the basic concepts of what this type of formless style was, Tenrai would take a kneel at the center of the room and begin to rack his brain on what he could do better based on his experience so far and what he was shown. It took a little while but eventually he felt he was ready and challenged his instructor. His movements were a bit sharper and cleaner, but as an E-rank there was much to be improved upon, but still it was something and thus he got his stamp. [SMF-E Learned]

Following Soft Mental was Hard Mental. Hard Mental was more focused on observing your opponent to be able to utilize their weaponry against them, compared to Soft Mental's self reflection. Once more he would return to the center of the room and start running scenarios through his head. His instructor wasn't nice enough to give him a physical presentation so sticking true to what he was being taught, it was image training at it's finest to say the least. Once he felt that he had truly encompassed his instructor's methods he would challenge him and try his best to mimic what was shown before. Once again there was slight improvement, but you can never fully achieve what is beyond your own boundaries. Nonetheless, he achieved yet another stamp. [HMF-E Learned]

What lied ahead for Tenrai was the remaining of the formless styles that used weapons instead of his body alone. First up was Projectile Weapons. He was introduced to a wall of assorted projectile weapons that he could be taught at this current time and he almost immediately made his choice. After picking up his weapons he was guided over to a training dummy and taught the basics of how to use them as well as shown the beginner form for throwing them. Tenrai would take his senbon in hand and give it a hearty toss, the sharp metal needle of death sticking into the side of the straw dummy, barely a hit. The instructor would help him make some adjustments and a few more pointers before having him try again. This process would repeat until he could hit the general area he was instructed to.[PW-Senbon E Learned]

Having grasped the basics of that formless style, he was told to return the weapons and walk over to the next rack over. Here he was to pick a small weapon and return to the training dummy. Tenrai would take the wakizashi that was sitting off to the side and head over to the wooden dummy this time instead of the straw one. Just like before he was given the beginners crash course on how to use and wield his selected weapon. Taking a firm grip on the handle of the small blade he would practice his slashes and stabs. Once he had conquered the basics of that, he was taught how to use the weapon in a reverse grip fashion. This went smoother than the first because the small weapon seemed to feel more at ease being held in such a way to him.[SW-Wakizashi E Learned]

Just like before, Tenrai would return the weapon and be lead over to another rack of weaponry. This display seemed to contain medium sized tools of death. Just like before, he would pick the traditional weapon from the rack and follow the teacher over to the training dummy. Similar if not exactly the same as the two times before, he was given the run down and traditional stance for his weapon of choice and allowed free reign to practice. Using this opportunity Tenrai would assume form and practice his overhead swings in a rhythmic fashion. This was followed by piercing attacks and horizontal slashes. It seemed he was a bit of a natural at this weapon as the instructor had very little to comment on after teaching his the basic stance.[MW-Katana E Learned]

Tenrai placed the katana he used for his training back on the display and headed over to the large weapon display. The choices this time weren't all that appealing so he simply picked what looked the easiest to use. This just happened to be the long spear. Instinctively he would head over to the dummies and await his instructions. Just like every other time he was taught the basic stance and attacking patterns with the weapon and shown how to use it. Tenrai would take a slouched stance with a wide grip on the weapon and work on his full body thrusting techniques for now. Of course it's not needed to say but he was sloppy at first, but with the pointers and help from the instructor, he managed to get a firm grasp on the basics and mold himself into your average spear user.[LW-Long Spear E Learned]

After returning the spear Tenrai walked over to where he expected the next weapon rack to be based on previous experience but to his surprise there wasn't one, but instead a table and two chairs. When he asked as to how he was suppose to learn the last of the weapon styles without a weapon he received a laugh and was explained to that the final formless style was strange weapons. He was given a broad example, such as using the table the plow through someone, or the chairs to smash the head in, but sadly this didn't appeal to him. Seeing his distaste in the choices, the instructor leaned in and asked if he would like to learn of an ancient art that was almost all but forgotten to which Tenrai readily agreed to. After being pulled in close he was told the premise of the so-called weapon and how to use it which brought a smile to his face. This was just his kind of weapon. With his weapon now in hand, and his pocket, he spent the next little while working on his speed of delivery and subtly of delivery of his now most precious guarded secret.[SW-Pocket Sand E Learned]

Tenrai made sure to get his remaining stamps of approval before thanking his instructor once more and leaving, heading back to Iruka-sensei. [exit]

Coda hadn't really thought much about about expanding her fighting style, but, frankly, she had to admit she was intrigued at the first impressions of the old leaf style Taijutsu. She'd come to the dojo to dip a toe in the idea of adding martial techniques to her arsenal, and it was safe to say she'd found a good candidate. Dynamic Entry, Dynamic Action, and Tackle Charge all focused on lots of movement, and the range would be useful when paired with her Yozen no Soutou abilities. Plus her Yoton could make it tough to stay in contact range with her. Quite the nice synergy.
[ Dynamic Entry, Dynamic Action, Tackle Charge ]

The next set of techniques seemed more like follow up attacks, finishers. Pressure Palm required the other fighter to be on the ground first. It seemed like it'd be a hell of a hit, but relatively niche. Peregrine Falcon Drop was certainly as flashy as you could hope for, and likely just as devastation, but would require work to get off. Crushing fist was the lone technique that would seem to set something else up, what with all of the movement in the rest of the style. Plus, even though Coda would value keeping enemies close, there was always value in the ability to create separation.
[ Pressure Palm, Peregrine Falcon Drop, Crushing Fist ]

The young woman moved on and immediately found one of the moves that would string combos into the finisher. Leag Shadow Dance was tricky on multiple levels, but something about the inherent stakes of taijutsu seemed thrilling to Coda. She moved from the deceptive, to the outright high-flying. More than just exciting, this particular brand of fighting was beginning to grow on her. There was something raw about it that was undeniably appealing.
[ Leaf Shadow Dance, Leaf Spinning Wind, Leaf Great Whirlwind ]

The next set of techniques were all about driving home the damage. It'd been a while since Coda worked up a sweat that wasn't directly the result of her Yoton. The focus on kicks, and particularly leaping kicks, was taking some getting used to. It was easy to get into a scrap and just throw a few fists around, grab and pull and poke. This required precision she wasn't used to, and control that was entirely foreign.
[ Leaf Violent Wind, Knee Strike, Painful Sky Leg ]

Two more sets of techniques in her first session and the woman had to admit she was starting to feel it. And gain a new respect for the amount of work that Taijutsu specialists put in. She also got an interesting wrinkle in the style though, clones. Of course, she'd already locked down the Shadow Clone technique, so that would be useful. Plus, she could work her Yoton into it. A nicely versatile set of skills to add to her arsenal.
[ Clone Spinning Heel Drop, Clone Body Blow, Leaf Herculean Whirlwind ]

One last set, starting with a big combo. The work was starting to round out her abilities with practice. The techniques gave her threat and flexibility, which could never be overrated. What was more, she could feel herself physically catching up. It was certainly hard, harder than the effortless way in which she performed her clan techniques, but it was worth it. It felt rewarding in a way that being mindlessly good at something didn't. There was a serenity in the grind, in the work, that she could appreciate.
[ Lion Combo, Rising Impact Palm, Leaf Thunder Fist ]

Done with running missions for now, Coda returned to training with a focus on physical skills. Oukashou was a technique that would boost her strength to high levels, a nifty trick to have in her back pocket. Tsuuten Kyaku was a bit more unconventional in its application, but it would still be devastating if applied right. The final technique on her list from Konohagakure no Taijutsu was a grappling technique that seemed a bit out of place on a scroll of that combat style, but would be useful when paired with her next chosen style.
[ Oukashou, Tsuuten Kyaku, To Break and Snap ]

Coda had been attracted to the grappling Olympia style as a way to level the playing field between her and a truly gifted taijutsu user. The first was a low stance, meant to be used when looking for an opportunity to get a takedown. Training in that was followed by another stance, one that required her to make herself big - a tall task, if you'll pardon the pun - for someone so small. Mortal Transition was a stance transition that created separation between the user and their opponent. Useful for when you need some space.
[ Hades Stance, Olympian Stance, Mortal Transition ]

Titan's Grip was the first major throw in the style, allowing its user to gain the upper hand a gain an advantage suddenly. Next up was a "position" technique, which in this case was essentially a pin that sought to choke out the opponent in the process. Finally, Coda moved on to a position technique that required her to control the arms of the user from the side. A powerful position from which to work into something else, but not too dangerous on its own.
[ Titan's Grip, Position of Fates, Dominating Hercules ]

The last of the second stage positional techniques was Mount Olympus. At heart it was a basic full-mount grapple that would allow the user to go to town, but might be a bit tough for someone Coda's size to pull off. Hero's Transition rounded out the second stage of Olympia, a transition between ground positions this time as opposed to stances. Act of Hercules was a pretty straightforward takedown, separated out into a trio of different methods with different effects.
[ Mount Olympus, Hero's Transition, Act of Hercules ]

Fall to Tartarus was a DDT, let's just be honest that's what this s**t is. Y'all watch too much WWE if you think that s**t's a thing anyone would actually do in a fight. Nemian Grip was an interesting triangle choke, where user attacked the torso and attempt to prevent the target's diaphragm from expanding so they could take in air. The last was a hammer-fist attack, simply using blunt force. While Coda was intrigued by the effects claimed from these attacks, she had to say she was technically unimpressed with the style so far.
[ Fall to Tartarus, Nemian Grip, Ajack's Club ]

And immediately followed up by another hammer-fist technique. There was nothing different about them, and it was begging to annoy Coda. Though, she supposed, the effect was all she really cared about. Cutting the Hydra Head was a really fancy name for a pretty standard arm-bar. Boring, but ultimately used widely because of its effectiveness. And finally the woman was faced with a simple suplex. Nothing wrong with a good, old-fashioned suplex for wearing out an enemy in a close-quarters fight.
[ Hephaestus's Hammer, Cutting the Hydra Head, Perseus Suplex ]

The next technique on Coda's list was an elbow lock. An exceptionally painful technique that could cause all kinds of ligament damage - probably useful against those who used excessive handseals. There it was, the staple judo throw. As a smaller fighter, Coda had to admit that she enjoyed the leverage based techniques because of how in-control they made her feel. Following the throw up was a powerful elbow, nothing flashy but also nothing to scoff at. Hitting someone with an elbow could be like using a hammer, especially if you hit them in the head. Calling it a sword was a bit much, though.
[ Bow of Odysseus, Agamemnon's Wrath, Hector's Sword ]

Coda had a bit of a giggle to herself imagining how ridiculous it would be if she were to perform the Hoist of Icarus body slam into a pool of lava. Man, it'd suck to be on the end of that. Hell, if she ever got a chance to show what she was made of, it'd suck to stand close to the genin. Following up the body slam was a forearm choke on the ground. Brutal and utilitarian, but again, there was little to find issue with there. Next up was a pair of big slams, including one of Coda's favorites, the classic power bomb. Yet another thing to pair with her lava. Alas, she was done with Olympia for the time being, on to something else.
[ Hoist of Icarus, Hypnosis Dream, Colossal Might ]

From the power of the Olympia style, Coda moved right onto the blinding speed of Whirlwind taijutsu. The first step was training for that speed, specifically dealing with the forces and impacts involved. The next was a useful technique for high-flying antics, allowing the user to fall from extremely high heights without hurting themselves. The last technique of the first stage was a hurdle that propelled the user into an attack. Very situational, but potentially useful against defensive ninjutsu users throwing up obstacles everywhere.
[ Whirlwind Training, Somersault, Power Slide ]

More training started out the next stage, focusing on technique refinement to prevent some of the natural losses of speed that came with changing direction. Training was always useful, especially when it prevented problems down the road. The next technique reminded her somewhat of Konohagakure no Taijutsu, for its high flying kick based attacks. Roundabout rounded out the techniques, situational like Power Slide but capable of delivering a powerful attack in the right situation or when paired with the right other techniques.
[ Switchblade, Kickflip, Roundabout ]

It seemed like there was quite a bit of training in the Whirlwind style, as the third stage also started off with a bit of it. Perfecting Balance seemed like a powerful piece of a larger puzzle when paired with her grappling. Scissor Handspring seemed like little more than a flashy dodge with a kick worked in. Coda figured there were worse things, but it didn't inspire her much. Wall Kick further continued the style's focus on momentum and use of the environment. A lot of these would be super useful in the interior of a building, provided any of the ninjutsu dipshits chose to not just blow it the ******** up for a change.
[ Perfect Balance, Scissor Handspring, Wall Kick ]

Swinging Fury was another technique that required being around something a ninjutsu user had to choose not to destroy. Oh well, couldn't hurt to have it in the back pocket. A quick combo followed up the swinging attack, adding something a bit more universally functional from an offensive perspective. Not that she needed it, but the thing would allow her to pack a lot of attack into one moment. Standing Hurricane was an intriguing spinning attack that could be useful if she needed to stop a lot of incoming strikes, but perhaps not the most useful overall.
[ Swinging Fury, Lesser Combo, Standing Hurricane ]

Coda felt right at home performing Flying Hurricane, as it was so similar to the flying kicks of Konohagakure no Taijutsu. Couldn't hurt to have options, though. Falling Hurricane was very simple, just with a higher jump at the front of it. More flash than substance, but sometimes flash was what you needed. Coda wrapped her current set of training with more training. This one allowed her to apply all her speed bonuses to her reflex as well. Quite a powerful bit of training that would vastly increase her ability to hang around at high speed.
[ Flying Hurricane, Falling Hurricane, Advanced Whirlwind Training ]

All of that taijutsu training down, and just a couple more techniques to work on. Coda started with a more advanced combo. This one upped the strikes by one with the downside of the user needing to hang back a bit after it and recover from the stress. Overall, a quite deadly attack. It was paired with a flipping series of kicks that made the genin dizzy almost immediately. It was probably just the effect of putting the whole style together at once, but she'd have to be careful to not get carried away and learn when to use what. Overall, though, you couldn't really argue that her training session had been anything but wildly successful.
[ Moderate Combo, Wheelbarrow Kick ]

Those pesky little moths that had not ceased to flutter about seemed to laugh at Seiko as she crossed paths with the village's dojo. She was not particularly inclined to actually go in, but she didn't to deny where her senses were leading her. Instead of stepping foot inside, the girl simply stopped just before the foyer. [ 1 / 3 ]

Her pale blue eyes stared up at the building, and in the blink of an eye, there was a shift within her. Instead of blue, her irises were pink and the world around her grew bright and luminous. It took her a moment to focus, but when she did, she could see all those training within the building as bright beacons. [ 2 / 3 ]

They flickered and fluctuated as some sparred, and as others stretched and trained. None of them stood out to her. Though beautiful, their signatures were all the same; no moths. No. Those remained fluttering about her head, bobbing away from the dojo and flying back into her when she remained planted in place. Seiko wanted to squash them, but she knew it would do no good. If she wanted them to leave her alone, she'd have to find Chouga. And, obviously, the Akimichi was elsewhere. [ 3 / 3 ]

Course at the time didn't know she was lookin for me to begin with. It bothered me what had gotten Chie so riled up but worrying about things like that weren't my forte. I was a live in the moment kinda guy. Over my shoulder, a fishing rod which had seen some use dangled a bit of seaweed evidence of its use recently. I was still getting shown up by that boy but one of these days the student will surpass the twelve year old master of fishing. My sculpted pectorals and abdominals whappin into the dame as I wasn't rightly paying all that much attention.

Having bumped into the gal so rudely I could only speak the following utterance. "Sorry bout that" Before I cracked my neck and proceeded down to one of the more notable secluded dojo areas less I was aburptly stopped for whatever reason. Unbeknownst to me as I moved ahead my hook caught something. That something would have been the gals collar. Less she saw the hook coming I'd be inadvertantly draggin her along with me. Or ruining a perfectly good outfits collar. Whatever came first.

Just as the dark haired girl shifted her weight to turn and walk the other direction, her shoulder met with another. Had she not stopped so abruptly, her body slightly stiffened, she may have earned herself a bit of a shove. If only she had seen him in the first place, it's not like he was incredibly difficult to miss. Maybe she was just distracted? Or, rather, too focused on one thing that she missed the person walking toward her. In any case, she decided to blame the moths that her mind had construed into illusions. It was a bad habit, if it could even be called that.

With a clear of her throat and a wave of her hand, Seiko spun on her heel to either acknowledge or confront the person who had bumped into her. Either way, she hadn't yet decided until she saw the tattered, burnt orange material that cascaded down his back, "Hey-- that's.." her voice started loud, then tapered as she squinted at the holes. Moths. At that point she was too distracted to catch the glimmer of the fishing line, let alone see the hook until she felt the tug at her collar. Her eyes then widened slightly, realizing that he was carrying a fishing pole and that she had been hooked.

Another sound escaped her throat, but this time her feet carried her toward the male's retreating figure. Her hands reached up to fumble with the hook in her collar, all the while she spoke, "You'll be rather displeased to know I'm not a fish.. And, that you won't be able to catch any while you've got me." Her head was angled down, fingers still fiddling with the hook as she had padded along after him. She was tempted to look up, to further examine the man, but was also not very keen on ripping her dress.

My line felt taut. The locked line tugging. Hm, it musta snagged something. Course I didn't know I'd caught me a dame. Turning the line lock horizontal the line would start to unreel and slack. Turning round I'd whip the line in the fashion my good ol teach taught me. The momentum traveled down the line as the hook end unsnagged, the only damages an unfortunate small hole in the gals attire. Figured this is what'd happen when I didn't do a full reel like I was taught. That'll teach me to slack off in my fishin lessons. The familiar almost buzzing like sound of the reeling line would add to the sound of my voice. "My bad little lady. My fish'n sall wraped up today. Lucky you I'm the catch and release type. You look like like you wouldn't taste none to good. Er..not to say that I've tasted people, least not flesh, let alone a lady, hrk mean ta say, you know lets just bury them words." Thinking back durin that blood moon the blood did taste like home cooked beef broth at the time. Doubt it would taste the same now. Didn't really want to give this train of thought anymore thought, I'd turn tail.

"Well you take care. You hear." while I wasn't what you'd call a professionally busy man, handling the would be desires of the children I'd all but redeemed myself to kept me busy in the other sense. What little time I did have to myself I needed to hurry up on. So while it might have seemed some sort of rude, the gal didn't particularly imply she needed me then and there, an I needed to be over and somewhere. So that's where I'd head as I slid the door open to the building and hung up my uneccessaries. Crick of the back the old man I felt I was and I'd start my day three regimen. Starting at turning on the spinning machine with many limbs I'd start recieving beatings that I'd need to brace myself for less I get whalloped. Focus was impertaive in this kind of endurance training. So there'd hopefully be little to distract me otherwise as I worked up the good sweat. Likely this made it all the more awkward for the girl earlier to address me if she had business, but my head wasn't in a set to believe any ol gal long the way needed me for anything. In fact that would have come as a surprise ta say the least. She'd have ta wait a good ten minutes watching a sweaty man defend against blows if she didn't want ta interrupt.

An appropriate amount of relief washed over Seiko as the pesky little hook was pulled free of her collar. Nevertheless, she brushed at the small hole more to feel the change in texture, rather than to necessarily be upset. Her mind never settled on small, trivial things. Because when it did, funny little illusions seemed to follow her around and she was already in the midst of dealing with those moths. She cleared her throat, and as the man began to speak, her gaze shifted up to focus on him. He was talking about fishing and how she wouldn't taste all that great, but all she could hear was Chie's voice.

Mothman aesthetic.. Gorgeous six pack..

Without really thinking, she managed to get out, "Moth aesthetic, yes." she batted at a flutter in her peripherals, pushing out a sharp breath through her nose. "Gorgeous six pack? Huh.. Yeah, sure. Why not?" Her eyebrows raised as she trotted after the man, who seemed to be on quite the mission to get some sort of training in for the day.

Seiko watched, seemingly unphased, but curious as he went through the routine. The amount of moths, sweat and abs threatened her senses, but she knew that if she were to fight against them now, there would be a lot more trouble than she bargained for. Really, she just wanted to help Chie..

"You're Chouga, aren't you?" She broke the silence not too long after he began, her head tilting somewhat to the side, "Chie is.." her words trailed off at the sound of an explosion, head craning in it's direction. Albeit not particularly loud, it obviously was not hard to miss either. The hairs on the back of Seiko's neck bristled despite the dojo's warmth. Was it finally happening?

After a long, drawn out moment absorbing and reflecting upon the liklihood that their village was just attacked, the young kunoichi reaffirmed her attention to Chouga, "Lady Chie is looking for you. I'm sure now more than ever. We should get you back to the Academy." Seiko took steps back toward the door, sliding it open to be ready for him to slip away to the School of Heaven with her.

                                                                🅳🅾 🅽🅾🆃 🅱🅴, 🅻🅴🅳 🅰🆂🆃🆁🅰🆈

As I started to get in the flow the sound of the girls voice chimed again. In that moment I'd feel a thud in my skull. Followed by a ringing in my ears. This was caused by the wooden limb slamming into my momentarily distracted head. A bit back the pain with only myself to blame as I tried to multi-task listening to the girl and speaking simultaneously while defending myself. "Oh...hyut...you're still here...cheh...yup...tch. Thats me...Chou..ga..Atsui." Then I heard her name. Lady Chie's name. She wanted me? Needed me? For what purpose. Again I'd loose my focus taking a blow to the hip which caused me to wince. It'd leave a bruise. I figured now would be as good a time as any to cut my regimen and listen to what the gal had left to say.

Then that's when the siren sounded. I'd look out the window. I wouldn't see anything but I'd feel a rumble. This must have been what put Chie on edge. I'd then tell the girl in a short string of words. "Couldn't have picked a better time I'd guess." The sound of a locker opening, a large nail inside I kept within the size of the locker itself almost. Yes indeed, a nail, the last thing one could imagine being used as a weapon. A flat head and a point, the thing you use to keep wooden planks from falling apart. I'd get suited up and towel off as I heard the door slide open indicating the gal was one her way out.

I'd grab the gal by her shoulders the musk of my exercise present but not offensive. In some ways, if would be oddly...feminine? Results from Chie's nature chakra having left a permanent mark on me and my hormones. In a stark contrast to the to the usual deepness of my tone what came out of my mouth was "Nuh uh gal pal. I, gotta get YOU back to the academy." The girl was young, that much was certain and in this event of looming danger about to or what had already unfurled it was my duty to ensure the girl's safety.
So as unnecessary as it was she'd suddenly feel her haunches being lifted off the ground from behind.

I'd be carrying the girl whose name I'd yet to even know yet, like a man would his newlywed bride. Perhaps embarrassing but I found time imperative. I also had a habit of doing things without asking in times of crisis. If I was to be yelled at later then it would be better than being responsible for a dead body that could have been prevented. I'd hold the girl close to my chest. While the position she would be carried in was comfortable due to my strength the same might not have been said for the slight traces of moistness that still lingered on my body in trace amounts. "Welp onward and outward." -exit with Seiko in tow.

Uzumaki Lohner
φ Fettered Soul φ Uzushiogakure φ
DotonSuiton ╫ Genin ╫

Lohner chuckled to himself as he quickly passed through the doorway out of their home and waited a brief few moments for Nanami to catch up, and when she didn't immediately he continued on towards the dojo. Uzushiogakure's streets wound and gave berth to myriad paths, many of which were yet untravelled by the genin, one such path delivered him to the far side of the academy grounds and the dojo. An odd air hung over the grounds which depressed the young man, his verdant eyes scanned for any source to match the oppressive feeling that lingered and he found, in short order, that the academy itself had been wrecked. With a sigh, he took his pack from his shoulders and removed a few pieces if gear, an arming cotte, chauces, and a long black case that bore a fuuin inscription along its side.

Throwing the case into the air, Lohner formed a tiger hand seal. The fuuin on the case lit white for a brief moment before it released a multitude of katana and arming swords along the dojo grounds. The outer barrier of these swords was lined in yellow caution tape, marked with the words Keep Out at a regular interval. As these blades landed around Lohner he surveyed the field and kicked up three of them, the tips tossed from the dirt and slashed through the air in front of him. When they came parallel to his chest he smacked the three of them at tree hilt so they careened into a nearby wall and landed with an impactful force.

The weight of the blades felt off in the Genin's hands as he lofted them, the Uzumaki sighed and twisted one of the longswords in his grip and began a delicate motion with it. Several times he flourished it, turned it end over end, with the blade focused on crossing eight particular lines to return to a central stance. Many from his village were trained in the arts of the katana, the kunai, or several other more known tools of war. Lohner found himself more interested in much older or more foreign weapons, his favorite among them this. The longsword, whether the larger hand-and-a-half 'b*****d-swords' or the smaller arming swords, they bore such strong resemblance to the ancient tsurugi that Lohner oft wondered on the common ancestry between the two. As he mused the practice got away from him and the blade gripped in his hands collided with one of the blades strewn through the area, which knocked it to the ground and surrendered his mind to the present.

"Better, much better. Focus, Lohner." The young man whispered to himself as he adjusted his sword upwards and took a new stance.

Twisting the blade once more in his hand he took a step forward from his stance and lashed out, an imposing air rushed behind the genin as the blade came to rest. He looked ahead to where the other blades rested in the wall, then down to the entryway of the courtyard.

"Come on sis, I'm getting bored here."
