It didn't take long to find the young man named Tommy - though Lena seemed to be struggling with the bag that Nash had provided for them. Should she open it and offer him a cookie? Or should she offer him the bag and let him distribute the cookies?
What did proper social protocol call for here????
Her smile strained for a moment as she found herself growing anxious. Finally, she simply offered the bag to the gentleman with the "Tommy" nametag along with as much of a genuine smile as she could muster - who got anxious over silly little cookies anyhow?
Lena Sargent, apparently.
"Wishes... well, I mean, if we're being technical, I wish I had my parents back." She frowned, knowing the morbid subject was surely a stormcloud over a parade, "But as far as dreams went... I always wanted to write my own book. I don't think I can write as well as others, but I'd love to one day see a book on a shelf with my name written on it. What about you?"

Merric had ended up with a lady this time, pale haired and kindly looking. He had picked up the bag of cookies and now tugged them open, offering one to Sherry first, the ribbon undone so that she could choose one if she liked.
"What do you think about - about wishes?" he asked, trying to stay on topic this time - though really, his last conversation had been quite enjoyable."

"Oh, I like all kinds of things. It varies a lot with what I'm in the mood for, or what's available." He waved a hand, then gestured at a small pile of pillows and cushions before sinking down to take a seat on them. He didn't mind standing, but she seemed a little out of her depth and it might help. Granted the level with which he watched her probably didn't help. Zeke was ever observant, and that extended to the people he interacted with as well, especially the interesting ones. Kammy was fairly interesting so far. "You're not usually one for crowds, are you?" It was asked mildly, and finally he'd Lucy his cookie to take a small bite.

The tall guy picked up a bag of cookies prepared for them and examined it carefully. He wasn't sure how much sugar was used to make them and pondered if he shall take risk to have a bite on one. Ace had granted two partners in his new round, one lady and one gentleman. The host of the event quickly introduced them to each other before heading to another group, he looked fully occupied and that amused the Sun trainee. He returned the grin in similar manner, "Is it?" It was the first speed dating he took part in he was too clueless to say anything. "I just know rules are for breaking." Ace gave his partner a naught smile. "Wishes...." he mused, "Um, that's hard." He idly grabbed a cookie and threw into his mouth, then he frowned bitterly, a child-like expression mismatched his age. "Okay, I wish I haven't put it in my mouth and I have a drink to flush it down." Even he seemed not enjoying the cookies, he chewed and swallowed it. Then he tossed the whole bag to his another partner tagged Kade. "Your turn." The sugar content of them was too much for his taste, despite he liked the spiciness of the cinnamon. Quote: Ace didn't dress up uniquely for this event, just his usual shredded tank with a pair of matching black skinny jeans. He had his make-up on.

Zane gave Ever a two-fingered salute as they were moved to their next partners.
If he noted her intense staring, the ginger said nothing and offered her a lazy grin in response to her bright and cheery disposition. Fingers scratched through his beard as he looked at her.
She was cute.
"Ya? Like what?" Zane inquired, as he himself didn't have very many aspirations. He was here to be awesome and coast through life, that was about it really.

Cee found herself in front of this 'Frederick', someone she'd never met before and gave him an up and down glance at his rather eccentric style of dress. "So kin I call you Fred? S'like way easier.." Her eyes darted to the board and then back. "Wishes. You know what I wish? I WISH I COULD JUST TOUCH SOME PEOPLE.." It was yelled for the host's benefit. Or maybe she wished this was winding down. Cee was too sober for all this right now.

Seren tilted her head, listening to Ever quietly. Hmmm, not the only one with a sibling they didn't want here. "Yeah... That would be... the best, in my opinion. If Dai were to come here, I... don't know how well I'd handle that, to be honest. I can see why you'd wish that." She glanced at Roswell, and gave him a somewhat sympathetic look, knowing that HIS brother was here, and that it had rather thoroughly stressed him out. Along with other things, she suspected, but that was another issue.

She didn't mind talking about it but his interest did surprise her. Normally people preferred to avoid any kind of dramatic backstory. So her smile went back to its normal brightness level, and she shrugged.
"Oh, you know. For my sister to get better, for my parents to get jobs that didn't work them to the bone and paid them better, for my other sisters to not be so lazy and actually be willing to help out..." and she rambled a bit, going down an extensive list of wishes all about her family. There was nothing on that list that was especially for her, though.
She eventually caught herself (or rather, Sen did) and stopped talking, gesturing to him. "What about you?"

"Not a very good wish though." Ever grinned at her instead, shrugging just a bit -- relaxing into this, even if Seren was the epitome of Not His Type. He folded arms over his chest and tried to come up with something a little bit more fun. "How about wishing for a glass that never empties, if we can go all out? Or, I don't know." A beat, and his smile widened that much more. "How about an air conditioner?"

Inoke was a bit glad when the girl left, he wasn't trying to be mean but her questions seemed to have no backing and nothing behind them. It was obvious she wasn't enjoying herself. Not that it helped that he wasn't the most friendly himself. When his new partner sat down he smiled slightly. "Promenade des Anglais?" Sounded French but he had no idea what it was. "Sounds nice whatever it is. Wish we were on the beach though. Salty air and sun makes almost everyone happier."

"Cool. Sounds pretty adaptable." Kammy saw the gesture and the comfortable looking pillows and cushions, gratefully sinking into the pile of fabric having been standing this hole time. It was hard to resit making a pillow fort and hiding underneath all the softness. So far she hadn't noticed him staring at her, her eye contact now on the pillows which she picked up and squished to give her hands something to fidget with. "Not really. I don't mind hiding in them ala assassins creed style. Keeping quiet and listening. You learn lots of things that way, especially if no ones paying attention to you. But my own company is good." She sighed, sinking into the pillow goodness. "You a crowd person? Like talking to all the people?"

Fred grinned, admiring his new partner keenly. She was impressive and her attitude was even moreso. "Fred's just fine, I hate my long name. I can live with this better."
He did however agree with the sentiment. "And well, if you are the touching kind of person I'm sure I could arrange some other place and time where it'd be completely fine if you were ******** inclined that way." He laughed.
"I just wish they had food and an open bar."
He shrugged. "And if we are going lifelong wishes, probably the ability to get back on my ******** game."

Brittney didn't mind the cookies, at least they weren't terrible oatmeal raisins because those were just punishments in her opinion. When she eventually located her partner for the third round, she gave the guy a nod of acknowledgment before checking their topic of discussion.
She made a face when she read it. "The <********> is this cheesy-a** sappy-wappy bullshit?" she sneered.

Joy was impressed with the cookies, having never gotten the knack for baking and cinnamon being a somewhat rare flavor where she came from. "Wow, these are good. I wish I could make something like these," she said to her current partner. "Oh! Um, that's not my wish-thing answer for this round," she hastily corrected herself.

Melvin looked at the little bag of treats they had been given, and pulled the ribbon to see a baggie of cookies in the shape of hearts. He started to eat them because there wasn't any other snacks in arm's reach around here, but he did wish he had milk.
They kinda tasted like snickerdoodles to him.
