"A party store downtown?", Stacy inquired, "Downtown where? I'm at Groovy Town, the only party store in town."

They had a new mall? An even better party store? Stacy liked the sound of that. No longer would she have to buy things from Groovy Town if it were true. She eagerly began to walk towards the exit.

But then she turned back, she saw something interesting. It was made of the same cheap plastic as the rest, but it almost beckoned to her. Yellow and purple roses in a nearby aisle! Those were the only colours available, but those were perfect. Samantha likes yellow roses, and the purple went with their colour. She began to think, it would be lovely to surprise Samantha with something like this at the bachelorette party. She'd just keep them in the car for now, and go with Maddy to find the other decorations.

Perhaps this trip over here wasn't so much of a waste after all.



She parked at the mall she agreed to meet Maddy at. Stacy went over to the front entrance, and stood there. It was quite a nice place to be. The mall's front door brought her memories of times she went shopping with Samantha. Oh, where does the time go?

Their time spent shopping at the mall was a rather great one. Of course, the first stop on their trip was the second floor's party store. The supplies available that this place were actually competent, and outdid Groovy Town by a longshot. Stacy was even thinking that she should come here for party stuff from now on, and forget about that old party store. Nevertheless, they quickly found all that they needed, and came out with filled shopping bags.

Maddy wanted to check out the underwear next, so they both went to check it out. Their department for it was an absolutely exquisite one. And not even Stacy could hide some of the excitement she felt from seeing what they had in store. So many beautiful pairs of womens' underwear! She could've swooned right then and there, and made a scene in the middle of the store.

Eventually, they focused less on the upcoming party, and more on just having a good time in the mall. They went to the photo booth, and took silly pictures of themselves. They tried on all the outfits they could in the clothing store fitting rooms. They even pretended to drive some of the fancy display cars. By the end of it all, the two of them were just relaxing at a food court table, despite having ordered nothing at all.

"This has been a great day.", Stacy said to Maddy from across the table, "First the Sandwich Barn, then the mall. You're super fun to be around, y'know."

"Ooh!", was Stacy's response to the underwear that was picked out for Samantha. Judging by her astounded facial expression, she loved them.

"It's strange, really. Years ago, when Sammy and I were just a little bit younger, we'd go to the mall together all the time. Whenever we saw something we liked, we would buy it. And when we weren't carrying money, we'd just look at it... with our hands. We did a lot of the same stuff today that I always used to do with her... Well, except for the underwear shopping. We hardly did THAT together."

"But you know, you really do remind me of a younger Samantha. You're as funny and energetic as she was back then. And for a second, I really thought I had gone back in time, and that you were her." She stuck her hand out, and pinched Maddy on the cheek for one second. "And when I think that, you actually kinda look like her, too."

Stacy sighed. "Next thing I know, our college days our over. I get a low-paying job at an insurance company, and a bad house with extremely cheap rent. And the two of us never really thought of one another again... And then when I do see her, she's the successor to her father's company, and she's getting married to a famous billionaire. I'm just glad she still remembered me, and wanted me to be her Maid Of Honor. It means a whole lot to finally see her again."

[Maddy being bi? You read my mind! I was already flirting with the idea of Stacy and Maddy becoming a couple for a long time. I thought I'd wait until Samantha's wedding to hit you with this crazy idea, but if you're thinking of Maddy being bi, that's actually perfect!]

Stacy was thinking of telling Maddy just what it was about her that could embarrass someone in public. But that would ruin the mood! It's best they saved that conversation for later.

"I'd love to hang out with you some more!", she said to Maddy, "We could keep in touch after this whole party thing, and arrange times to meet after work. Do you live in the same town as I do? You've been able to come here quite a bit from wherever you are."

[Also, this is a weird question, but what are some of our main characters' surnames? Paul and Stephanie are clearly both Latimers. Samantha's going to become a Latimer later on, but what's her surname until then?]

[And what about Maddy's surname? She's Paul's cousin, so she's either a Latimer as well, or has a different surname.]

[I was thinking that Stacy's surname should be "Klondike". Thought it was funny because it had "dyke" in it. But if you find it offensive, I can change it.]

"No thanks. I'm good.", said Stacy, "I'm actually supposed to be on a diet... supposed to be." She began giggling at her own failed plans to lose weight for a little while. But then, she looked rather glum.

"Well, anyway, I don't know HOW they could get tired of you. I couldn't get enough of you, actually. I mean, maybe you could tone down the filthy language in public a little, but I really learned to look past that today. Because there's more to you than that. You're full of life, and loving every moment that passes by. Who wouldn't want to hang around someone like that?"

For a while, the two of them just laughed. There was a lot of laugh about today. Good times to look back on today, as well as many good times to look forward to in the future. And as they sat here in the mall's food court, they would continue to have fun with one another. If sunset wasn't near, these two would be inseparable.
