Kalliope Post 5The more she eyed the blanket the more her heart became set on it. However, her ears caught wind of the price mentioned by the vendor and she looked at him with a stunned look. "Are you a merchant or a thief!?" The words had come bursting out of her mouth before Ouen could say anything in the ways of bargaining. Kalli narrowed her eyes at the stall owner. "For that price I can go buy the fur and stitch the thing myself!" As the sexy shifter she was with had his attention drawn elsewhere she got the vendor to lower their price to something agreeable. It wasn't until Ouen asked what it was that was going on that she looked in the direction of the people pointing. With her hand half shoved into her cleavage she gave a hum. "I'm not sure, did you wanna check it out?" Now that she had her something for the baby she didn't mind doing other things. "Maybe we can find something to eat? The baby is starving." The Oban dancer pulled out a sack of coins from her cleavage and counted out the agreed amount for the blanket. Once it was handed over she smiled at Ouen. "Will you carry the blanket?" If not then she could wrap herself in it to fend off the night breeze, either worked for her. Giving her attention to the sky as more and more people seemed to point and stare she tilted her head. What was it that was so interesting? The stars? Was there a shooting star perhaps? As she searched she finally saw what it was. It was enough to make her take a step back and reach for Ouen with one hand as the other went to her belly. "O-Ouen.. I think I see what's going on."

Post 5 Borra was starting to wonder if he choose this place to look at instruments to torment himself, after all he didn't really want to replace his lute but he was tired of the guilt associated when using it. He was about to pick up another instrument, earning a wary stare from the stall seller when an arm was wrapped around him and he was pulled back. He felt his lute bump up against Gyuri's broad chest and he was surprised by the gesture and he felt his face redden. Emotions he wasn't quite sure he understood were flaring up, but he didn't get a chance to dwell on it long when the bowmen passed through. He watched them, glancing at the sky and then looking over his shoulder saw Gyuri's grim expression. He felt a sinking in his chest, "Maybe...we should go find everyone.." Borra managed in a whisper not wanting to admit he was nervous about those archers and the sky.

Nivalis - Post 3 There was an instant where Nivalis thought the older girls would refuse her. In the long run, she supposed it didn't really matter if they stayed together or separated at this point; she would see and enjoy this festival either way, and dividing was (in her mind) more to their benefit than hers. She didn't mind a bit of uncertainty. But she could physically see the lack of faith they had in her words. That was the most disconcerting thing.
She huffed softly and coiled a lengthy dreadlock around her little finger. "Trust me," Niva insisted a little more tersely. "It will be fine." Hesitant or not, they had agreed. Besides, they were older than her and larger than the vast majority of people here. They'd be fine.
Reaching into a small leather pouch strapped to her belt, Niva produced a rolled scrap of parchment. She handed it to Zayana. "I've compiled a short list of Alkidike herbs I wish to bring back to Zinris with me," she explained. "Please find them. It doesn't look like there's any system of organization, as far as merchants are concerned, so the hunt may be quite trying. But we are Elaria, and we do not fail our missions. I trust you with this task." She gave her two sisters the brightest, most reassuring smile she could manage.
"As to where we should meet afterwards, perhaps nearer to the outskirts of the market, where there are less people and vendors?" She clutched at Naqenni's hand once again. "I'm sure Naqenni will be able to see you over the crowd. Let's not be apart too long. We'll meet up before nightfall, okay?"
It was the start of a plan, if not a perfect one.

TAU - post 5
Tau was munching happily on his meat sticks, picking up a third from the vendor before he turned with his mouth open towards the commotion that was coming from the east side of the market. "Whhaatttt is going on over there?" He nudged his wife, speaking with his mouth still full.
"It looks like fire in the sky." He looked up into the clouds and the setting sun to see the blaze growing brighter. He immediately inched closer to Liira, hoping that she won't been protecting. His thoughts flew to Tyyn, wondering where she was and hoping that it was just an overreaction on his part.

LIIRA - post 5
Liira looked to her husband with confusion and annoyance. Was he just trying to get her to look away so he could steal her food? But his face showed real concern. She turned her head, craning to try to get a better look at what was going on. The market seemed to be murmuring with news, and there was a glow to the sky that just wasn't normal. "Don't say things like that. It can't be fire." She pushed her husband back on his seat. He was just trying to get her to worry.

YEJIDE - post 5
Yejide listened to the fire boy, his eyes locked on the sky. "A book, huh?" She shrugged her shoulders. "I guess that's a good gift for someone who sits around all day." She agreed with his choice.
Before they could even look toward the stalls for a book, Yejide turned her head, her ears picking up on an odd feeling to the talk of the market. "What... is going on? Is it just me, or does everyone seem a little on edge right now?" She asked the fire earthling.
She looked up toward where she could see some fingers pointing and her eyes squinted at what she couldn't comprehend. There was smoke in the air, something coming closer to the market.

MIRIN - post 5
Mirin grinned, putting her hands behind her head. Well, good. It was decided then. They would be off to find a bow. She grinned to Korra, excited to help out where she could. She had just gotten her whip not too long ago, and she remembered how excited she was to be able to practice with something that felt her own.
Her eyes caught something behind Korra's head and she pointed towards the clouds. "Hey guys... what is that?" She squinted and leaned forward, trying to get a better look at what she was seeing. "Is that fire? Does that look like fire to you?" She asked aloud.

JHANA - post 5
Jhana was in the middle of laughing, enjoying the friendly teasing of their brother before she trailed off and her eyes got wider. "Guys... Um..." She was looking up at the clouds, with the sun setting in the background. There was the usual fiery colors, but... there was something more. There was fire in the air.
"Guys! I think there's something coming! It's fire!" She was panicking now, her pulse racing. She knew it was a bad idea to come out, she was too young for this. Her face lost it's color. She tried to breath, tried to remember that she just made things worse in her head, and that she was too worrisome for her own good, but this wasn't in her head.

TYYN - post 5
She was still looking over the feather, her face contorted into confused questioning at the person in front of her, but the market seemed to be buzzing with intensity. "What... do you feel that? It's like everyone is suddenly in a bad mood." She grimaced. She swiveled her head back and forth, trying to figure out what it was exactly that was going bad. Was there a fight somewhere?
She saw a crowd of people growing on the east side of the market. "I'm gonna go check out what's going on. Are you coming with?" She offered. She would only offer once, she needed to know what was going on, and she wasn't waiting for anyone.

Driidipost fiveShe was right. There would be no idle gift purchases made in the face of whatever was coming. Drii had been poised to look for a flowery book of some sort, but he was soon as distracted by the thing in the sky as everyone else. He stared at it, his surroundings momentarily forgotten. When he came back to himself he felt for his satchel, embarrassed that he had fallen into the sort of behavior he would have quickly taken advantage of in the past.
"Yes, I'd wager it's the fault of whatever that is. We might want to take cover." Or rush out to meet it. He couldn't decide.

Gyuri - Post 6 Gyuri's mismatched eyes remained on the sky, not releasing Borra yet, as he watched what was up there for a time before he spotted something that appeared to be moving within the fire, something... large. His eyes went a bit wide and Borra's voice seemed to reach him as he said they should go find everyone else. He blinked slowly before his eyes broke away from the sky and went to Borra. They should find everyone else... yes. Wait, how... how would he defend them against something like that? They were huge, they could fly, and he only had his gauntlets with him. If they came to the ground, sure, he'd attempt to punch them senseless but otherwise he'd be mostly on the defensive, trying to keep his charges together and safe from... well, whatever was invading the skies. Gyuri gave the slightest twitch before he turned to look at the sky again, "Yes... we will return here later, once we know everyone is alright." He released his hold around Borra... though he slid his hand down to take Borra's hand in his, "Stay close to me."

Uzumati - 3
He was trying to force himself to utter some noise before the disturbance happened. Frowning the male immediately glanced around the crowd. What was happening? Taking a step towards the other girl, Uzumati nodded. "Bad." He muttered quietly, a rare word shaped by the growing chaos he felt rippling in the air around them.
Her offer did take him by surprise, but slowly Uzumati nodded. Not that the girl was any of his concern, but he was curious about what was happening. If it was a challenge then he would be ready to fight it! So after staring at her for a good second the male finally nodded that he would go with her. If not lead the way himself.
With that decided Uzumati clenched his fists in anticipation before following those moving through the crowd...

Ouen: 5
"What? Oh, yeah." He glanced down, distracted, only to have a fuzzy folded blanket shoved into his arms. The thing was so big that even folded up like this it was sort of bulky to carry -- not heavy, just oddly-sized. He took it from her anyway and hefted it onto his shoulder, but given the circumstances, did not quite have the time to ask her how in the world she had managed to get the merchant to lower the price down to something affordable.
Instead, he turned his attention to the obvious tension in the crowd above them. Kalli was clearly aware of it now too, turning her head upwards to see what the others were looking at. There was something in the sky, clearly... but it wasn't anything Ouen had ever seen, so he wasn't sure what to make of it.
"It don't look friendly." He remarked, reaching out to wrap an arm around Kalli's shoulder, pulling the woman closer to him. "You wanna find someplace to hide out? Or d'you wanna find somewhere with a better view?"
Both of them definitely leaned on the adventurous side... but with a baby on the way, the usual priorities got a little muddled."

Aysun - Post 5 Aysun paused in the middle of the conversation that they were having, seeming as though he sort of spaced out as he reached out a hand to rest it against Sinnika's neck. The radaku seemed to suddenly be on edge, didn't he? It wasn't Draven, nor was it Regale or Nile, it was something else. The change in the usually amiable radaku had him glancing from side to side, "What's up, Sinnika?" He murmured, able to feel the rumbling growl that went through him. It was something that had Aysun himself going tense as well, a shiver going up his spine. What was it? What was wrong? Just as he thought that he caught motion out of the corner of his eye, that of archers going passed. His mind whirled for a moment before he jerked his head up, his bright blue eyes locking on the evening sky where he was able to see something moving in the distance. It took a moment of calculation for him to realize that whatever it was that was up there was big, far bigger then a Kinfa, closer to... to a yaotl, only it was up in the air. The sheer idea of that made his mouth drop open a little with excitement and a bit of trepidation. If such a thing was coming this way it might be because they were eager to start trouble... and with al the archers around it was likely that they would shot down. What an absolute waste he thought to himself, hating the idea of some magnificent beast being shot out of the sky. "Something is up there Issaly, Draven... I kind of want to get a better look..." He said, a comment that gave the other two guys free rein as far as them not following him went. With that he started forward, wanting to follow the archers if at all possible, so that he could get a look at what was coming their way. With a displeased sort of chirp Flower waved to Therus and hurried along after Aysun and Sinnika.

Callistos - Post 5 Li found himself smiling as he looked between his various friends, about to suggest that they either go in search of Riya's boyfriend or maybe food, he was good either way. He never got the chance though as some archers came passed them, drawing his attention away from the group he was chatting with, "Hey... do you three see that?" He asked, nudging Uli since he was the closest to him at the moment. While normally he really wouldn't have thought anything of the group it was their pace that drew his attention. The look on their faces as well, that was something worth noting as well... It was likely the fact that he'd spent so much time in the inn, so much time around others, reading them, that the faces of the archers drew his attention. Something seemed to be going on that they weren't very pleased about, huh? It was something that had him lifting on arm up, wrapping it around Uli, before he motioned to Riya and Lilif, "I think that we might want to go in the opposite direction that those archers are heading." It seemed that the safest thing for them to do was head in the direction that was opposite of where the danger lay. They were all naught but prentices after all, with Li being a dancer in training not a fighter, whereas Lilif had struck him as being a bit clumsy... then there was Uli who was just little and cute, something danger would want to go after, leaving only Riya and her punching abilities. As there were already archers going to take things on she shouldn't be pointed in the direction of danger so she could take it on barehanded, "Come on, we should get going. As the oldest it's up to be to decide." At least he assumed he was older then Lilif, it was a little hard to tell but hopefully everyone else would buy it.
