"Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."9th Floor hadn't proven nearly as much of a challenge as he would have expected; the way that the three of them were blowing through demons and floors of this Tower together now was beginning to make him wonder if there was really anything to the upper levels that would make the ascension upward worth it. Apart from having your own skyscraper, that was, and the advantages it would give them in looking over the town, seeing threats coming, and general awesomeness. It was something he has joked about in Bad Future, though in those times the Corruption was a much trickier enemy that you didn't want to have you hemmed in at any given time. But with it just being demons, something that you could find and be wounded by and still walk away from it yourself and alive...well, the idea of taking their own tower or large shelter as their own 'Secret Base'...wasn't that every little boy's dream? Sure, they were older now, and acting on such a thing right now wasn't just a matter of 'coolness', but there was a strategy to it this time. There was no reason not to indulge in something this fun when the results were actually going to be beneficial to their survival, was there? He smirked in enjoyment as he twirled his bat and whistled at the carnage on the 9th Level, leaning against the door to the stairs to the 10th Floor...their original goal for the end of the day...relaxing with his siblings before they moved on.
"You tamed a couple of good ones," Kou nodded at his brother casually, not letting on that he was at all annoyed that his brother had killed more than him on the 9th Floor last time. 7th Floor and 8th had been all him, but he had been a little distracted on the last one, losing the 'contest' this time, leaving him only 2-for-3. Unacceptable. (Even if they usually spit in games such as this one 50/50 regardless.) "10th Floor...all or nothing. Loser takes first watch when we sleep tonight."

"All or nothing? Then I guess I'd better be serious!" he called out, gesturing forth with his demons.
"Girimehkala! Baihu! Let's clean up this round!"
Ten floors...They had gone up ten floors of demons...
The boss type was going to be soon, yeah? He was going to get what he wanted...a tough fight...

"Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."The 10th Floor...Kyou was right, by any game theory this was probably where they would encounter the first Boss Devil in the Tower. And so when the walked up the stairs to the Level and came closer to the door that loomed overhead, he wasn't sure what he expected to find on the other side. Would it be a swarm? An actual, honest-to-god boss monster? Or would it just be another level of weak-a** demons that they had to mow through in order to get further up the Tower towards their goal at the top floor? There was only one way to find out; his hand gripped the handle on the door and pushed it open, stepping out into the floor to look across the way and see exactly what was waiting on them. His hand gripped the nail bat tighter as he stepped out of the staircase and laid his eyes upon the threat that awaited. His lips curled into a faint smirk as he lowered the bat to his side, getting ready to battle. So...this was it, huh? After all the curiosity and their ascent up the Tower, on the so-called 'Boss Floor' this was what awaited them? ...Well it could certainly make the result of their contest as to which killed the most devils on this Floor interesting...
"Huh...didn't expect this," he smirked as he stepped forward, rolling his neck and letting his bat trail behind him, holding its handle tightly with his one hand, "All right, then, you know the score. As Kou pushed the door open, Kyou prepped himself..Girimehkala and Baihu at the ready. His knives twirled about in his hands as Kou gripped his bat..Smirking his same, wide grin.
"Just don't come crying when you lose!" he called as he dashed into the room, using his tiger-like speed and lethality to his advantage. He wouldn't lose after coming this far, No way!

"Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER.""We should have seen this coming."
Kou rolled his eyes as he leaned against the fallen corpse of a rather thin but massive Forneus, the only devil that had been on the entire 10th Floor, and thus, the only enemy that they had to fight over if they were going to claim supremacy over one another in the duel that they had started a few floors down. He lifted his bat and rested it against his shoulder as he smirked faintly, tapping his heel against the devil's oversized body before it dispersed into magatsuhi and left him to straighten back up his full height and brush is forearm over his forehead to wipe away the sweat. Well, obviously, they had beaten the huge guardian...a Boss monster if they had ever encountered one...and while it had been a challenge to some degree, the three of them together had proven far too much of a match for a single devil of its ilk to try and overpower. But rather than Kou having been the one to claim the kill with the ruthless power of his nail bat and the desire to protect his reputation for his two 'younger siblings' (as if they didn't already know one another too well already)...or Kyou having been the one to land the final blow, carving it to shreds with his trademark dual knives and lording that victory over his 'twin' for the next 20 floors to come...
It was Kyouko who had finished the things off with her terrifying whip-work. Of course it was Kyouko. It was always going to be her.
"Terrifying as ever, Sis," he closed his eyes and smirked, leaning against the wall for a short breather before deciding whether or not to move on to the next ten floors before the second of what he guessed would be about 5 bosses, "...So, I guess we'll just have to split 11-19 and see who comes out ahead after those, instead?"

Kyouko Nekata, The Seafoam Guardian of the North  "Hehehe" The girl smirked and stretched after all those demons she had defeated. It was her everyday job, but a good stretching would prevent any injuries to her muscles. After all...if she did get injured...how was she supposed to keep gloating about her whip-quick reactions and skills?
"So, double or nothing? What do you say?" she was teasing, but it was nice knowing her brothers were together with her, and that together they could take on the boss of the final floor! The tower would be theirs! She followed behind them to the next floor, demons coming at them from all directions. She rolled her shoulders, ready to go.
"This reminds me of that one time back at home..."

And, even with his own demons that were stronger..
Her reach was better, and she was scarier. The tenth floor was disappointing..But, as Kou presented the idea of more floors...He grinned.
"You're damn straight." he called, already starting ahead. "I'll wipe the floor with you for 'em! Mark it! A Tiger never changes his stripes, and I'm never gonna give up this match!"

"Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."Before the three of them even had time to think about the fight they had survived on the 10th Floor they were already agreed on their next contest...it was the familial bond that existed between them, the comfort that they had with one another, which made them so much like their respective mother and father...the twins of the Nekata Family's previous 'Greatest Generation' before themselves, Evie, Naal, and Uncle Nito's family in Bad Future had proven themselves to be, perhaps, even more incredible. It showed in how smoothly they worked together, how much stronger they were as a unit than as individuals, which wasn't even to undersell how strong each of them were on their own. But this Tower never stood a chance against them, it just didn't yet know how screwed it was! 10th Floor, cakewalk Boss Fight. 11th Floor after that? Kou smirked as he proudly took the lead, his bat-arm tearing through their enemies like the leader of the Pride, a Lion looming over a herd of gazelle that and picking the bones of a fresh batch of kills.
"That's another floor for me. Are you sure you want double or nothing, Sis?" the Lion glanced over his shoulder in challenge, rolling his shoulder as he prepared for the next level to come...but couldn't resist turning towards his brother a moment later and adding, "You're right. A tiger doesn't change his stripes...because head-to-head, you still can't win against me." Ignoring the fact that they were, as always, pretty much 50/50 whenever they challenged one another...it was basically just a challenge for the next floor, getting his blood pumping red hot for the next one.

"Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."It was proof that they were simply too evenly matched, he supposed, that on the 12th Floor of the Mist Wall Tower that they were steadily clearing out of all the demons that had infested it in the time that they were in the Red Devil's 'sleep', Kyou had managed to once again steal another victory on that floor from his 'older brother', Kou. Kou shook his head with a smirk as the tiger's ferocity proved to be considerable and unavoidable for the demons surrounding them. Once he got onto one of his rolls, his instincts had him slashing and leaping like some kind of apex predator, a perfect killing machine who could cut through devils like it was what he had been born to do. Of course, the instinct of a fighter couldn't always outweigh the strategy and the brutality of a man whose technique was also quite like the gears of some greater mechanism. But then, having just witnessed what Kyouko could do on the 10th Floor against Forneus, it was basically a toss-up which of the three of them would walk away with the most kills on any given floor. That was what made contests against the two of them so fun, after all, and the 'eldest' sibling of the Nekata Trio tapped his bat slowly against the walls of the staircase as they ascended towards the 13th Floor, ready to indulge in yet another round of slaughter...ascending even higher in the Tower than his estimates earlier had placed them by day's end.
"Lucky number 13..." the teen smirked as he came to the door on the staircase for the next level...but what he saw made him open his eyes in amusement, "14th Floor? ...Really? Is that old urban legend true, then? That skyscrapers and tower buildings like to skip the 13th Floor on their numbering systems in order to avoid some kind of curse or bad luck?" He chucked to himself at the superstition, but then, if this really was the '14th' Floor, then where had the 13th gone? Some effect that the demons in the Tower were having on it? He doubted it. Still, it was kind of amusing...such a silly thing over superstition...and look where it got them?

Kyouko Nekata, The Seafoam Guardian of the North "Heh, this isn't over just yet, Kou. You might have kicked more a** this floor, but..the next one is mine!" the teal haired Nekata smirked confidently, already running past the 'twins' to get to the 15th floor first. She was barely tired...the demons they had defeated till now only a mere warm up for the bosses that awaited them further up in the tower. She had renewed energy, and used it to push her legs further, only to stop abruptly before reaching the next floor. Her body froze at the sight in front of her, and she felt the ghost of the wound she had taken the day before aching dully in reminder of how close she had been to death. And now... the one responsible was at the doorway to the 15th floor, just staring down at her with bored eyes and a sadist smile. He was taunting her, she could see it... but she was too scared to even try pushing forth. She wasn't alone now...her brothers were here, and she didn't want them to get hurt. And they would get hurt... This demon...he wasn't normal. Wasn't...
He lost interest quickly enough and turned, and if he said something, she couldn't hear over her own thundering heartbeat. But as quickly as he had appeared...he was gone. And Kyouko Nekata could breathe again.

"Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."He knew it the moment that he laid eyes on him.
Red hair, icy blue eyes, and a terrifying aura that practically reeked of horrific things and the possibility of death should they manage to cross him somehow. He was exactly the way that his sister had described him the day before, right down to the dismissive smirk that rested upon his lips when he looked at them from the doorway to the level, and no sooner had he appeared before them, did Kou feel his rage begin to explode. Like a geyser, radiating out from within him, power flowed like a river! His eyes changed into something red and angry, his body surrounded by aura, and as this Fiend taunted them with his presence, with his words about how he might let them challenge him again if he felt like it...all that Kou could feel was his desire as an older brother to punish this monster for having dared lay his hands upon the family that he held dear to his heart.
And so he didn't wait. He was across the floor in a heartbeat, one single arm crashing with a nail bat down towards the head of Tala Ivanov...but before it could connect a hand caught the weapon smoothly, fingers slotted impossibly around the nails as he used but a fraction of his force to hold his attack in place...smirking with those same ******** eyes as he taunted him up close.
"I said...maybe at the Top Floor, I'll let you have a rematch," Tala taunted, tossing Kou and his bat aside as though they were nothing, the teen landing on his feet and skidding to a stop a few meters from his siblings with the reality of this devil etched now into his mind, "But you have to survive that long. If you can..."
...And like that, he was gone...and filling his place in the room was a horde of devils...obviously prepared by the True Chaos Fiend in advance! And they would have to fight like the possessed just to survive the wave...Quote: 24 Tokens

Kyou called out to his brother as he went to attack the red haired fiend..But, he was too late. The fact that Kyou]/i], infamous for rushing in and trying to take all the glory, was telling him to wait should have been enough of a cue.
Even without facing him before, he could tell...The red haired guy was not like the others.
He'd fought, knifed, and tore apart other devils....But, by every feature he could muster...
From the casual grin, to the vicious smile..To the careless tossing of his twin to his side..He could tell...
'He's a Monster..' he thought, letting out a low snarl. It wasn't enough though, as the True-Chaos demi Fiend sent out a herd of demons..And they would get thrust into battle once more.
"Bicorn, buy me some time.." he called, moving over to his Twin. "Kou, dammit..you gotta snap out of it. We've got a horde of demons to tear apart..."
He grumbled, hearing the Bicorn get torn in two..before he drew out another demon.

That's what he always told himself whenever he was fighting alone. After the run in with the Red-haired Demi fiend, the Tiger of the Nekata wasn't quite left alone..
But, he had to prove himself to them...He had to show that red haired b*****d what he was made of....
And, as he held his phone up, and growled softly at the horde that appeared...
He wasn't going to hold back.
"Black Frost! SURT!"
The black-skinned devil of ice....And the demon with a roaring flame on his sword....
They weren't his Tiger-centric summons...But, in this kind of weird, twisted, ******** up dimension where these monsters laid about...

"I'm gonna.." he started, but didn't finish..Knowing as he was, he could do no such harm to it. He was strong...
But the crimson haired fiend was so much moreso.....Enough for even the bold Tiger of the Nekatas to hesitate in proclaiming superiority over.
Was this...fear? Was he just prey, waiting to be hunted?

But, the Brother still pushing himself to go further. They weren't going to get to his family..Even if he had to put his own life out there to stop it!
"Don't underestimate me.." he spat, flicking out his blade. "I'm not gonna lose to you! Or anyone else, Dammit! And as soon as my brother's ready, he's gonna kick your asses too, Dammit!"
He wasn't worried..He knew Kou could handle it...
