"you? your going to train... me? isn't there some way I can get someone else... you know.... someone a little easier on the eyes? I mean I'm sure you have tons and tons of inner beauty and all that but seriously, if I'm going to be cringing every time I look at you I'm sure as hell not going to be able to train that well..."
Rathen glance at him and turned around making an obvious disgusted look once he saw the strangers face.
"hey... I got an Idea! what about that crazy chick in the bar? yeah sure she'd more likely go psycho on my but at least she's easier on the eyes..."

If you can take me in a simple duel of lightsabers, I will let another train you." He pulled back his cloak, and handed him a plain, up to date lightsaber.

Gre'send hunched, a cane in his hand, to appear old and feeble. Gre'send was an old man sure, but he was in no way feeble. He shadowed himself amidst the general crowd, surveying the area with a keen eye. He dipped his head to speak into a comlink at his neck. "I've taken the point, what are my orders?"

"anything goes?"
Rathen took the light saber and started to examine it slowly. He turned it around several times and made small 'hmmm'ing noises. He tossed it up in the air a few times to test it's weight and then spun it in his hands until he finally stopped moving it around. Still peering at it he held it in front of him, so the tip was facing away, and he began looking at the bottom part of the saber. With a quick flick of his finger he turned on the saber suddenly so that the extending blade would pierce right though the strangers chest if he didn't move.

It seemed as if he transported, but the stranger was almost instantly two steps backwards and ducked. He activated his lightsaber with a 'crack-hiss' in an upward oblique slash.

Rathen smiled as the stranger moved away quickly and he stood holding the saber lazily waiting for the man to attack.
"that’s better, I was wondering if you ever learned about personal space... I generally think the length of a light saber is more the adequate..."
That said Rathen stood holding the saber with his left hand keeping the right hand concealed in his jacket. Sighing as he faced off he kept glancing at the man's face and hair and shuddering.
"yeah right... like this is any less distracting then the psycho girl..."
He muttered to himself, waiting for the attack.

Gre'send hobbled down the street when his ears caught a sound, a sound made so frequently in his life time it seemed mundane, like the opening of a door. It was the struggle of two duelists in the lock of a saber fight. Old Wybrent shuffled towards the sound at the same pace as not to alert anyone-- if anyone say the light tunic under his robes he would immediately be spotted as a jedi knight. If struggle arose, he could not use his saber, for the color ore was familiar only to a jedi of virtue..

The slash seemed to be triple the strength of the man's wiry figure. "Boy, no blaster's" He said gruffly, as he stpped forward, letting the arc of his downward slash be just enough to slice open the young man's chest.

With that Rathen Pulled out his blaster and brought it directly upwards and into the path of the saber. There was a massive SPRZZAK! and the blaster blocked the saber with his gun, feeling his right arm almost drop his weapon with the force of the blow.
"besides who says I'm going to be shooting anything... My gun's a bit more special then your average grade zap cap..."
Holding his opponents saber above him with the gun he angled his saber in a stabbing motion right at the man's chest.

The man swirled his blade in a backstepping motion, knocking the blade aside. "Good, breaking the rules might get you far!" He lifted up his opposite hand, "But it may also get you knocked on your a**!" He pushed with the Force, with a large wave of energy.

Rathen met the wave of energy head on, crouching, so that he didn't get pushed backwards because of it. Standing, once the wave passed, he shrugged and shook his head.
"Very true, but as of yet I haven't seen anything that's all to impressive about you... sure your faster then me, and you can wield a light saber... but in all honesty, that’s not exactly what I'm looking for in a master..."
His eyes staring at the other man he spun the saber and looked at his gun.
"jeeze you chipped the surface... man that'll be a pain to repair... plus the material is hard to come by..."
Sighing Rathen tossed the saber the man gave him back and pulled out his own. Snapping the Saber on to the bottom end of his gun he activated it and the blade extended outwards, and Rathen spun tossed the gun high into the air.
"Now the real fight begins...."
Catching the blaster he charged forwards at the stranger bringing his saber slashing horizontally with a cleave that would spit the man in two if he didn't block.

The man barely blocked itwith a vertical oblique block and moved to the side by the sheer force of the attack. "Impressive, bnoith innovative and powerful, though you use a Valdera'an style of attack, similar to an ancient one I know the opposite of." The man activated the second lightsaber, and dropped, putting the other blade to pinser Rathen's blade.

With that Rathen turned off the saber with a quick flick of a button on the side of the blaster. With the saber off Rathen continued on his slash takeing a shot at the torso of his opponent on the way though. With the shot fired Rathen dived fowards and rolled away from him standing up and brushing himself off. He looked over his sholder at the man to see if the shot hit, even thought he knew that there was little chance.
"I doubt very much you have anything useful to teach me..."
