Despair listened as Schifo decided that they would stay there and fight until the AA Sniper was taken down, for good. Hearing this, as well as Schifo's little command for him to go down there and aid them in battle, Despair's mood was not the same. He seemed rather...annoyed by the Captain as well as the situation. He was so tempted to just strike down the captain and end this little mission. The killing intent radiating from Despair was becoming more and more obvious as he slowly walked down from the debris, with sword in hand and easily killing any undead that made its way towards him. Despair would end up landing right behind Electra, as she was busy fighting the Captain. "Captain, look around you. Your subordinates have been fighting nonstop since we got here, we have yet to rest and come to grip with our losses. Yet you continue to push them on, push them further. Sometimes it is best to flee, then to fight an unwinnable battle." Despair stated as he charged forwards at Electra from behind.
Texas peeked over the edge of their cover as he watched the AA Sniper search for them. "Umm..." he muttered to himself as he thought over Mirai's statement. We could maybe try and hit it where Cassie pulled out its plugs... he thought to her. No idea whether or not that will work
Meanwhile, both Cassie and April jumped back in shock as Lily manifested 9 tails, laying into the undead enemies and setting them ablaze. "What the-!?""How!?" Lily's tails made quick work of the remaining enemies, incinerating them until nothing was left but ash while Despair killed the few that remained. Meanwhile, Captain Schifo continued to fight Electra. "Don't mock me Guardsman!" Captain Schifo replied angrily before kicking Electra in the gut, sending her straight towards Despair. Electra turned and swiped at Despair with her blade, a heavy yet clumsy strike as seemed to be par for the course with these creatures. The AA Sniper's miniguns had lost track of Mirai and Texas. They searched for a moment longer before reacquiring new targets: Suddenly Lily, April and Cassie would be interrupted by a hail of red-tinged bullets that sprayed their area from the AA Sniper. "Ugh! Now that thing is shooting at us!" April yelled angrily. She and Cassie both shot back at the AA Sniper but neither their fire nor magnum rounds seemed to be penetrating the thick armor.
Hearing Schifo, Despair sighed once more, as the Captain would kick Electra in the gut and have her sent flying right towards him. Watching as the woman managed to turn and face him, Despair took his sword and easily blocked her strike. this would cause the two to clash their blades and the resulting force would knock the two of them back a few feet. "Captain, I truly am beginning to question your leadership skills here. Perhaps a talk with the Prince is in order when we return." Despair stated before running forwards and aiming a powerful sword strike at Electra's neck, attempting to decapitate her.

Mirai peaked around the building she was still hiding behind and stared at the Sniper a bit longer before shrugging "Worth a shot..."she replied. Multiple pieces of debris ranging in size lifted up behind the Sniper while it was busy shooting at the others and launched towards the plug outlets. She then jumped out of her hiding spot and began running, trying to get the Sniper's attention again since it seemed to turn its fire on the others.
Lily would glance at the two whom seemed to jump in shock when she caused herself to grow more tails as well as her soul going up, based on that it was lear her soul got tronger when she did this. "I am a kitsune...We can do things like this she stated bluntly, before a rain of bullets came down, some hitting and grazing her, before she would push her palm up causing her tails to all target the area right above her connecting all the nine tails together when they did they would all get pulled in different directions, when they did this Ice seemed to take the place of the empty space creating a barrier, it was light blue Ice. She hoped that this would hold off the bullets coming at her, and since the ice was stronger since she was in this form she felt more assured it would, but she wasn't sure. the same held true with how long she could hold this, she knew how o activate it ad shut it off but she had a limited time in this form. where the bullets Hit before she did the ice, they would begin to freeze over aiming to stall heal her as she couldn't heal with any of her abilities.
+ Weapon Creation: she can create weapons she owns(puts them in a sort of collection only to pull them out when needed) in total she only has the blood blade + Elemental force: she can harness 4 elements with the help of her sword Fire,Water, ice, and Air + Nine Tailed form: an extra form that She can tap into, she hasn't perfected it yet so she cant keep it up for long, but her abilities are much stronger making her a force to be reckoned with. she is able to manipulate her tails to the point to being able to grab things and attack with them as well as defend. + Enhanced speed + Anti-Madness manipulation: much like Madness it can take its own form, but because she has this she is immune to madness, she can take damage from attacks from madness but she can't be infected, this element is strong against madness users and Black blood users for some reason, she can also add it to her own weapons or limbs, +(unknown) +(unknown) +(unknown)

Despair's strike decapitated Electra easily, causing her body to stumble around for a few moments before collapsing to the ground for good. Captain Schifo lowered his weapon as he glared at Despair. "Thank you for your input, Guardsman," Captain Schifo replied, emphasizing his title. "Feel free to tell them whatever you want. That's part of your job, isn't it?" He was clearly being sarcastic with Despair, but he was still careful not to outright insult him as he still believed that Despair was a Royal Guard. It was obvious Despair was starting to get to him though.
Texas watched as the miniguns turned on Lily and the others. Lily seemed to have formed a barrier that was protecting them at the moment which gave Mirai the perfect opportunity. The debris shot straight through the open panel on the back and into the interior of the machine, wreaking havoc on its internal systems. April was still watching Lily in awe of her suddenly pulling out nine tails before Cassie snapped her back to reality. "April, you can use ice barriers too right!? Help her!" April quickly looked at Lily's ice barrier that was starting to show cracks. "Ah, yeah I getcha!" She replied. Although Lily was certainly strong in her form, the AA Sniper was designed to take out large aircraft and had a great deal of power behind it. On top of this whatever had happened to bring it back to life had increased its power exponentially. April focused and added her power to Lily's, doing her best to patch up the cracks in Lily's ice shield with her own ice.
Suddenly the miniguns on the AA Sniper began sparking and sputtering. It seemed Mirai's debris had finally started to affect it. After several more seconds the guns stopped firing, smoke rising from them as they slowly spun to a stop. "That did it!" Texas cheered. "Great job Mi - Mary!" April let out a sigh of relief as the bullets stopped hitting their ice shield. "About time," she breathed. Unfortunately, the maverick Sniper wasn't done. The entire top section of the giant gun swung to face the Machinist / DWMA team. The core that fueled the main gun glowed bright red as the main gun charged up to fire. "Wha-!? Look out! A hit from this range will blow us all to kingdom come!" Cassie yelled. "Lily! That ice shield isn't gonna be enough!" she told the Kitsune, calling her by her name for the first time.
Just as the gun was about to fire a bright green streak of artificial resonance force cut across the battle field, slamming straight into the core. It was Lieutenant Kiea. She braced herself against the core of the weapon, her long, thin katana piercing all the way through it. The AA Sniper shook violently as several internal explosions caused it to burst into flames. Lieutenant Kiea had stalled the firing mechanism but it was still attempting to charge. The only thing blocking it from firing was her katana in the core of the weapon. "Kiea! Get away from that thing! It's going to explode!" Captain Schifo yelled to her, realizing the weapon's core was beginning to meltdown. Lieutenant Kiea didn't move. "No can do Capt'n!" She yelled back, her child-like voice still audible over the charging of the gun. "If I let go now it'll fire and you'll all be toast!" Captain Schifo grit his teeth as he realized the truth of her statement, but as strong as Lieutenant Kiea was there was no way she would survive an explosion like that. "No...please....Kiea..." April pleaded, having already lost her brother so recently in the same way. "Not you too..." Hearing April Lieutenant Kiea grit her teeth and squeezed her eyes tightly shut. "I'M SORRY APRIL!!" She yelled as the core began to detonate.
Decision: (Mirai Only)
The core is a mere second away from detonating, and there is no way Lieutenant Kiea will survive the resulting explosion. However, it is possible for Mirai to teleport to her and then away with her just before the detonation thus saving her life. But teleportation is still beyond the known capabilities of Machinist technology and using it so openly would be certain to raise suspicions...
1. Intervene to teleport Lieutenant Kiea away from the explosion Adds 3 Suspicion Points
2. Don't do anything Adds 0 Suspicion Points, but Lieutenant Kiea will die
With Electra dealt with, Despair's eyes would meet Schifo's as the Captain would say some rather amusing things, regarding Despair's title and job. It was clear that his words were beginning to affect the young Captain. "Well, Captain, it seems that the Prince was wise to have me stay on with you and the others. You're not fit to lead this mission, if you ignore the state of your men." Despair added, however, his words would seem to come in play as, in a desperate attempt to save them all from the gun, Lieutenant Kiea, would offer herself up as a sacrifice to stop the gun from firing, but her life would end in the resulting explosion that would occur. Watching this, Despair's eyes darted around towards one of the two people here that would be fast enough to save the young girl. One would be him, with his abilities, Despair could easily save the girl, but there was no way he would do that, the other person was the only other teleporter there, Mirai. With a blank expression on his face, Despair had already knew what the girl would do. "Captain, I suggest that we leave the area immediately. The resulting explosion might do us some harm as well."

Mirai sighed in relief as the attack did something and the Sniper stopped working... at least for a short while. Her eyes widened as the weapon came to life then and seemed ready to hit them with one hell of an attack. Mirai's eyes widened then as Lieutenant Kiea managed to slam her katana into the core of the weapon to prevent if from basically killing them. She tried. She really did. Seeing how many teammates they had left as well as the reaction April seemed to have about her comrade wanting to sacrifice herself... Mirai's legs began moving on their own as she sprinted towards the gun and in a blink of an eye, disappeared. She appeared by Kiea then, grabbing her and teleporting less than a second or two before the whole thing went off. Mirai and Kiea appeared far enough away from the weapon to avoid being harmed by the explosion though they both landed on the ground with a thud. Mirai let go then, panting hard as she tried to catch her breath. "Watch... yourself... teammates are a bit hard to find at the moment..." she managed to say between breaths, trying to blow what she had just done under the rug. Inside she was loathing herself though.
Lily would keep up her barrier getting some help by April as she patched the holes. she would soon get Cassie to yell at her saying her name which was strange "I know...but i can't do much more than this...just this form takes most of my focus" she muttered her eyes went to the gun as it was about to fire only to see Kiea attempt to stop it, though within a blink of an eye she was gone right before everything went into an explosion. When the gun stopped her tails would fade away, only for her to fall onto one of her knees. taking deep breathes "I...need to work on that form" she stated abit out of breathe.

Captain Schifo was about to answer Despair when the AA Sniper exploded, sending debris in every direction. He glanced over at Lily, April and Cassie who were behind Lily's ice shield. Texas was no where to be found so he was presumably behind cover and Mirai and Kiea were a safe distance away. "I appreciate your concern," he began, looking back at Despair. Without taking his eyes off the man Captain Schifo held out his sword, whipping it to the side to deflect a piece or debris that was about to hit him. "But I'll be fine." There was silence on the battlefield as the explosion died down and Lily transformed back into her normal form. "So the "Prince" sent you to babysit me, huh?" Captain Schifo asked Despair rhetorically as he narrowed his eyes. "Why am I not surprised? Nevertheless this is a Machinist military mission, not a playground for the Gene Children. When we return, tell them that." His voice had an edge to it now as he continued to argue with Despair.
Meanwhile, Texas looked over to where Mirai had been only to see that she was not longer there. "What the-!? Oh." he realized what Mirai had done before he even peeked over the barrier. It seemed both her and Lieutenant Kiea were alive and well. Their cover? Maybe not so much. Texas stood up and hopped over the barrier to where Mirai and the Lieutenant were, giving Mirai a supportive smile. Lieutenant Kiea was still clenching her teeth and eyes shut, holding tightly to her thin katana despite the fact that it was not longer lodged in anything. She first opened one eye and then the other, looking at Mirai in slight confusion. "Mary...? Where....am I dead??" Suddenly she jumped up, pointing at Mirai as she hopped backwards. "I knew it! You're not one of us at all! You're an angel!" Captain Schifo looked over at the Lieutenant, momentarily distracted by her proclamation. "You're not dead Lieutenant, thanks to Ms. Weinbaum here." Lieutenant Kiea looked over at Captain Schifo. "Oh. It can't be Heaven. You're here.""What's that supposed to mean!?""Oh, err...nothing!" She quickly looked back at Mirai. "You saved me?" She asked, still not exactly clear on what had happened. Captain Schifo answered for Mirai. "She did. She moved....very quickly to save you at the last second....thank you Ms. Weinbaum," he said, his voice full of suspicion. "Yes! Thank you Ms. Weinbaum!" Lieutenant Kiea repeated with absolutely no suspicion. Cassie was looking at Mirai strangely but she didn't comment.
Lieutenant Kiea didn't have time to say another word before April rushed up and grabbed her, pulling her into a tight hug. "Kiea!" She said, her voice filled with relief. "Stofff Apriffl I can't breaffffe," Lieutenant Kiea complained, her voice muffled by April's chest. After a few more seconds April let go of Lieutenant Kiea. The two smiled at each other for a moment, happy to see each other once again alive and in one piece.
Meanwhile, Cassie walked over to Lily and knelt down slightly, lightly putting a hand on Lily's shoulder. "You did well...." she admitted to Lily. "And the ninetails? That was impressive. I didn't think you had that in you."
Captain Schifo kept his eyes locked with Despair for a moment before looking over at Lieutenant Kiea. "Lieutenant, report!" He told her sharply. Lieutenant Kiea jumped and quickly snapped a salute. "Yessir sorry!" She replied. "What's the situation?" Captain Schifo asked her. "Did you run into anyone else in the Command Staff?" Lieutenant Kiea quickly nodded. "Yessir! I was just with Captain Otoya about 15 minutes ago. We split up when a building collapsed in between us." Lieutenant Kiea paused for a moment, looking over at a ruined section of plating on the AA Sniper with the Wehrmacht symbol and logo crudely painted over the original Machinist symbol. "Uh...what was that anyway?" She read the logo out loud. "What's this? "We're coming for you"? What does that mean?" She asked. "And who are the "Wehrmacht? I've never heard of them." Captain schifo shook his head. "No idea, but they don't like us," he told her. "But we have other priorities at the moment. We need to find Captain Otoya if he's still around here. Do you have a way to contact him?" Lieutenant Kiea nodded. "Kinda! He has a flare gun and he said he'd use it if he were in trouble." Literally no sooner had Lieutenant Kiea said this than a bright red flare rose into the air from somewhere on the ground, its bright red light hovering for a few moments before suddenly fading. "I guess that means we have our next destination," Captain Schifo confirmed. He then looked back at Despair. "If you don't like the way I'm doing things, feel free to report it to the Gene Children, or a talk show, or Santa Claus or whoever else you want to," he told him. "But this mission needs to be done. No matter the cost."

Mirai said nothing to the others let alone look at any of them. She just stood up and dusted herself off. This was difficult... it really was. These were the people that wanted her and her family dead. You would have thought that would have given her a valid reason to sit by and eat popcorn while they died one by one. Still... Her gaze slowly shifted to April and Kiea as they had a nice little reunion. She smiled slightly at them before doing her best to focus on the task at hand. The way their group had looked at her though felt like a gigantic weight hovering right above her head waiting to crash down on her any second. Mirai glanced over at the red flare that had appeared... Great, more fighting and that meant more potential ways Mirai could give them away. She might as well grab a marker and put her name on her forehead at this point.

Just as the Prince and others had suspected, Captain Schifo and his little band of soldiers, clearly didn't see eye to eye with them. There was no hint of respect in the Captain's voice. Knowing that if he said anything else, it would only promote more arguing, Despair decided to let Schifo have this one and simply nod. "I suppose that, that is an order, right, Captain?" he asked, sarcastically. However, just like Captain Schifo, Despair too, would look over towards Mirai and the others as Lieutenant Kiea spoke. It was painfully clear that Mirai's little stunt got the Captain suspicious of her. Despair couldn't help but to sigh as yet again, it appeared that he was the only one taking their little mission seriously. As soon as Lieutenant Kiea gave her report, Despair found himself confronted by Captain Schifo once more. "No matter the cost, huh? Funny, your men have already been dwindled down significantly and if it were not for Mary over there, you would have lost yet another one, but the lives of your men are nothing, compared to the mission, right?" Despair stating before laughing and walking away towards the back of the group, "You sound almost like one of those DWMA guys, that you hate so very much. I guess you and those guys have a lot in common after all." he added.
Lily looked at Cassie "neither did I...I don't know how much more fighting i can do though...it runs through my energy too fast..." she stated as she stabbed her sword into the ground using it to stand up "so...are we any closer to finishing this?" she asked "because I don't know what else we could do here..." she muttered "besides...finding out what caused this witch magic". Other than that she remained quiet, she already was on the bad side of the captain and he was getting more and more suspicious of them which made it harder to do anything.

[[Hey guys, I'm gonna try to condense this a little bit so we can reach the end of the mission. I hope you guys are looking forward to how this is going to be resolved! (It's up to you guys btw so good luck!)]]

Captain Schifo glared at Despair, anger written all over his face but he didn't reply when Despair sarcastically asked him if he was giving an order. He knew he couldn't give Royal Guardsmen orders. When Despair drew his attention to Mirai he looked over at her. Now that the fighting had died down the others were beginning to notice that Despair and Captain Schifo were having an argument. Despair's latest comment had clearly infuriated Captain Schifo. He was having trouble keeping it together. "We all do what we need to do to ensure the success of the mission," he growled through clenched teeth. "To suggest that we prioritize our survival over the success of an important mission like this is an insult." With that he spun on his heel and began walking towards the flare that still hung in the air like a silent glowing star. The others fell in silently behind him, intimidated by the argument between their superiors.
Texas angrily sent Despair a telepathic message. Despair, what the Hell do you think you're doing!? he asked angrily. Are you TRYING to blow this mission up!?? He looked over at Mirai and fell in beside her. He could tell that the others were getting more and more suspicious and that that was worrying her.
Cassie glanced at Lily as they walked. "It looks like the mission is a bust, but Captain Schifo isn't going to leave anyone behind. With the AA Sniper down and our ship fixed we should be able to leave at any time. We just need to find Otoya, Betsy, Cross and Laurell." She paused. "As for the witchcraft..." she trailed off. "That's somethin' we'll need to report," April finished. "Never seen the like before." Just then gunshots sounded in the distance, coming from the direction of the flare. "Oh no! Otoya must be in trouble!" Lieutenant Kiea said.
The group quickly followed a ruined highway until they reached a partially-collapsed overpass where the gunshots were coming from. It didn't take them long to find Captain Otoya. He was surrounded by a pack of savage looking dogs. The dogs were covering in what looked like shoddy steel armor with the same Wehrmacht logo crudely spray-painted onto the sides. Captain Otoya was on a slightly elevated steel rebar shooting down at the dogs with his sidearm, his sword in his other hand. Each shot took down one of the dogs but there appeared to be quite a few of them. The dogs were covered in ugly looking scars and frothed at the mouth as they attacked, showing no sign of self-preservation in their actions. "Those look like our tracker hounds but...what the heck happened to them...?" Captain Schifo muttered, pausing momentarily. Cassie pointed out the Wehrmacht logo on their sides. "That again. Must be the work of the same guys. Considering what we just saw, I wouldn't put it past them to mutilate our dogs..." Captain Schifo nodded. "These sick scumbags have a lot to answer for." He looked back at the rest of them. "There's a lot of them but they're just animals. Take them out!" He ordered before drawing his blade and moving in to engage the enemy. Cassie, Lieutenant Kiea and April followed suit, Cassie opening up with her magnums while April shot flames. Lieutenant Kiea and Captain Schifo waded into the pack with their swords, cutting down dog after dog as they made their way towards Captain Otoya. Texas turned his arm into a flamethrower and began blazing away at any dog that came too close, burning them to ashes as they tried to back away.
Watching as Captain Schifo made his decision and began heading off towards the flare, Despair stood there, frowning. "Then I look forwards to see who else will die because of your foolishness." he stated out loud for all to hear. Just then, Texas' voice would enter into his head. Clearly the boy wasn't too thrilled about him confronting Captain Schifo, worrying about the mission being jeopardized. "Funny, I could say the same thing about that emotion driven partner of yours. Who has managed to nearly blow this mission and not risk her life, but mine as well, just for the sake of a mere handful of lives. So, if you're upset then I suggest you focus that anger towards her, boy. Or is it that you're so blinded by your love, that you'll just turn a blind eye to her? So, here's my one and only warning to you: Speak to me like that again and not only will this mission blow up, but I will see to it that you go as well." this brief interaction would be heard by all those connected through Mirai's telekinesis, meaning both Mirai and Lily would hear the two and no one else. With that said, Despair, along with the others would follow behind Schifo. Once they located Captain Otoya, everyone immediately went into action to take care of the hounds. Everyone except for Despair, that is. While everyone fought, he would be seen resting on top of a pile of debris. While he didn't need to rest at all, Despair took this time to fully gauge what he was working with. A rag tag group of machinists that looks like they could be killed at anytime. A two hybrids, one who lets her emotions influence her easily and the other? A rather dull and brash kitsune. Then there's the former machinist turned dwma weapon, Texas, who thinks he's important or strong, both of which were false. Despair was beginning to consider taking the prince up on his offer, maybe that would end this boring little mission, or maybe he should just give up and reveal their identities.
