With his disturbing revelation, Flurry began searching for male spirits. But everywhere he looked it was girl ghosts! That paper lantern was just attracting whatever it wanted! And it wasn't like he could just ignore all of the ghosts coming up anyways, so he used shadow claw on a female misdrevous despite himself.

As Flurry took down a drifloon with shadow claw, Arezu found herself face to face with the girl she'd fought (and soundly defeated) earlier. "I told the Ghost Enthusiest's Society aaalll about what you're doing here! YOU CAN'T KEEP THE PRETTIES FOR YOURSELF!"

Arezu noticed that the girl had brought a shady boy with her and groaned. "There's more of you coming, aren't there?" The girl snickered. "For the love of- Flurry! Finish up over there!" Flurry defeated his opponent, a shuppet, with a shadow claw before bounding over. "Good luck," Arezu mumbled to the ghost weirdos.

If the guy's paling skin was anything to go by, he'd figured out the trick to hurting Flurry and realized...his team of ghosts didn't stand a chance. Flurry was happy to help by kicking some butt, enjoying the chance to really practice with his wisps.

Arezu did a quick swap out of Flurry to get rid of the deadly ghost typing, and watched the hope fade from the boy's eyes. After that it was a quick one-two knockout of his two remaining haunter. "You haven't seen the last of us!" They yelled, retreating backwards.

Sham clawed at the ground, shifting from foot to foot as Flurry crushed a duskull with his fangs. This wasn't right, Flurry was acting weird. Sham ran off to find Suicune and Shiisa.

Flurry finished sinking his claws into a shuppet and perked up, ears swiveled towards the water path. He bounded off, startling Arezu. "Flurry where are you going!?"

Flurry exorcised a Shuppet that was in his way and continued racing forward, the voices he'd heard becoming clearer now. "No, no, there's nothing we can do. That thing is just stupid strong against our ghosts. We have to give up."
As the humans began to turn back to the main island, Flurry crested a hill and leaped, thudding to the ground between them and the fair. The girl shrieked and the two boys with her shook with fear. "Wh- wh- ...""Wisssss..." Flurry growled. He knew they had ghosts. He would exorcise every last one of them. He took a threatening step towards the humans. The biggest one cried out and threw a pokeball in self defense.
The pokemon that popped out was a Gengar (lvl 51). With no guidance from its trainer, it tried attacking with shadow balls and dark pulse. As its attacks continued to do nothing while Flurry advanced, using exorcism again and again, the Gengar began to shake with fear. It could feel its energy being sucked away. Flurry finished it off, practically glowing with pride even as he growled for the humans to give him more.

The boy released another pokemon before curling further back into his friends, whimpering as he heard the Wispard sucking away his pokemon's life force. "St-stop...w-we're sorry, we wont b-bother you -hic- again s-so..." Flurry used Exorcism again and again on the (lvl 43) Mismagious that had no way to defend itself. If its owner had taught it power gem, it might have stood a chance, but with mystical fire and ghost and psychic moves, it could do nothing.

"Papa! Big sis! Flurry's acting weird!" Sham burst out before he'd even skidded to a stop. Suicune shoved the Draco Plate he had just found in his mane and lifted Sham by the scruff, throwing him atop his back. They raced off, Sham clinging to Suicune's horn with Shiisa bounding along beside them.
Meanwhile, Flurry had taken to smacking the boy's pokeballs open himself. The Chandelure (lv 43) never knew what hit it as it tried unsuccessfully to fight of Flurry with flame burst and shadow ball even as it felt itself slipping away from exorcism. The Haunter (lv 35) also didn't stand a chance, not managing to land a scratch no matter how many night shades or licks it used, while Flurry hit for super effective damage each and every time.

Flurry finished off the trainer's pitiful Yamask (lv 35) and Cofagrigus (lv 35) easily. Like the last pokemon, they simply quivered behind their useless attacks as Flurry activated exorcism again and again.
