I climbed I slipped I fell but at least I tried

Mirai smiled at Texas "We will be," she replied before closing her eyes. Then she felt it. Her eyes opened and she glanced at the ceiling, her wavelength raising slightly and her eyes glowed as she stared at the ceiling silently, waiting, listening. After a few moments, her wavelength went back to normal and she sighed deeply, the glow in her eyes dimming as well.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas's eyes opened quickly as he felt her wavelength rise slightly. He watched her stare up at the ceiling and her eyes glowed. When she turned back to normal and sighed, a worried expression came over his face. "What was that? Are you okay?" He asked, concern in his voice. And I just want to show them.

Mirai closed her eyes "It's fine... my little brother just thought it would be a good idea to launch her wavelength all throughout the Netherworld," she said. "For a split second it made it felt like he was here but he isn't. Not like he could get in here anyway," she said as her body relaxed again.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas raised an eyebrow. "A little brother trying to annoy you, imagine that," he replied. He gave it a shrug. "Can't do anything about it I guess," He replied. He was mostly trying to seem indifferent about it to try and help Mirai not get worried about it. And I just want to show them.

Mirai smiled at Texas, knowing he was trying to make sure she didn't get worked up about it. She kept her eyes closed and went back to focusing one her time together with Texas "I'll deal with him when the time comes..."

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas smiled. We'll deal with him when the time comes," he assured her, glad that she seemed to be okay. He kissed her on the forehead before he looked back up at the ceiling. They would. He understood why Vincent was angry, but he wasn't about to let him hurt Mirai. And I just want to show them.

Mirai opened her eyes and looked up at Texas, smiling and nodding in agreement "Yes. We will," she replied. She put on arm around him and closed her eyes once more. She needed to rest and get her energy back. Despite being a bit better, she was still very weak.

Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas closed his eyes as well. He was extremely tired. And they really did need to get some sleep. He held Mirai close as he began to drift off, his dreams lighter now that he could focus on the present. And I just want to show them.

Mirai eventually drifted off as well. Like Texas her dreams were a lot better than earlier.
A few hours later, Mirai woke up. She looked a lot better now, the rings under her eyes were basically gone since she had gotten a fair amount of sleep. She turned slightly and stared up at the ceiling, thinking to herself about a bunch of different things.

Mirai stared back at SC for a moment, processing the fact that she was here. "Hi... might I ask why you are here? I would have thought you would be wandering around Death City or something since you are no longer stuck in the Machinists Headquarters," she asked.

Despite the fact that SC was speaking in a normal voice, Texas still appeared to be dead asleep.
