"Huh? oh, sorry! you ok?" now that Dale mentioned it, he looked bad. was the kid ok? "i'm really sorry, i'm a bit outspoken, if you didn't notice."

Sarad sat up and smiled,, "i'm fine. it wasn't your fault." he gave Dale a little nod to show it really was ok and held out his hand, "I'm Sarad, by the way. nice to meet you-"

"Tami," she shook his hand and leaned back, "man, that's too bad, though. you'd make all the girls on the team happy if you joined, and some of the boys too." she winked, "but i guess it can't be helped. maybe you could be our manager, our old one is quitting soon. she said her homework's been too much for her to keep up. makes sense, she's taking way too many courses!" Tami shook her head, "cooking club, huh? trying to get the girls by cooking, huh?"

Sarad blushed, "not at all! i just-enjoy it. Dale is willing to try my food, so i am grateful."

Tami blinked a few times before looking at Dale, "lucky b*****d. trade roommates with me."

Sarad smiled, "besides, a boy and girl can't live together."

Tami stared at Sarad for a second before she started laughing, "aren't you logical." her attention was drawn to Dale and she laughed, "Yeah, Ash is like that. she's got a thing for legs," she shrugged, "one time i woke up with her rubbing mine like they were made of gold. i told her it's cool so long as she asks first." Tami rolled her eyes, "but i'm going to need to talk to her if she is doing it in public again."

Tami smirked, "She espeically likes smooth legs. You still shave yours, don't you, dale?"

Sarad looked up from where he was finishing his breakfast, "You do?" he hadn't really noticed, it just didn't seem important. that and he didn't see Dale's legs very often. "why do you shave them? i thought girls were the only ones...well, western ones."

Tami nodded, "you still need to tell me what scrub you use. no fair keeping it to yourself!" she pouted a little, but laughed it off quickly enough.

"Tami!"

she looked back as her name was called and waved at the group that had walked in, "welp, it was fun meeting you, but i had something i needed to ask Rach." she stood and took her tray with her, "later!"

Sarad sighed when she left, "that woman's a whirlwind!" he finished his coffee and lifted an eyebrow at Dale, "so why are you so obsessed with smooth legs?"

"Oh, that makes sense," sarad gathered his dishes onto his plate and stood up, "i'm going back up to the room, need to lay down for a bit." he was still hurting from Tami's smack, "what are your plans?" Sarad just wanted to lay down on his stomach and rest. it was too soon to take another pill, so he would just have to live through it for now.

Sarad nodded, "Sounds good to me." he had slept well, when his dreams weren't disturbed by nightmares, but he was feeling tired all the same. it was probably because his body was using all of it's energy to heal. "at least we can try to." he dropped off his own dishes and walked with Dale to their room, waving back at Tami when she waved to them as they left. "she seems nice, are all of the people on the team like that?"

Sarad shook his head as he walked up the stairs, "i can't, it hasn't been long enough since i took the last dose. thank you, though." they arrived at their room and he walked straight to his bed, laying down face first. "She really did hit me hard, what did i do to deserve that?" he muttered into his pillow before turning his head to talk to Dale. "that quiet, huh? it's going to be hard on him when he gets out of school. he'll have to work doing something where he's alone all the time, or he'll have to learn how to speak up. poor kid." he closed his eyes, "it's not easy changing who you are to fit the rest of the world."
