Leo gave a small smile in response, glad Ash listened to him and feeling better about the whole situation. "She's still sleeping. I guess if she had've been there a little longer she would have died. Her mom says thank you." he said happily as he sat up on the bed and swung his feet at the edge. Leo tried his hardest to talk about positive things but even he was starting to get a little depressed at the thought of where they would end up. "What's going to happen to us brother?" he asked softly, hoping they wouldn't have to be placed in shelters with Leo in foster care.

Well, now that Leo brought it up, Asher couldn't think to avoid it. "I don't know, Leo. If we're lucky, my boss and the landlord will cut us some slack or maybe someone will help us out," he said, staring up at the ceiling now. "I just hope we don't get separated. Even if we end up being homeless, we can just find another place and I can get another job. It should be fine as long as we stay together, right?" The door swinging open alerted Asher and he saw two rather familiar faces peer in. It looked like Samuel and his sister had come to visit. "Yo! We just saw the news and came here to see if you're okay," the male twin explained as he walked in. Sasha carried some flowers and a "Get Well Soon" card with her.

Leo agreed with his brother but he was still worried about where they would end up. He jumped a bit when the door opened so suddenly but he was glad to hear familiar voices. "Samuel, is that you? Is Sasha with you too?" he asked rather hopefully, he looked forward to seeing Sasha since she was also impaired like Leo was, although it did make communication difficult.

To answer Leo's question, Sasha grabbed his hand and started shaking it and writing the word "Hi!" into his arm. She then grabbed Asher's hand and was shaking that, handing Leo the flowers and card that she had brought. Samuel chuckled at his sister's antics. "She's the one who insisted we come here. Chase and Cherry will be here soon, but I think they're trying to invade the newscaster recordings right now," he said, leaning against the wall. "You two have guts for going into an abandoned hotel like that. I'm glad to see you're alive, though, and you actually saved some lives. That's pretty cool."

Leo could have started crying again when he felt her draw on his arm, it felt like such a long time since he talked with both of them. He smiled at her and accepted the flowers. "Thank you." he said softly, smelling the nice aroma although he wasn't able to figure out what kind they were. He handed the bouquet to his brother so he could smell them too, placing the card in his lap to read if he wanted. "You must have been pretty worried about us if you dragged your brother here." he said to Sasha, his cheeks blushing a little.

Sasha nodded enthusiastically and drew some more letters into Leo's arm. "That's what good neighbors are for, yes?" she wrote and waited for the boy's reply. She examined him intently, searching for any injuries and then finding none. Her attention then went to Asher and she looked him over as well, though she didn't see anything too obvious. Samuel had to whistle when he looked out the window, seeing a huge crowd of a mix of supporters and news people. "So, how long do you have to stay here?" he asked, rather curious and partly concerned.

Leo was actually quite surprised he could understand what she was saying just by letters being drawn on his arm. He couldn't quite make out every word but he could understand 'good' and 'neighbor'. Leo smiled and reached out in front of him to pat her on the head. "Yes you are a good neighbor." he said with a small smile before turning his attention to her older brother. "Well...Ash hurt his back really badly, he was coughing up blood at the crime scene. The doctors said it's going to take a few months for his back to get better." he said softly, still feeling bad for how things turned out. "I just....don't know what were going to do to keep our house...." he mumbled.

"Huh? Shouldn't the landlord give you some slack or something?" Samuel asked, shocked about what he just heard. "I mean, Asher's been hospitalized and he's the only one who can work!" "Landowners have to make money, you know," Asher said, crossing his arms. "I guess the only chance I have is if my boss is kind enough to give me some kind of paid leave. To do that, I'm going to have to get records, tell the boss, other stuff, it's a long process. The boss is very impatient and I have a feeling he has no qualms in firing me if I get even another day off." He wouldn't have minded calling the boss if he hadn't been so annoyed yesterday, when he had asked for another day off.

The more Leo thought about it, the more worried he grew. "If there was an easy job for me to do that would pay the same as what Asher was being paid I'd do it but it's even more difficult for a blind person to get a job." he said softly as he hopped off the bed, his stomach grumbling a little. "I'm gonna go ask a nurse if they can bring in some food or maybe point to a vending machine." he said as he located the bag with his brother's clothes in it located conveniently next to Asher's bed. "I won't spend too much." he assured, digging out Asher's wallet and gently touching Sasha's arm so she could read his lips. "Lets go grab something to eat." he said with a gentle smile.

Sasha clapped her hands and left the room with Leo, reading the signs for directions to the cafeteria. She did pause just once, though. "Maybe you two can stay with us if the landlord evicts you," she offered, writing the letters slowly into the boy's arm so he could understand them clearly. "As for a job, don't you know disabled people can get any job they want? What are you good at?"

Leo tried his best to read the words that were being drawn on his arm but he didn't quite understand. "Live with you....we couldn't do that. There are already so many people living in your apartment as it is. They're not very big apartments you know." he said softly but he was glad she offered it to them. He couldn't make out the last sentence except for the last few words. "W-well......I'm not sure what I like to do. I haven't really done any of the thing I used to like....but I suppose I could find some new things." Leo wasn't even sure what he was good at, without his eyesight there wasn't many things he did well. About halfway to the cafeteria Leo had realized that he had been walking around without the bandage around his head since last night, what was even more surprising was that Sasha didn't seem to mind the way his eyes looked. He looked over at her and pointed to his eyes. "You haven't said anything about the way my eyes look..." he said simply.

Sasha had been rather disappointed when Leo turned down her offer, but she understood where he was coming from. "Well, maybe we can help pay the rent for you while your brother is out of commission. You can pay us back when we think of something," she suggested, though she expected the boy to turn down that as well. She actually kinda hoped he would accept their help at least for that. She was a bit surprised when Leo pointed out something about her not saying anything about his eyes. "Was I supposed to?" she asked, tilting her head. "Your eyes aren't all that bad. I've seen worse, and I think it's kinda stupid to comment about how your eyes look. I'm not a doctor, so I have no right to comment." She figured that would be too much to write, so she spoke that last bit. Of course since she never heard, she didn't know how she sounded to him.

Leo wasn't sure what she wrote on his arm and didn't really respond verbally, but rather gave her a smile. He continued to walk after he mentioned to her about his eyes but stopped as he heard an unfamiliar voice. It sounded odd, but feminine. He looked down at Sasha in surprise and placed his hand on her throat. "Was that you who spoke?" he asked curiously, unsure if it was indeed her or someone else nearby.

Sasha could tell that Leo couldn't really understand what she had written. It looks like they would have to work on that. When he had asked if she spoke, she nodded. "Does it sound weird?" she asked. "This is the first time in a long time that I spoke. Does it sound weird?" It was times like these that she wished she could hear her voice and judge for herself if it sounded strange, but for now it would have to do. She needed to communicate with Leo in such a way that he could understand her.

Leo felt her throat vibrate when she spoke again and couldn't help but smile a little. "No....it doesn't sound weird at all." he said softly, glad that she could speak, seeing as it was getting more difficult to decipher what she was writing on his arm. "Come on, we're almost at the cafeteria." he said as he started smelling food coming from in front of them. It was a faint smell but Leo had a good nose.
