"You mean during the fight for Death City?" He asked. "Well, I kinda found a street full of demons and started fighting." He didn't know any other way to put it. "I guess once I got into it things just kept happening so fast and before I knew it they were all dead. That's when I felt Divine die. I could feel a lot of crazy stuff happening so I went to see what was up. That's when I saw Herald coming to attack you and I blocked it." He gave a grin at this last part, proud of his brief triumph over the mighty Herald. "Why was he trying to kill you anyway?" He asked her curiously.
And I just want to show them.

Mirai made a face then "Herald was mad that I killed Divine instead of him... So now he wants to kill me and brother wants to kill him and Emma..." she explained with a sigh. She looked back up then and smiled "Anyway, you were able to take out some of the demons there? That is pretty cool." she said.
Texas nodded and grinned. "Yeah, it was pretty awesome!" He agreed. His grin left after a moment. "So I guess that's one more thing he hates you for now, huh?" He asked her rhetorically. "Guess he'll just have to get over it then, cause he's not gonna kill you. I hope...." He was about to say that he hoped Atticus beat up Herald good, but remembered that Atticus had insulted him profusely and threatened to kill him back at the tent. It seemed like it would be bad no matter who won. In Texas's opinion anyway. "I hope everyone comes to their senses," He said finally, not believing that was too likely.
And I just want to show them.

Mirai glanced towards the ground, only nodding in response. She had caused a bigger hole in the group. She had recalled wanting to create a team with her, Texas, Herald and Emma but now that definitely wasn't happening. Her gaze went to her black stained clothes, staring down at them quietly.
Texas looked down at Mirai's blackened clothing, just noticing it for the first time. "What happened?" He asked her a little worriedly. "Was that from regular battle or....something else?" He wasn't sure what Mirai had gone through when she killed her father but it was definitely possible that something strange had happened.
And I just want to show them.

Mirai shrugged "Father got infected with black blood and was going to die a very painful death... That is why I killed him. I guess I got the black blood all over my clothes..." she said with a small sigh.
As he made his way towards the Valley, Atticus would not know that Mirai and Texas was there. In fact he would be oblivious to anything, except the falls. Making his way to one of the more secluded areas, Atticus removed his jacket and used it as a pillow, laying close the small pool of water that came from the waterfall. There, Atticus would stare up at the sky, thinking about everything that had happened.
"Oh..." replied Texas, looking at the black stains. "We should...probably get those off you..." Texas said, worried that the black stains were keeping Mirai occupied with her father's death. He looked up quickly as he felt Atticus's presence, but then looked back down at Mirai, unsure what to say to him if anything.
Mirai made a face "That sounded a bit odd..." she said before taking off her jacket which had a majority of the black blood. She teleported it away then before glancing to the side when she felt Atticus' wavelength. Her father mentioned that his soul was beginning to be infected by madness but it seemed better now. She looked towards Texas "You can come with... I am going to see if he is alright." she said with a smile. She turned and went to go where Atticus was, hoping Texas would follow. Once she saw Atticus, she stopped when it seemed like he wanted to be alone.
While he had been deep in thought, Atticus would hear the sounds of footsteps coming his way, but they would stop suddenly. Not really sure who it was, Atticus closed his eyes and tried to sense the soul wavelength of the person. Through this, he was able to see that it was Mirai, with Texas not too far behind. Opening his eyes, Atticus chose not to approach her and just stay there. "Come if you want." he called out to her.
Atticus continued to stare up at the sky, "I'm doing fine." he responded. After spending so much time sulking and being so negative, Atticus had finally found inner peace and faith in himself and his friends. "How about you?" he asked. "Are you alright? I know that you must have been feeling so much worse than I was."
Mirai smiled slightly "I am doing alright... Had some time to myself so I have been able to sort things out." she said. She wasn't sure if it was a good idea to say that she talked to Divine. With that she decided to keep that part quiet.

Spreader of Despair
Some men just want to see the world burn...
"Huh?" Asked Texas, not sure what Mirai meant when she said it sounded odd. He shrugged when she said she wanted to go talk to Atticus and slowly followed her, making sure to keep some distance between Atticus and himself. The last thing he wanted was more trouble.
Atticus would smile, "So, it seems like we both just needed some time for ourselves." he stated as he let out a small laugh. "Mirai, I've come to a sudden decision about my future together with you, Charlotte, Shira and everyone else." Atticus announced. "I am going to devote my life to doing good and atoning for the sins of Divine." Atticus would then sense Texas' presence as well, but he chose not to say anything to the boy.
