Devin chuckled as the other clung to him like that and settled down one arm draped around his waist a he snuggled under the covers and settled down to sleep "Yeah, yeah its just me, go back to sleep" He whispered, though he didn't think the other could hear him, still it was amusing the other could just instantly tell it was him, even when fast asleep. Curig upa round the other a bit, he yawned and settled to sleep; he realized Elijah never ended up fixing up his hands, but he didn't mind; the other fussed too much for his own good anyway.

Settling again, the angel let his fingers curl in against the fabric still covering the demon's chest, leg tightening its hold before falling back to a much deeper sleep moments later. It was true, had the being not had anything to drink at dinner, he would be healing Devin's hand by now and they would be sharing the much larger bed in the guest room, yet this is where he had been brought to sleep.
As the hours seemed to pass by, Elijah stayed curled in against Devin next to him, barely moving despite his body growing hot from being covered up and cuddling with the clothed demon. The angel had managed to sleep for almost six hours when he felt it, the discomfort making him turn onto his back and pull away from the other. The star shaped scar along his right shoulder was beginning to glow faintly around the edges, the tissue giving off a new kind of heat. At first, the change went unnoticed, that was until something seemed to move beneath the surface of that rough flesh.
Only then was the angel jerked out of his sleep, sitting up quickly to grab at his shoulder; hunching forward to almost have his head rest in his own lap. Sweet had broken out on his entire body, his chest rising and falling as if he had been running for the past twenty minutes. "F-ck..." The hand against his shoulder convulsed around the glowing tissue, feet moving slightly as he kicked at the sheet still covering his body.

Devin didn't notice the other had moved away at first as he slept on, and in his sleepy state he presumed the other had simply rolled over a little ways from him or he;d gone to the bathroom. It was the cure coming from the other that woke him up and he opened his eyes sleepily, at first he didn't know what was going on or what the soft light coming from the other was "..'lijah?" He murmured as he sat up a bit "What's going on?"

Only when the sheets had been completely removed from his legs did the angel roll out of bed, staggering over until he slammed his back against the nearby wall. His hand clenched at his shoulder tightly, the knuckles turning white from the strain as he fought for breath to speak. "...-ain..." He tried to speak the angel's name, but couldn't get his mouth to move enough to answer the questions coming from the other demon. Those pale eyes were held tightly shut moments before they opened wide and looked over to the door that slammed open.
Asleep in the other room, the demon woke with a start when he sensed the sudden aura coming from Devin's room; scrambling out of the bed and down the hall in the same heartbeat moments before the door was pushed open. Those crimson eyes darted about until he found his master on the floor and he quickly went to his side. "Eli!" Both hands reached to touch the angel, but caught nothing but air when the being moved just out of reach.
Elijah turned quickly and moved further down the wall, slowly shaking his head. "Too close," he managed to say before leaning forward to muffle a cry of pain as the skin around the scar began to ripple; something pushing through the skin moments later to make the pale flesh bleed.
Tatsu clenched his hands shut and pulled them back to his side when his master spoke, jaw clenching before he slowly stood. He smelt it then as Elijah's blood slowly began to scent the air, the alluring smell causing his head to spin for but a moment before he managed to calm again. "Devin, do you have any bandages..You might get burned if you try to heal it right away."

Devin got out of bed alone with him, the quiet utterance of Cain;s name was enough to make him snarl in annoyance, surely the other couldn't be in Hell right now, no demon alive would let him strut around Hell like he owned the place, never the less when Tatsu turned up he nodded and headed to the bathroom; he wasn't sure how the scar linked Elijah to him, which some shady form of magic no doubt but he didn't like how it put strain on the other.
Devin came back with a cold wet cloth and pressed it against the wound that was bleeding; he wasn't sure what was trying to push out, but Elijah seemed determined to keep it in his body, once the area was cleaned of blood he jut snorted and dipped his head toune as he lapped at the wound the siiva healing over the injury and stopping the blooding within a few moment; sure it stung but he didn't care.

It was while the other demon was gone that the small white fleck of a blade shot out of Elijah's shoulder, which Tatsu quickly moved to grab at. He felt the blade burn at his fingertips moments before he forced the flame into his hand to burn the thing. Jaw still clenched shut, the demon moved away when the other returned, hand shifting to clasp shut at his own side while he watched someone heal his master once more.
The angel had only vaguely heard the words spoken, the pain lacing through his body almost too much for him before he felt the small piece pierce through his flesh and fly towards the ceiling. Those pale eyes watched in almost slow motion as Tatsu reached for the thing and burned it. He didn't even try to suppress the cry of pain that was voiced next, hand convulsing again before the two were rejoined. Elijah looked up when Tatsu neared, slowly shaking his head before the cool compress was put in against his shoulder. Body still littered with sweat, the angel bit his tongue until he tasted his own blood as the wound was drawn even more attention to. The hand that had been pressing to the wound reached out then, pushing at the demon. "S-stop it Devin! Not everything can be healed so easily," he stammered, shaking hand reaching out to try and pick up the cloth, pausing when it was no longer at his side. Where...? He had lost time just then, not even noticing that Tatsu had neared enough to pick the cloth up.
"It's a holy wound, Devin. You will just stop the bleeding, and it will start again in a few minutes. It's harder for demons to heal than wounds produced by normal weapons," the demon explained, holding the cloth to the small hole that had been made; but with the opposite hand that had burned the small blade shard. Those crimson eyes locked with his master's then, a look passing between them before Elijah nodded and closed his eyes, his brow furrowing again as he relearned how to breathe and relax his body.
"Help me bind this and I'll explain. Cain knows we are in Hell. We will have to leave it at that for now."

"Shush" He muttered; even if it wouldn't heal the other demon saliva would at least bring the other pain relief to the other for a while; would make it bearable; he figured when he saw it what it was and it was true he couldn't heal it, but he could ease the pain and that's what he was trying to do even if the wound would have to fix itself on its own. "Im giving him pain relief, and Im not an idiot can smell its a holy wound, let alone SEE it" He growled annoyed; though it was mainly because he was grumbly first thing in the morning when he woke up more then anything. "What do you think it was that killed my dad? A mortal weapon?" He snorted softly before he sighed "...Sorry I'm not very pleasant when I first wake up...the pain should be at least bearable now" He said a he took off a stip from his shirt and began binding it up gently.
"Even if Cain knows we are in hell he;d be a fool to actually come here, no demon worth his sulphur would let him walk around, let alone leave alive" he murmured softly.

Elijah grew very still and silent when the angry demon stubbornly stayed at his side, glancing away as the being spoke. Those pale eyes turned over towards Tatsu where he had come to kneel next to the two and sighed again. "Seems like that would be something with both have in common...Losing a loved one at the hands of those so-called angels," the being whispered, hand reaching out to take hold of Devin's hands once they were finished with binding the wound. "Would it be too early for Tatsu to draw a bath for me? I'll catch a cold if I don't at least rinse off," he added, hands holding onto the demon's before glancing back over towards the other. He saw it, the pain chasing through those crimson eyes of his while he watched helplessly as his master was continuously tormented, brought to tears almost daily despite the distance put between the two angels. "I'll be fine, Tatsu...We always manage."

Devin nodded a little at that "Its okay Tatsu you can run a bath, mom will be at work now anyway...the entertainment quarter rarely sleeps and she leaves early to sort out the brothel" He said softly, once Tatsu was gone he looked to the wound "Did you know...angels...they make hoy weapons purposely fragile, in a sword fight they'd be fine, but the magic on them...when it registers demon flesh...demon blood, the blade shatters leaving shrapnel in a demons body causing constant pain, not only does it cripple a warrior but the pain is enough to make demons wish for death" He said softly.
"How did you get your wound Elijah?" He asked quietly.

He saw the hesitation in the demon at his side and couldn't help but smile sadly. "Go, we will be there shortly, Tatsu," the angel replied, watching the retreating figure before his eyes closed. Head tipping back against the wall, Elijah took several deep breaths, only opening his eyes again when Devin spoke.
The question asked caused the being to slowly lean forward, hand lifting to barely touch his shoulder while he spoke, gaze moving everywhere but upon the demon before him. "Many years ago, Cain came to my home, destroying everything that I held dear. I tried to stop him and received this wound upon failing. Now, every day since then, I am reminded of how weak I was against him." Elijah drew in a breath. "He made the blade with blood magic somehow. Being an angel, no matter the magic, good or bad, his blood is still pure...He came to the house one night after supper. We were in the living room near the fireplace. There was..a knock at the door. We thought it was a messenger bringing another assignment, so we didn't answer. Mother...she.."
Something fell to the angel's thigh, causing him to jump rather suddenly. He hadn't even realized the tears had started to fall. "She went to answer the door, but it wasn't a messenger with an assignment...He hadn't even marked her yet. He waited...waited for me to come running into the foyer to see her held to the floor. I-I j-just couldn't run fast enough to stop the attack...I wasn't strong enough..." Both hands lifted now to press against closed eyes, fists rubbing at the pale jewels as the tears continued. "I didn't know the blade had been made specifically for me until it broke and shattered to pieces still in my shoulder..There was so much blood...I thought that being disarmed, he would leave, but he had his main at his side...I just wasn't fast enough...wasn't strong enough...to protect her..."

Devin was quiet for a moment "He probably enhanced the spell on the blade...your part angel after all so the blade probably wouldn't have the same effect on you as it would a full blooded demon, so he altered it so it would... not sure how though" He admitted as he listened to him talk, he wasn't sure who the other was referring to but he presumed it must be Elijah's mother.
"...." Devin pulled the other into his arms and helped him a he continued to cry, he sighed softly as he raked his fingers through the boys hair and nodded a bit; he understood for the most part what the other meant; Cain had threatened the other mother and waited for him to turn up so as to kill or injure him, no doubt his mother had fought back and it had ended up getting her killed "Elijah...listen to me...its not your fault...you didn't know what he was going to do" He said softly as his brain whirred; it WAS possible to have such shrapnel removed but it would take a lot of time effort and magic from a demon mage. "Listen, you need to get that shrapnel out of your shoulder at some point..." He said softly.

Eyes still closed, Elijah felt pressure on his body and slowly blinked tear-stained eyes open to look up at the demon who's lap he was now resting in before he slowly started shaking his head. Turning, he flung himself at the warmth, wrapping his arms tightly around Devin's neck to bury his face near the nape to draw in the scent; it calming him slightly. "I had heard but.....I didn't think they would really go through with it. I thought surely...surely someone would have heard of it and put a stop to it...To murder another angel for something like that...." The angel shook his head a bit, hand lifting to try and rub away the tears that were falling down his cheeks.
"I-I know. We have tried before. I just don't understand what it was he did. There is only myself until Cain searches for it, that...blade he formed, and the shards harden into those tiny little blades and seek to return to him. Only then can they be forced out but...There are just too many. He calls to only one at a time, using the things to track me down when he wants..." Elijah fell silent then, chewing on his lower lip a bit before shaking his head again and burying his face once more in against the warmth before him. "There aren't many angels or demons that talk with me that know much about blood magic. If there was one that would, maybe we could isolate his blood and force it out but...Not many want to associate with a half-breed..." He laughed a little then, leaning back enough to look up at the demon he was clinging to. "I'm surprised you can even stay this close to me with the mixed scent that I have."

Devin shook his head a little "Some angels are worse then even demons in that sense, Cin is definitely worse than any demon ve ever come across...I think he was born in the wrong land" He said with a sigh as he met the other snuggle against his warmth as he listened, he was quiet for a long moment as he lft a plan form in his mind...maybe...just maybe he could make this work...he'd have to rely on his mother to help him and any old friends of his father...but this might just help the other.
Devin blinked at that before he smirked and buried his face in the others neck for a moment inhaling a deep breath of the others scent, his tongue playfully lapping over the others skin gently at that " before he pulled back "Well it doesn't bother me, you small and taste just fine"

The angel could only nod in agreement when told that angels are sometimes worse, and agree yet again when told that Cain had been born in the wrong land. It was funny. He had thought the same thing when it had happened, and any time after that. To simply kill because of something like that....Elijah's thoughts were brought to a halt when his neck was suddenly attacked, entire body tensing and arms tightening their hold just a bit when he felt the ghost of a breath against the sensitive skin. "I-Devin!" He felt his face warm just a bit, glancing away when looked upon again. "W-why do you do that?"
The angel sighed when he realized that the demon would more than likely not follow his train of thought. Shifting a bit, both hands moved to lightly brush either side of the being's face; fingertips barely touching the warm skin at first before the palms of his hands slid in against the pale flesh, immobilizing the other from moving his head from side to side. Those pale eyes gazed up at Devin from where he still sat within the male's lap, fingertips running against the pale skin a moment or two before speaking again. "It hurt again, didn't it? When you licked at my shoulder...Why do you do it if it burns?" Elijah frowned a bit, leaning forward. "Let me see. Stick your tongue out. How bad is it?"
