Emma seemed a bit surprised by Herald's response as she stared at him for a few more moments. Another smile spread across her face finally before quickly leaning up and kissing him on the forehead "Thank you..." she replied. She wasn't sure why she said that but didn't really seem to care at the moment.

"If something happens to me, this realm and everything in it is yours.....but you may come to regret letting yourself fall in love if something happens to me and I'm taken from you." A cloudy look came over his face as he spoke those words. Will I be bound in chains

Emma gently placed both her hands on either side of his face "I didn't think someone like you would talk about yourself dying... after acting all cocky yesterday." she said before kissing his forehead again "I'll just have to stick by your side then whenever we fight if that is alright." she offered.

Never Again...Herald shook his head slowly. "There is no enemy I cannot kill; no battle I cannot win. But I am not under any illusion that I am invincible. I have accepted the fact that someday I will die in battle. It is my destiny. Because I've accepted it I don't fear it. And I appreciate your offer; but I know there are some battles I must fight on my own." He closed his eyes when she kissed his forehead before opening them again. "But I will protect you."Will I be bound in chains

Never Again...Herald was glad Emma understood where he was coming from. He looked up and down her body as she laid back down before he leaned forward and began kissing her neck. Will I be bound in chains

A small smile re-appeared on Emma's face as Herald kissed her neck again. While he did this, she tightened her arms around him slightly more.

Emma grinned and shook her head "Nope. And I don't think I ever will..." she told him before trailing off as her stomach growled rather loudly. She turned bright red and glanced away, muttering a small curse under her breath.

Never Again...Herald looked down at Emma in surprise for a moment before he started laughing. He rolled off her and back into the grass as he continued to laugh. "Already?" He asked between laughs. Will I be bound in chains
