Kitara Elvini nods to Lael saying, "You'll hear about it, eventually, if you stay with us for a while."
She then puts on her back her quiver, the bow by it and the swords, handing a few of the swords to her cousin. Jay then twitters something and they start on down the path again.

Darian slides the swords under his belt, being careful not to cut it, and sheaths his own sword. "Well, off we go."

"I look forward to it," Lael says to Kitara and begins down the path, staying with the other two as she really doesn't know the way.

"I have often wondered what happened to the little trickster I used to hang around with when I was little to cause him to be turned into a bluejay." Darian replies, laughing slightly at the fact that Jay had become so mature since becoming a bluejay.

Jay ruffles his feathers before telling Kitara that she should tell Darian and Lael.
She sighs before starting her story, "We were only about eight when it happened, appearance wise. We were walking along a path by our village and saw a small path that hadn't been used in decades. No one in our village had ever seen it before and we, being the kids we were, challenged each other to go down the path to see what lay beyond. Of course, we both went down the path to see what was down it."
((Ooc: Since this is a story, I'm going to have to break it up a bit. Please have your characters say something, though, so that I don't feel that I am taking up all of the thread. I won't continue posting the story if you two don't post in between the story posts - a post/reaction from Darian and Lael between parts, preferably.))

Lael nodds, remembering when her brother and she used to do similar things. Except it would usually end with him pushing her in the river, not someone truning into a bird.

"It was fun at first, but Mom and Dad almost skinned my hide because of it," Kitara says, then continues the story as they continue walking, "We were going down the path when Jay suddenly tripped and fell. He received a cut on his knee that went almost down to the bone. He was crying due to the cut and...."
Jay shakes himself, quickly chirping something. The blue haired elf shakes her head.
"Jay, you did cry."
He shakes himself again, in protest.
Kitara rolls her eyes, "You did, Jay, no matter how much you wish to protest against it."

Lael laughs. "Just admit it Jay," she says. "We all know it's true."

Jay shakes his head, ruffling his feathers, as Elvini sighs, "He'll never admit, though it is true. I don't see why he wouldn't admit, though, because we were only about eight years old, perspectively."
They continue walking and she says, "Well, he was down for the count on the path. I looked around us and saw a house nearby. Call it an almost 'Hansel and Gretal' thing if you want to, but I helped him to the house and we knocked on the door. A lady found us on her front step and, seeing Jay's wound, let us in. She healed his wound using medicines not even we had seen before, nor have seen since. It was a very effective medicine, healing to normal, though the lady forgot to tell us one thing...."

Lael subconsciously makes a mental note to see if she can figure out what medicins Kitara is talking about when they get to the village.
