"Yes. Yes I am wearing a dress." Cass replied to Leon, doing a single spin to show it off. "I wear skirts all the time, this isn't anything new, Leon. This is just 'dressing nice'." Which she had to notice that her 'brother' seemed to be struggling with that idea.

But he wasn't in his pajamas, right? Right.

"Just stand straight and you'll be fine." Cass suggested, even going as far as to begin fussing over the life hunter. She only paused when Marcus kissed her cheek, grinning and returning the affection. "You're looking dressed up, hun." she purred.

Ami got a nod. "Thank you, Ami. You look lovely yourself." Cass smiled.

"Wait, this is a mission?" Ofelia had totally missed that part of the text. "Ah kinda only skimmed over the surface'a what it said ta be honest? At the very least Ah can honestly say no....an' oh! Ah like Nevada too, she's got a nice body." They'd sparred together once in their underwear - or rather Ofelia was in her beginner's stage of bikini wear and Nevada had stripped down. "Nice girl."

So if this was a mission then Ofelia was glad she wore her flip flops. They'd bring her all kinds of good luck.

The look on Jake's face caused another bit of hurt. It really shouldn't have, his reaction was predictable enough. She knew what to expect from Jake, which made her wonder why she... It probably didn't help that she was still a bundle of emotions from everything. "You always say that."

She smiled though, when he huffed and agreed with her. That was rather normal, and it helped set her at ease.

Her phone buzzed again. She checked it, quick and quiet as she could. It was rude, she knew, but... Her heart sank again at Ofie's response. Jake pushing her away, even if subtly, and now Ofie not wanting to talk? Sherry... hadn't done anything wrong, had she? No, she hadn't.

The arrival of Gale brought her out of her thoughts. Sherry put her phone away again. She'd find Ofelia later. Now...now it would not end well.

"Hi," Sherry gave Gale a nod a smile. It was a slightly sad smile, but she didn't think anyone would notice. "How are you holding up?" It was a polite type of question, right?

The girl who finally spoke up certainly had something serious to say, when she wanted. But it was the odd presence in her head, and not her own thoughts, that seemed particularly interested once Mimsy spoke. She moved to answer Peyton, when Thaw practically demanded that she turn to speak with Mimsy. It actually hurt, how much he demanded it. The heat burned into her mind, giving her a scorching headache.

"My God. Two days," She answered Peyton sharply, despite Thaws desires. "Do you all have guys talking in your head, trying to tell you what to do?" She gave Mimsy a side glance, and Thaw was appeased; for now.

She is a kindred spirit. I wish for you to have an extended conversation with that one.

And I wish for you to shut the hell up.

"I'm fine," said Gale, which was mostly true. Except for the fine part. He was less concerned with himself, however, and more concerned about the two people he now stood in front of.

The last time he'd seen Jake, he'd slapped him before being dragged through the portal by Mark, and it had not been a pleasant experience. Even just remembering it gave Gale a sickening feeling low in the pit of his stomach, and he let his gaze flicker across both Jake and Sherry's faces carefully, searching for any definite injuries.

"How are you two? Are you both all right?"

His fingers itched for his cell phone again.

The new hunter got a small stare followed by "Is it another Dakota?" Eyes narrowed then- "......You'll be needing the talk about the uh, side effects probably. Of being a hunter.. later." A cough, Marcus wasn't about to start there of all places. Both to Sin and Alaska, he gave a nod in greeting. "Marcus Hasan by the way. Moon hunter. And Kat, I'm only looking out for them. It's my job. Or it's supposed to be anyway. So long as they stay safe and educated they should be fine. Granted, the worst offense I can see happening is holding hands." He smiled warmly at the pair. lingering it on Ryan. Nope, they weren't getting out of it. And he was expecting great things of you Ryan, great... non stupid things. Which was asking a lot given some of their division.

"And doing fine. I've been working on getting more external missions possibly, less work here at HQ. As easy as it is, I don't want to get too rusty."

He almost missed Wilson's looks. Almost, before giving his shoulder a small squeeze. "Now you look dressed to kill. You're death after all, supposed to be the one setting the example. Geeze."

Jake was still consumed with guilt at what had happened to everyone, but especially...
His gaze met Gale's for a moment, wondering what he was looking at.

"I'm... fine." He sounded like a broken record saying it over and over again, but he really didn't know what else to say. Gale had already saw most of his injuries and... he didn't need to know about the ones he had obtained after, and he didn't think Stormy would be telling him anytime soon. At least, he hoped not, though speaking of which...

"How about you?" His gaze dropped. "... and how's Stormy?"

"I'm okay," Sherry replied. Which was true. She'd...come out of everything rather unscathed, especially when compared to the rest of the party. Physically, anyway.

All the inner troubles, well, for the most part they were hers and she didn't feel the need to share them. Not here and now, anyway. She doubted Gale would want to know about them to begin with.

"He says he's fine," Sherry broke in, "but I know the infirmary tech had suggested crutches for another little while." Yes, Jake, she did talk with the folks down there.

She went quiet, though, when Jake asked the question that had been on her mind too. "Yeah. How is...everyone?"

She gave a soft laugh. "They said this is the briefing? Maybe we'll have to go James Bond and sneak in like special party people?" Stormy suggested with a somewhat hopeful tone, trying surreptitiously to see if she could locate the pair or Gale. "And uh, yes I think so too? We had to find dresses for each other and all. I really like yours by the way!" she chirped. "You look very pretty, Patches."

There they were. She glanced at their shoes for the moment because sneaky.

He slid a very unbelieving stare towards Jake.

"You're lying," he said calmly, and straightened his tie again, smoothing a hand down the black silk. "You're not fine. But considering the circumstances, it's understandable. And I wouldn't expect you to be fine."

He wasn't going to get angry. Not here, not when he had promised to keep an eye on them. Gale rolled his neck a little, trying to dispel some of the tension that had risen in his shoulders.

Stormy's name filtered into his thoughts from Jake's voice. Gale's eyes moved towards Sherry, giving her a small nod before he looked back at Jake, lifting his chin a little.

"...she's been better," said Gale quietly. "And so have you. Next time listen to the techs and get crutches."

Watching the group for a moment, Kat folded her arms and glanced about the place. More and more hunters were entering the room, all of which (save for a few) were dressed all nice and formal. Part of her wished she had been a rebel and came casual as well. Oh well..

"Sin, have you not eaten a thing since you woke up from the pods..?" If that was true, then he had good reason to be complaining. Though, her need for coffee called to her more than food did when she had first woken from the pods. Still though..

Snorting, she couldn't help but laugh. "Hah hah! I should hope most people have been educated about that when they hit puberty." She knew he meant well, but as he said: the only thing they have done was hold hands. Again the two would receive a small grin from the sun huntress.

"Ahh, that is something I need to do." External missions. If not to get more work done - to get out of this place for a while. Whoever thought living on a small island was great, was a liar.

At the compliment Ofelia's face turned as red as her hair and she rubbed the back of her neck. It was very, very clear she wasn't used to getting compliments. Ever. "Dresses...an' such don't suit me. Ah...got no one ta really dress up for an' . . . " She trailed off and felt really, really foolish.

There was one person she might have wanted to dress up for but she hadn't seen him and so now she just felt like a monkey in a dress. "Also Ah picked this one out mahself. Kinda wish they'd had it in brown."

No one made brown dresses Ofelia, shut up.

Smith did his best to keep a low profile as he shuffled into the assigned room. Of course he had read and re-read the text multiple times to make sure he didn't miss any detail and even though it made him unbearably uncomfortable, he wore a red button up shirt, a black blazer and black dress pants. He was admittedly terrible when it came to these kind of social situations and the fact that he had to attend one in formal wear only made him feel more awkward. Thankfully, his weapon didn't share these sentiments and was ecstatic to be around so many new people.

"Oh my dear Smith, what a lovely group of people! You should talk to that guy... no wait.. that girl! Oh look at her dress, so lovely~! Oh and look over there how that young man is dressed! UGH, don't you just love these kind of black tie events!?"

I'm glad one of us is having a good time. I don't suppose you might want to give me some advice on how to mingle successfully? You know, work the crowd or whatever.

"Easy, Smith! Just talk to EVERYONE~!"

Easy? Yeah right. Smith quickly looked around and saw a group of people nearby. Taking a deep breath, he quickly made his way over to them before his nerves got the better of him.

"Hey guys, how's everyone doing?"

Of course he awkwardly smiled and grinned as he spoke. It was clear he was incapable of introducing himself with any kind of tact.

Eight

Tuck knew he shouldn't be upset, but ********, the thought of her wanting to spend time with someone else really had him ******** raeg-face. Not really in the sense that he wanted to hurt someone, because Evan only seemed to have eyes for his brightly clad sister. It wasn't like he had any kind of claim on Heidi, either.

So, rationally, there wasn't any reason for him to get all ******** riled up.

"Yeah, well." Tuck scratched his jaw and lowered his voice, "It ain't funny."

-SCREEEEEEEEEEEECH-

Everything was interrupted for a second by a terrible static feed, Mark fighting knot theory all on his own with several multi-coloured cables before everything finally got under control. He gave a thumbs up from under the table and then upon realizing that everyone was staring at him sort of just shuffled away. Far away. He was over here. In his corner of cables and knot theories you know, if everyone needed him.

This conveniently however, created just the right moment of silence for everyone to stop chattering and actually look at the front of the room. The Death lead blatantly ignored Mark as he pulled out his cellphone to glance at the time, unfortunately not exposing it anywhere close to his head to test out the theory of the cell phone brain cell damaging clause, though thankfully neuroregenerative technology also existed just in case cell phones were melting away any modern day brains and inadvertently creating a mass undead population of Runic Cell Phone zombies. The rest went like clockwork for those experienced, for those who understood the severity of a mission (especially with Caelius since usually those paired together did not lead to hugs and puppies and rarely even to zombies as that would have been easy compared to what they usually dealt with), and for those new to what a mission really was well, they were in for a small treat.

"Mission debriefing shall begin." So far so good. "This is a privately funded request, the mission itself a series of A class artifacts. Because of the sensitive nature of this mission, you will be on your best behaviour. If the artifacts are neutralized and obtained, we will not only obtain resources for research," always a vague word, "but also expenses which will directly affect your division budgets." A pause. Caelius was trying to ignore Allan, who's 3DS flashed annoyingly just so against his glasses. "Any misconduct will be dealt with accordingly, your mission is to observe and when the time is right and when sensitive elements have been dealt with accordingly, to neutralize. Consider yourself professionals, and your conduct nothing less. Report to your division leaders for equipment distribution."

And like any mission explained by the Death lead, this was about just as informative. He might as well have just said 'please don't ******** up and just hit things when you see something Horsemen-shaped move while I go and grab the loot and place them in my questionable lair because I really like Artifacts or something' and it would have made just as much sense. Post dismissal, the rest went pretty quickly, items, mostly just a snug headset that fit in one ear, all spy-like distributed along with a card with their name on it, a cruise ship boarding ID. However, since this was outside of Deus Ex, instead of having their actual names, it was a photo of the Hunter with a terribly fake name attached to it. Whomever had done names clearly did not even take the time the think and probably drew them from a random string of proper nouns, because there were some interesting combinations such as 'Harry B. Wang' and 'Hurr Peacock'. Most of them were tasteful. Most. Lastly it was to be noted that each Hunter, when handed their cards would be told they had a nominal amount of money to use on the cruise ship, to keep up pretenses of being guests until the right moment. It was very much an allowance.

Moments later, in somewhat order, groups of Hunters, assembled by division were already at the training fields filing through the created portal-

- Arriving at a pier, Pier 50, according to the large sign where a giant, massive cruiseliner waited them. Yes, a full on cruise ship. It was questionable as to how its rotund form actually kept afloat in water, with its ten thousands of lights glittering, star-like in the crisp evening. In the furthest tips of the distance, some of the leads could been seen talking to several more marine dressed officials, and nods were made, documents were exchanged, and then, as simple as children on a field trip, they were boarding the ship.

Best behaviour, the leads had said. Try to be professional. Well it was okay as long as one didn't get caught, right?

OOC

exclaim If you have not posted with your Hunter yet you still can, without penalty! Just write them in and have them on the ship with the others. There will be a solid 24- 30 hours before the next tag. exclaim

At this point the cruise ship is ready to be boarded! It seems the Hunters have some sort of VIP ACCESS thing going on as they board first, and quite exclusively too. As the rooms are still being tidied up, right now only one deck is ready for the VIP guests, the main deck (Deck 7).

- Players can now choose to head into one of two areas, either the Promenade or the Casino. You can exit and enter the areas as many times as you please, and you do NOT need to buy/ use any money, this is all optional.
- However, even for players who forgot their wallet, on top of their conventional fees they are also given $100 dollars of a spending fee. Well.. it's better than nothing...
- To keep track of your spending budget, mark how much money your character has left (that they are using) for this ship in OOC, or even, how much they end of gaining if gambling is their thing
- Right now this is still the EXPLORATION part of the ship, the fun still will be coming soon.
