Fai had had less complaints than the other horsemen--he wasn't nearly as stuffed into his costume as the others, so when given the chance to work he was positively cheerful about it. His hair--appearing as evil dreadlocks to the humans he was chasing, snapped out at them, wrapping around a wrist once, snapping out at another, until two of the humans went through.

The music stopped, the lights went out, and chaos erupted at long last. Nergui was grinning, a manic curl of lips that looked strange on the face of Aurora. It was time, thank the Goddess. If they had had to linger much longer in their pantomime, she might have simply all out snapped. Instead, as Medea's voice rang out, the priestess laughed.

All all round her the customs and suits of her fellows could no longer conceal who was behind them, and by the screams and shrieks of the humans it was obvious that their eyes no longer saw the beloved mascots and characters who had been standing before them moments go. The sleeping beauty, so pale and elegant before, was now dark, Nergui's natural skin and eyes showing through at last as her hair swirled around her, eyes glowing with the green fire of nightmares.

"Come come children, don't you want an autograph?" A chorus of screams rang out from the children the demented princess had turned too, and they took off, away from their parents, scattering into the crowd towards more of her fellow comrades. One was a student, dressed as their patron Sally.

The Irony was not lost on Nergui.

"Do not let them escape!"

Another cluster of insects, this one probably a family by how tightly they clung to each other, came running Nergui's way. "That's right, my pets. Embrace darkness." Shadow licked arms flung open, and she moved towards them, almost gliding. Elegant, if not for the nightmares that surely tainted what the humans saw of her. She laughed, high and lovely, and they turned tail, sprinting in the other direct away from her, and the portal, but towards more waiting darkness. "Do not run!" She screamed after them. "There is no escape."

A creature from the deep had blocked their path, and beneath the writhing tentacles Nergui recognized a face and body that she had sorely missed over the past few weeks. "My sweet guardian! Your assistance is required!" There was fondness in her voice as she called to him, and she was tempted to join him, to remain by his side throughout the remainder of this mission, but she knew her duties, and she would not disappoint their Medea. A wink found the burly stallion, but that was it. Later, she would see about hunting him down, but for now the humans were her prey.

Two figures had peeled themselves away from the crowd, and instead of fleeing in terror had instead come to face their nightmares. FEAR rode in the air around them, it was intoxicating, but the two that were charging towards her did not not seem afraid. She stared after them as they shouted at her, then blinked as a handful of salt was flung at her. Salt? The mare frowned, lips curling back as she growled under her breath.

Then a shotgun blasted sounded, and the mare was jerked by the force of something striking her front. it didn't hurt, but her dress was now peppered with small holes and tears.

She grabbed the weapon the one was moving to point at her again, ripping it from their hand, and drove her foot into his stomach before smashing the other in the side of the head with the butt of the shotgun. The both of them dropped and with a last huffed grumble the priestess left them there, off to seek less annoying prey.

He nodded his thanks to Soren and continued on past the shirtless, salt-throwing humans, eyeing them with no small measure of confusion. What exactly were they trying to accomplish? Curious.

A little girl with pale blonde pigtails ran past, tears staining her cheeks. Mmur shook the salt out of his hair into her popcorn.

Temporarily free of the presence of strange, shotgun-toting irritants, Mmur tried scaring a nearby teenager. Too bad the kid had already been thoroughly terrified by a Death mare he didn't recognize. He shrugged and smiled. As long as the cattle ended up in the portal, he didn't much care how they got there.
