Paimon woke from his sleep about the time that Sebastian had angered. His eyes popped open and he stood up, looking at his very pregnant mate. "Ca... You need to stay here... I need to go visit my father..." he said tightly. This was something only his father could answer.

Ca Thu Thi reluctantly nodded, knowing that her mate wouldn't say such things if they weren't completely true. "Be... back... soon." With something wrong with Sebastian, being so far along in her pregnancy, her own Chosen attempting to hold herself together despite the ground being pulled out from under her, and just the general stress of the accumulating problems, she didn't want to be separated from Paimon longer than necessary.

"Let Manga know." He said before turning and heading out the stable door and straight south, to his father's lands.
___________
It took him most of the next day and into the next night but he made it, exhausted, but alive. He stepped firmly into the sand beneath him as he looked around for his father's familiar glow in the night time air. His own glow, he knew, would mirror Ruin's, for he was the closest there was to looking like Ruin. He could hear the scattering of desert creatures, finding it amazing that they would dare live so close to Ruin's cave. He reached the crest of a sand dune and waited. He would come.
Ruin stood at the mouth of his cave in teh shadows, just far enough inside that Paimon wouldn't see him. He would admit, he was surprised to see that his son seeked him out. Something must be terribly wrong for Paimon to actively come searching for his father. Ruin turned to the inside, where he knew Demoni was. "Demoni. Do me a favor and go see what he wants." He said, the kindest he woudl ever come to anyone, and it would only ever be to Demoni.

Demoni dipped his head in acknowledgement before leaving his pleasantly warm spot next to Ruin and stepping out into the chilling night air. He quietly approached, stopping a few feet from the stallion. "A rare visit, Paimon," he drawled. "What's the occasion?" He was well aware of Paimon's hatred for his father... but the boy wasn't foolish; if he was going to take on Ruin, this was a poor way to do it. Which meant that he likely needed something. But what could possibly drive him to seek out Ruin? What did Ruin have that no one else did?

Paimon eyed the bat, judging what made his father want him to stick around. Shaking his head and snorting he stomped his hoof. "Have him come out here. I have something I need to ask him about. Tell him it involves Wrath." He said, his eyes narrow and speculating. His connection to Sebastian was closed, but his connection, the thing that had developed as he spent more time with Ca, that enabled him to feel her feelings, was still open so she could know he was safe.
Ruin heard "Wrath" and stepped out of the cave, calmly walking towards his son and mate, though inside his body screamed. What and why did his son question about Wrath? Paimon was the only one that knew about the demon that controlled Ruin, and he wanted it to stay that way, and it was probably the only wish of his father's that Paimon would listen to. "What about Wrath?" He growled out.

Demoni's eyes widened slightly, but he remained more composed than his counterpart. "He's here," he stated, pointing out the obvious. "So please, go on." It wasn't like either one would have a reason to keep it secret from him; he didn't know about Wrath in as... personal a way as Ruin, but he did know who the demon was.

Paimon looked cooly away from Demoni and to his father, disguising the disgust he felt for now. "I believe he is influencing my Chosen.' He said simply, his eyes gazing passively at his father.
Ruin smirked, then darkened, then smirked again. "And that matters to me, why? I already know he is of this plane as he cursed myself and Demoni with a wonderful visit." He said, his voice crackling.
Paimon ignored the instinct to look at the bat again when he was mentioned. "It does not matter to you. It matters to me. How do I stop this influence, Father." He said, hesitating on his address to Ruin, but getting it out anyways.
Ruin smirked and looked at Demoni, sensing his opportunity. "I can tell you how, Paimon, but you will owe me a favor, and I will collect." He said, his red eyes glowering brighter.
Paimon watched his father, dread filling his heart. "What is this favor?"
Ruin grinned. "Either accept or do not. It does not matter to me."
Paimon gritted his teeth. The life of his Chosen and his Chosen's mate was more important than anything his father could force him to do. "Fine." He seethed out, his tail lashing, fanning a hot flame behind him.
"He must Bond. But not as you and he Bonded. The Bond must be a deeper connection. It has to be holy, blessed by a God. That is the only way, that he may leave Wrath's influence." Ruin replied, flicking his tail and turning around, heading back to his cave, obviously dismissing his son without another thought.

Demoni couldn't help smirking. Oh, there were so many possibilities for this 'favor.' It just made his chaotic little heart leap for joy. What kind of agony could they inflict in Paimon's world...?

Paimon stood on the hill for a moment longer before turning and making his way back, dread still in his heart. What favor would Ruin ask of him? No matter, he needed to get home.
_____
He slipped in in the wee hours of the morning, having traveled faster and harder than he had before. His fist stop was the stables to see his mate and check on her. He found her sleeping, and so he curled up next to her, nuzzling her neck sweetly. He'd only been gone for four days but he had missed her greatly.

Ca Thu Thi instinctively nuzzled into her mate, despite the obvious accommodations that Alfred had made for the pregnant mare. A blanket had been draped over her to keep her warm in Paimon's absence, but it just wasn't the same as her flaming stallion. Her eyes fluttered open a little while later, a weary smile spreading across her face as she looked at her mate. She was relieved he was back... in the four days he'd been gone, Manga had all but run herself ragged. The woman done her best to mitigate the damage caused by the abrupt bouts of rage that Sebastian had suddenly become prone to, a task that took most of the day spent with the raging male. And then her nights were plagued by more nightmares than Ca could count... She hoped Paimon had a solution, because otherwise, her Chosen was going to run herself into the ground...

Paimon looked his mate dead in the eye. "They have to get Bond." He said to her, hoping she wouldn't ask about the price of his information.
Sebastian was sleeping fitfully, though not in a bout of rage this time. Sweat coursed down his body, wetting the sheets around him. Nightmares plagued him. Hurting.. Hurting. Thats all he was doing. Hurting Manga, hurting Maddie, Hurting Emmie. He'd turned into a monster... He'd turned into Derrik.

Ca Thu Thi tilted her head in confusion. Could two-leggers Bond to each other? Or did Paimon mean something else?
Manga had woken up from a nightmare moments before and was on her way to check on Sebastian when she tuned into the conversation. What kind of Bond? Was it something she was familiar with or...? She slipped into the ex-slave's room, frowning at the sight of him tossing and turning. Helpless. She felt helpless to ease his pain... in fact, she was likely making it worse. But the only ones that could successfully handle it would be her, Thalanir, and Tkal, and the latter two were warriors; they would instinctively move to injure him further. That left her in charge of it, but in reality, she just made sure he stayed in the room. Which, of course, wasn't hard because Sebastian was still severely injured.

Paimon shook his head. "I'm not entirely sure... But I think its something deeper than what the two-leggers call 'marraige'... I think its like what you and I have... Where we can feel each other no matter the distance..." He shrugged helplessly and buried his face in her neck.
Sebastian's eyes flashed open and he saw Manga standing in his room. He winced and slid as far away from her as he could. "Don't... Dahlia.. I'm hurting you..." He cried, tears streaming down his face, mixing with the sweat and pain that laced his body with the movement of him trying to get away.

Ca Thu Thi let him hide, nuzzling him reassuringly. Her head lifted, however, when the gears seemed to click into place for Manga--and immediately after that, her Chosen minimized their link. What was going on? She looked at Paimon, clearly worried. The only time before this when Manga mostly closed their link was when Manga was having an episode--so that Ca wouldn't become stressed and cause complications with her unborn foals.
That was it. That was the information she needed. Manga strode forward, catching Sebastian in her arms. "Trust me," she replied softly. If he could do that... The artist took a deep breath and began speaking in almost a chant. Stories and myths were among her arsenal of information, and this story was one that she hadn't forgotten. A tradition of her people; a Bond that endlessly across time and distance. The words were in her native tongue instead of the Isle's common language, since that's the language in which she knew them in. She couldn't risk the translation being inaccurate and failing. Sebastian needed her. Even if it meant being connected to him on an even deeper level than Ca and Gau, even if it meant letting him see all of the ugliness in her heart... Even if he found her history with Wrath. If she could protect him from the demon that had once struggled to possess her...

Paimon's connection with Sebastian was closed, but his head burst when the connection between Manga and Sebastian was made, as Sebastian completely lost control and passed out. Paimon nearly whinnied in the pure terror of the streams of feeling that was passing through the connection with Manga and Sebastian before he closed it down as firmly as he could, burrowing into Ca's side.
Awareness slammed into Sebastian's body and it felt like he was falling, endlessly, as visions and memories raced though his mind, as his body experienced every single of Manga's episodes all in one go. All was nearly too much for the injured human, so he passed out, his body's way of trying to shut down. Finally, the race of information closed, as Sebastian's body absorbed the rest of Manga's being, and Manga absorbed the rest of Sebastian. His arms curled around her, pulling her onto hte bed with him where he curled into her arms, his body shuddering and his breaths coming hard until they slowed to a normal pace.
