All I ever wanted was to find the True King, and get, the others still stand in my way. I have given them no harm, no trouble, I have waited this long, and my prize is to be betrayed by everything I embrace, again.
Rep thought to himself that it could ******** kiss his arse, hatred and rage slithering into the void left by empty heartbreak. All it wanted. All it wanted. All he ******** wanted was Harrison, and he would have him. He would FIND him again.
And hell mend this ******** voice when he did, because he would rend it asunder, he would make it pay for how tired he was, how much hurt he'd gone through, what he'd done to people who were his friends. He would show it the monster he could be, or die trying, what did it matter? It was all an illusion, a world he could burn down. He'd look them in the eye and then he would SPIT in it.

And finally, sound, though not any kind Lan was hoping for. Still it broke the silence and gave rise to new thoughts. The voice thought her claws weak? That it had made her? A snort and Lan kept moving.

The Silver seemed to take a few steps, take a look over his shoulder, and continue on. He didn't want to get ahead of himself, perhaps it is the wiser choice here to keep another's companion. It is for the best, better survivability with two than alone. By taking the lead, at least then Maple would be safe. If she ran away or came to save him was up to her, but at least she will have that option. Suddenly a voice. Uru stopped between two steps, looking upward toward The Voice. Angered. "I took no powers from you, nor will I ever need it." Yet, no sound. He chuffed to himself before glancing to maple as she continued a bit ahead. If she wanted lead, that was fine too. The sooner they got out of here, would be the better. [[ 39 + 22 = 61 ]]

He smiles slightly at feeling that sniff.. but then he stares at Sinclair and realizes that he heard the voice as well. With a nod... he lets out a small noise and hurriedly tugs at Sinclair. They had to get out of there as fast as they can. Less the voice comes and tries to destroy them completely...
His head whips around quickly as the voice speaks.. and he looks confused. What was this prize.. what.. He thinks loudly. 'What is it?! I don't understand a word..'
And then he takes Sinclari with him out quickly..

The voice only helped fuel her ascent of the tower, a small smirk playing on her face. The voice didn't want them there, the voice was trying to deter them. But it didn't matter. She and the other horsemen had come for one of their own. Horsemen didn't lose. They didn't 'give up' and they most certainly didn't lose.
Not to anyone.
As Lan reached the top, the voice spoke again, and Lan laughed. There was no true king. There never really had been. Maybe once, but no more.

So that was why Zephyros had faltered. The Voice was trying to discourage them. Sinclair refused to let that stop him, now that he had something more tangible than imaginings to hold onto. He had to see this through.

Rex paid little attention to the door or the words written on it. Sacrifice..all you..hear...what the hell did that mean? It didn't matter, he didn't care, he only cared what was beyond the door.
A growl, Rex leapt before he looked, charging through the door and to the stairs that lay beyond. He didn't stop or slow when he saw the stairs, but rather raced up each step at full speed, determined to find the one he sought to CHOMP!

Maybe he should have thought before he ran through the door, but he didn't, even now he didn't think about it. He only ran, charging up the steps, had he even noticed his talons made no sound on the stairs?

Terra stopped as she heard the Voice again, then shook her head. Her mouth opened, trying to find the words to say it. But she gave up. The voice's embracing was suffocating and evil, filled with death and selfishness.
She would not apologize for standing up against it.

They were almost there. Sinclair could see the top of the staircase just over there... The Voice spoke to him again, more harshly than before. Calmly, much more so than he felt, Sinclair walked back to the staircase, dislodged a bit of stray debris, and hurled it as hard as he could against the next door they came across. He didn't even hear it land. It fell harmlessly to the ground. Silently seething, Sinclair reclaimed his hold on Zephyros' hand and strode forward. [Exiting]

Rex hissed, a snarl that made no sound in his ears, and that in turn made him snarl again and again, each time in more aggression and frustration until the hiss turned into a roar. Why couldn't he hear himself?!
He hated that voice, hated it more because he could hear it and not himself.
SHUT UP!
He roared again, another noiseless cry. He did not want to hear it, he did not care what it said! SNARL! He was coming for you voice, and he was going to bite your face!

Damn right she was going to take the lead every so often. Though, she appreciated the sentiment that he wanted to be the Big Damn Hero about this, but she didn't want to fail in keeping a little of her made up dignity.
