Oh, he had better lines to play? Shehk seemed to be mentally preparing herself to the amount of badness that would be ensuing, if nothing else.
"Hm?" she offered during that pause-for-effect, just to add a little more two-sided conversation to his play. His answer caused her to snicker a bit. She looked to Junko and her offer, waving it off with a hand gesture that said 'No no, this is fun'.
"Ah, but would you look better on me than I would on you?" she asked, turning her attention back to Lou.

"A deal then, and if I require more shall we continue with our currently set level of prices, service can be redeemed on any day excluding times relating directly to the... 'prize' of this event. Now shall we shake on this, sign with ink, or however you please to close this deal."

"Sounds good. We shake first, and I'll send the paperwork that needs to be signed." He held his claw out still.
"Just need to shake on it."

False thought over it for a few moments more before extending his hand to grasp the clawed imps.
"I'll be waiting for the papers, I hear a demon named Zar does wonders with this kind of work."

Ying was just completely desolate until Salbei's voice echoed behind Lan's chatter.
Was this the real life? Just fantasy?
She immediately stopped clinging to Lan and began fixing her hair and clothing in a flurry of flailing hands. "Um! Yes! I am Ying Zheng, of the Conquest clan," she said quickly, bowing shortly and nodding all at the same time. She was just so excited.
She put her hand in his outstretched one, not sure if this was a handshake or a greeting either. Ying was too busy sparkling at the prospect of making this horseman clothing.istoleyurvamps dont you like all these quotes HA

"Oh! A gag! It's been a long time since I was stuck with one of those!" Obviously others had posed the same idea before. No surprise there.
Lou could not say that he expected such an answer, however. The vampire stood in awe and cupped his cheeks at the speed of light, a loud slapping sound following close behind. Macaulay Culkin anyone? "I uh... Hm. That's a brilliant question." One he had no witty retort to, off the top of his head. Though he appeared more amused and surprised than disappointed.
"Touche, Ta-ta's." A new nickname, just for her.

A painful seering came over his hand as a mark in the shape of a swirl ending with a heart burned, lines over by runes in a circle. False was his.
"Done." He said, grinning wide before he reached into his pocket and gave him 20 seeds.

Miyako blushed even more. She was too nervous and shy to kiss him. Not to mention he was a stranger. She hasn't even kissed someone she liked yet, so she really didn't want her first kiss to be with a stranger. Not that There was a person she liked, but one day she hoped there would be. Now if only she would have the courage when that one day happened. She didn't really care about the money, besides that she needed it for rams she wanted to catch. but she felt bad. "H-how about on the cheek?" She wasn't sure what he ment by a kiss anyways. He could have ment a kiss on the cheek. "a..kiss on the cheek and 10 silver?" Miyako was really gernerous, not to mention she easily felt bad. She was also very naive. It was easy to see that deals were not her strong side. She generally lost more then the other participant in any deal she ever made. Though she believes strongly in equality, she also belives strongly in making others happy. Yep that wasn't always a good thing, but the foolish kitten was never going to change.

Legitimately, Shehk couldn't actually get upset at the nickname 'tatas'. After all, she'd had a lot of strange...fanfare..revolving around her chest. Something about double rainbows. Honestly, she didn't know where it had come from, but she'd gotten used to it by that point in time.
Still, his reaction caused her to grin, folding her arms.
"I'll let you ruminate on that one a little bit, then." The pricolici twirled a piece of hair between her fingers. "Shame you haven't put more thought into that notion."

"I AM NOT SPAYED, FIXED, NEUTERED OR EVER HAD TO WEAR A CONE OVER MY HEAD!" Damien stomped from his place and huffed at the irritation of it all. The nerve of them, being called a pet was definitely a good way to get him miffed. The frustration that made an eyebrow twitch in rapid succession only to repeat the motion after a few seconds was a clear sign at that. Even worse, to be won by either a Tsundere Shapeshifter, or a lying ***** style="color: green">"This cannot end well."the hellhound moaned to himself, unsure about his fate. "Nuk why are you bidding on me? huh?" he just had to ask, not for the sake of curiosity, But because Nuk didn't make sense to him. Ok, maybe it was curiosity. "And you over there, put some pants on!" he barked, pointing at the other bidder. really, Pants was not hard to find locally.

The horseman's politics had somehow bled into this innocent fundraiser. Really, this was to be expected; while Amity might have been able to get away with it, being primarily children and young adults who had little invested in their school beyond the innocence of learning and goofing off, the Lost Clans were an entirely different beast. It was a vast structured hierarchy, and power was sought at all levels. Civil unrest was prominent, Medea's claim to their entirety questioned by more than a few, as well as their own distrust of each other, bred by centuries of only temporary and shaky treaties. Coupled with the plague of Insanity which had swept through their majority... well.
And yet, even as the tension built, the fire licking at Eris' fingers, she allowed it to ebb marginally as both Mort and Alexander approached. The first was offered a little smile, the fire disappearing as she took the note from him, squeezing his hand before he left. She missed him; he had been a sweet little zombie, and she had been drawn to him merely out of curiosity, but somehow had never quite forgotten him. The second, Alexander, she gave a little laugh, the sound like the soft popping and crackling of a fire.
"Of course, sweetling," she replied, signing her name on the sheet he offered before giving him the wink he hadn't been able to give her.
But as the two left, the seriousness of the situation took hold once more, and Eris' eyes lost the gentle carelessness they had held a few moments before. Turning her attention back to Mengyao, she folded her arms loosely, cupping her elbows as she listened quietly, one eyebrow quirking a bit. An unexpected problem? "I live to serve," she replied, irony ringing in her tone. Still, she gave him a little grin, her head tilting to one side a bit. "How might I be of assistance? Or would you rather discuss this in a more private manner?" Lifting both eyebrows questioningly, she let the teasing implication die off for the moment, waiting instead for his answer. Eagerly, in fact.
Except when the time came, his answer on the tip of his tongue, it seemed Lan and Lifen provided the necessary distraction to momentarily sidetrack him. Again, the fire burned in her eyes as she glanced towards Lan, undoubtedly the ringleader. When the Conquest woman replied that a Nobleman's intentions were never innocent, she could not say she was surprised. Eris had never expected Lan's game to be innocent. Which is precisely why she'd issued the warning.
"I expected nothing less," she replied, dissatisfaction and irritation beginning to bubble into her voice, simmering until she spoke again, "I do not appreciate my unwitting involvement in your game, beneficial to me or no. I am not your pawn, Lan, do not make the mistake of attempting to treat me like one."
Yes, that was most certainly a threat.

"I'd like to bid 142 seeds on Eris thank you." he nodded towards the horsemen.

The warning was met with a slight shifting. Lan was nearly, if literally in a sense, playing with fire. But then wasn't that always the case with politics? She was determined to see her plot to the end however, she had come this far after all. Conquest did not give up. They did not back down. Not from a challenge, and not from war. "That is something I cannot do Lady Eris." Defiant, gold eyes matched gold. "In war, in conquest, in all of this," her hand motioned to those present, " everyone is a pawn." She smiled. It was exciting to go up against War like this. Very exciting. "Even I." A look to Lifen, kind yet reaffirming.

The sound of others talking around him was a little distracting. Thackery wasn't quite sure why he'd expected it to be not loud in here, but it took an extra bit of concentrating on his behalf.
The puppy had tunnel-vision.

It was true. If it was one thing that Eris could agree with the Conquest horsewoman, it would be that. War was brutal; sacrifices had to be made, and there had been instances where the horsewoman had done just that. She had sacrificed people who had trusted her, people who she had loved and had been close to, in the name of winning the war. But that had been so long ago. So long... back when she had been undyingly ambitious, when she had sought to win the title of the Heir of War. Back when the Clans were still whole, and her Lady still lived. The thought of the Lady of War brought memories and feelings unbidden to the surface, Eris' face tightening. Those last moments. It was because of her Lady that she had survived the spire... the only survivor. The look of terror, not for herself, but for her protege was burned into her mind, remembered with a clarity only Insanity could bring. Her Lady, silhouetted agianst ungodly white. Arms sliding around her from, shielding her with her body. The screams, right in her ear...
Her ambition had not been tarnished, but sacrifices had indeed been made. Ultimately, to her resolve. Her Lady's sacrifice had impacted her entire life; there were now a few core individuals she would not herself give up.
"You will regret it."
There was anger there, true. But she kept it burning low.
"Do not do this Lan. If this plan of yours is beneficial to me, include me in your confidence. Do not use me as a pawn. I will make you regret every single second for the rest of your existence."
