Once the bacon was sliced the werewolf quickly wrapped it in butcher paper and held it over the counter for Shun to take. "You're little lady ran off." He noted curiously. "That'll be two seeds."
Mitsu, in the meantime, stood outside the shop holding the basket in a tight nervous grip. She kept looking toward the door, worried glances waiting for Shun to come out. The lycan hadn't meant to panic, she thought she had moved beyond a lot of the things that had troubled her but apparently a few of the bad memories of her time on the Hunter Island still lingered. Shun would no doubt be disappointed.

"I noticed."
Nodding to the butcher, Shun paid, then walked on out to see where Mitsu was exactly. She wasn't too far from the door, and he went ahead and placed the bacon into her basket gently.
"What happened in there..?" he asked quietly. She still looked nervous.

When Shun finally emerged there was a sense of relief in her eyes and she lifted the basket up as he placed the bacon in it. Her eyes avoided his as he asked his question, glancing back at the shop wondering what to say. She didn't want to tell him the truth but she didn't want to lie to him either.
"I...I just.....panicked." Was all Mitsu could say, looking down at her feet as she spoke.

Shun stared at her for that.
"I could tell that much. But that doesn't tell me what had spurred it," he said quietly. She was avoiding his gaze. Did she feel ashamed? With a frown, he gently lifted her chin up to try and peer into her eyes as if they could give him the answer.

Shun would find no resistance as he lifted Mitsu's chin, but she still had a hard time looking at him as he pulled her face into view. Her eyes started to get glassy as they turned to look at her reaper, struggling with what she wanted to tell him.
"I-I-It..." She could almost see that disappointment in Shun's eyes. The self blame he had placed on himself for all the things that had happened. It hurt her to think about and it frozen her ability to speak before she could get the word out.

The Reaper didn't understand what was going on here. Her eyes were getting glassy and she was struggling to speak.
"You can tell me.." he whispered before letting her go. Shun wondered for the moment if she was currently afraid of him. The thought disturbed him, though he didn't understand why she would be afraid of him of all things.

When he let her go her chin dropped slightly and she looked back toward the shop with a worried glance. It was a struggle to tell him the truth but in the end it would do them both no good if she kept it from him.
"T-the knife." She said softly. "I was s-s-scared of the knife." Her free hand rubbed her arms idly where they were scared from her time on the Hunter's Island. She could still remember the glint of sharp metal and the feel of it cutting into her carving her into pieces.

For a moment, Shun looked confused, then recalled the sharp blade that was used to carve up the bacon. That was what scared her? Though, he soon realized where she was rubbing her arm, and it slowly dawned on him as the reasoning behind the fear. His heart sank at the very idea. He hadn't realized it would still come up, but in a way, he should have known at the same time.
Furrowing his brow, he looked down at his hands for the moment. Soon, his daggers were summoned into them, though he was simply holding onto them. Staring down at them.
"Do... these frighten you too..?"

Without meaning to Mitsu had taken a step back as soon as his daggers were summoned, her eyes focused on them intently. She had tried her best to mask it but it was hard to completely hide the fear.
Turning her eyes up toward him shortly she looked away again ashamed with herself. "C..can we g-g-get the rest of the groceries?"

Shun looked up when she took a step away from him, and he felt his heart sink. Given how his weapons were literally an extension of himself... it meant that in a way she did fear him. Or at least a part of him. While he had used them against her when they were sparring, he would never cut into her under normal circumstances.
Quickly, the blades vanished, and he nodded slowly to her. He was going to need to work with her with this fear of blades when they got back home. Aside from the fact that he didn't want her to fear him like that... it would also be crucial.
A number of hunters have bladed weapons. And even other reapers had such things. It would be bad if she ended up getting locked in fear if a fight were ever to come up. It was one thing to be wary of a weapon, but... the way she had panicked was more than just being cautious.
Reaching out, he took her free hand, squeezing it gently to try and get her to settle down in the meantime. He wanted to help her in however way he could. The Reaper had failed to prevent the trauma from happening to her... but maybe he could help her recover. He hoped he could do that much for his lycan.

Her stance relaxed a little as soon as the blades vanished, her eyes darting up toward his face hesitantly before looking back at the ground between her feet. She didn't like feeling this way nor did she like making Shun feel this way. It was a cruel cycle of guilt and fear that she just couldn't move passed.
The only reassurance that she had that he wasn't upset with her was when he took her hand. She squeezed it lightly in return moving closer to stand next to her reaper. It was yet another problem she didn't have a solution to at the moment.
When her heart calmed back down a little she indicated she was ready looking through the market for the other things they would need. It wasn't far from where they were that there was someone selling eggs and milk. After that the only thing left was bread right?

Briefly, Shun brought his other hand around Mitsu to embrace her briefly until she was ready to move on with the rest of their errand running. When she was, he nodded quietly to her, and moved on to pick up the eggs and milk from the nearby vendor. Once that was done, he looked around, trying to find where a baker was. At least, that was where he'd assume he'd find the loaf of bread that Jenna requested.
He also shot his lycan a quick glance, making sure that she was doing better now. If not.. maybe grabbing some jerky once they picked up the bread would help distract her from the whole knife incident...

With the eggs and milk in the basket Mitsu looked around for the last item on their list. A bakery couldn't be far from where they were surely. When she choose to look up at Shun to see if he had spotted anything she caught his gaze briefly. Her eyes saddened to a degree but she still tried to smile despite it all. He had helped her to move past a number of things but this one seemed like it was going to be difficult. Despite that she didn't want to discourage him. She was fine.
She lingered where they were for a little bit longer until she finally looked away to keep looking for a bakery. There was the smell of bread in the air it was just a matter of finding out where it was coming from. Her eyes darted from sign to sign until it finally passed over something that caught her attention. As she turned back to get a better look she couldn't help but simply stare. There just outside the market sat the place she had just told Shun about. It was a decent sized tavern, the sign out front decorated with a bright red moon and gold letters spelling out the name around it. The Red Moon Tavern.

Shun caught that sad look in her eyes, though she tried to smile as well. He just squeezed her hand again, then followed towards the bakery. When double backed as something caught her attention, he turned to see what it was. It took a moment, but he soon spotted the tavern as well. He didn't need to be able to read perfectly to figure out what the place might be, thanks to the big red moon of a sign that was sitting outside of it.
"That's the tavern?" he asked, to be sure. So the place still existed after all this time. He made a mental note of its location so that they could explore it later on. Hopefully it wasn't one of those places where the ruffians tended to visit.
"We'll definitely visit that later when we have the chance," he offered.

Mitsu could only nod to Shun's question, her eyes locked on the sign sitting out front. When he said they would visit it later she seemed reluctant to move, her fingers clutching the basket tightly. They still had a responsibility to Jenna, she had to remind herself. The elderly werewolf had sent them out for groceries and it would be rude to keep her waiting on them.
Frowning slightly Mitsu finally nodded and turned away from the tavern and searched for the bakery. It didn't take too much longer to find it. The place had a number of baked goods from sweets to breads, fancy decorated cakes displayed in their windows. Mitsu only looked around briefly but it seemed she was focused on getting the bread and heading back to give the elderly couple their groceries. "Was there anything else?" Mitsu asked to be sure she hadn't forgotten anything, looking over the contents of her basket.
