Haruka gasped as the weapon flew from her hand. It slid across the arena and she watched in horror as Ezekiel leaped for it. Before he could get to it, however, another form picked it up. Haruka recognized it as the Hollow from earlier in the tournament.
"Please," she said levelly. "Give us the weapon. The Demon King must die. He's tormented and murdered long enough."

Cullingblade strode a step closer to Haruka, considering her carefully. She scoffed.
"Tch. I was going to give it to you anyway." She spun the blade gracefully, catching it by the tsuba and extending the long handle toward the Youkai.

Haruka looked at Cullingblade in wonder, and took the sword slowly. She didn't understand why the Hollow had a change of heart, but she was grateful. Sword in hand, she turned back to the Demon King. Clutching the sword in both her hands, she lifted it over her head, hesitated for a split second, then swung down powerfully on the demon's neck, severing his head from his body in one clean stroke.

The King screamed even after his head was separated from his body. It landed with a bloody smack on the ground, and the crowd erupted like never before. Daisuke and his allies waved nervously and smiled. No one spoke, though the question was on everyone's mind.
"What now?"
