Rose Byrne Rose closed her eyes, her hands stopping in the petting of Cutie. She sniffled slightly and wiped her eyes. "I do not see a way for me to grow from such a thing...." she said softly, her voice cracking and shaking. There was more that had happened after she had been found telling what happened. She wanted to talk about what else happened, even needed to, but she couldn't...

Cutie protested, but Jaegar slowly sat with Rose moving the small creature. He was gentle about it and Cutie sat on the sill watching curiously. Jaegar gently wiped her cheek and wrapped his long arms around her to hug her against his chest, if she tried to pull away he would not restrain her, " Now, now. I am certain, just as Gracelyn, something happened while we were locked away. We can only guess he has forbidden you to speak of it- which is not fair to you. You must talk it out. But you must long for change within and not focus on what is unobtainable out. If you do not wish it to hurt any longer, you must want it to not to. If you cannot whisper it to one of us, then you must speak with him. Tell him how it makes you feel, he will either appreciate your honesty and act of your words or will send you off and fester on them. This relationship between master and slave is give and take. Not take, take, take."

Rose Byrne Rose was startled at first when he pulled her into a hug, but let him, curling up towards him. Her tears continued to fall though as she listened to his words. She sniffled, closing her eyes. "Perhaps I should speak with him..." she said softly, her voice hoarse.
Rose sat there like that for a while before she wiped her eyes dry. "Do you suppose Gracelyn is alright?" she asked, worried about her, no matter what.

Marius took all of his will to keep from slamming the man against the plush-coated concrete wall of the studio. My kind? Ill bred half breed? Marius was fuming. Still his composure was still and seemingly calm. When the man left the room, he took the check and shredded it, using it as confetti to litter the floor of the studio.
He inhaled. "One...two...three...." He exhaled. "...Eight...nine...ten."
Now somewhat calm and collected, he went out to the dirigible and walked around the outside to the front cockpit where the two pilots sat in wait. Marius signaled them to come out.
"There is an elder man with glasses aboard this vessel right now. Learn his face, take a photo if you must. This man... is never to board my aircrafts ever again. Seeing as my zepplins are the only way to my home, and only you pilots hold the knowledge containing the location of my abode, if he comes near these dirigibles again...kill him. I shall provide you sanctuary from the law. Take no bribes from anyone, as you know I can pay you far more than anyone can offer. Also, when you make port, find the gypsy from the market and bring her back to me. Make sure she brings enough supplies."
Marius left his pilots with a nod and made his way back to the business room. He put on his happy face and graciously took payment from his guests. He escorted them out and watched as the craft went airborne. He locked up the studio and went to find Gracelyn.

Jaeger exhaled a slow breath, steadying his hand as he pulled the thread and flesh sewed back togther. Gracelyn's still form had been a large asset to so clean a suture, but he worried she was in shock. Cooing gently as he finished, neatly tying off the thread leaving a long black thread on against her pale ribs. Gracelyn's eyes were closed, jaw set as she bit down on a piece of cloth. He reached up and gently encouraged her to let go, her mouth opened without resistance and he set the cloth aside. His voice was a comforting purr, " There we are, Sister, all done. You barely bled at all and you're very lucky it wasn't deeper on either. You could have lost that eye if he'd been stronger." Jaeger carefully rolled the fabric of the red dress back down to cover her exposed skin. He fretted as he began to clean up the small mess he'd made. She had spoken not a single word this whole time, had barely moved beyond flinching from time to time. She looked at him, those beautiful brown eyes dim and away- swallowing as if words were trapped. " That was very scary, but you will live," the responsible twin comforted. His attention going to the door as their master entered. Jaeger stood and bowed slightly, " Darling Master, I did as best I could. I am no doctor but the stitching should leave little to no scarring." Gracelyn's eyes grew wide and she bowed her head. Her heart began to pound so loudly it was all she could hear. Long golden hair obscured her face from their beautiful master, her lower lip trembling. Swallowing as small terror began to grab at her, she didn't want him to see her cut cheek and swollen face. Tears welled in her eyes- the first emotion since deposited in the kitchen. Gracelyn's elegant shoulders drooped, a soft choking sob gasping from her. Marius would turn her away certainly for the trouble, for all the trouble her father had cause. He'd sell her off for the jagged gash over her right eye. She didn't want to go back to the cages, she began to tremble and wrapped her arms around herself. Tears plipping softly onto the sheer fabric, she didn't want to go. Jaeger gasped softly, putting a hand to his mouth. Seems that wall had broken at last. " Excuse me, Master... I will leave her to you." He quickly gathered the used materials and leaving the room to give them privacy. Jaegar smiled gently at Rose's worry on the tall sister. He got up and retrieved a warm washcloth and lovingly wiped her face free of streaks. This was something their mother used to do when they had been crying, he could certainly see why she'd done it. No one looked pretty when they cried or afterwards. " I am certain she is alright. Jaeger is great for taking care of people and Master will handle the problems with that ill behaved man. We just have to stay here until we're called otherwise. It was what we were told to do." He chuckled, the washcloth also removed a great deal of the blody glitter he'd been wearing. Though she did glisten with the pink and blue body glitter. He chuckled, smile big and mischievous, " Such a big heart you have, Sparkles."

Rose Byrne Rose closed her eyes as Jaegar wiped her face with the warm washcloth. It felt lovely and left her feeling much better. She certainly had cried a lot, which meant she was very tired, especially since it was so late. She yawned slightly, though she tried to fight it.
Rose carefully scooped up Cutie once more, petting him gently. She fought back a stray dry sob, something that happened occasionally after she cried. "I suppose you are right... We do have a... Good master..." Rose hesitated on the last part. When he called her Sparkles though, she looked at him in confusion, not knowing why he called her that.

Marius thanked Jaeger with a kiss for providing the first aid that Gracelyn so needed. He walked to her and cupped her sore face in his massive hands. So delicate she was, and so brittle like glass. It's a wonder she wasn't unconscious from how hard she had been struck. Marius couldn't help but give a wry half-smile as he brought her eyes to his.
"Well, that was fun, wasn't it?" he cackled. "I assure you the worst is over. You have nothing left to fear so long as you are in my home. Tonight was a freak incident, and shall never happen again, I promise. I will make sure you, as well as everyone in this house, is safe one-hundred percent of the time you are here."
The half-Bengal tiger looked to her wounds. "I have a healer coming to tend to you as well, though it seems Jaeger did perform wonders with that needle. She will come to make sure you have no pain. For now, you should go lay in your bed. I'm sure Jaeger and Rose, and your little fuzzball are worried sick thinking about your health. You should go comfort them as I'm sure they will comfort you. I will fetch you when the healer arrives."
As Gracelyn headed out of the kitchen, Marius retrieved a sterling silver serving tray from a high cabinet. He filled the matching pitcher with ice and cool water, then set it on the tray with five tall, slender glasses; one for each of them. He followed his houseguests up to the sienna-colored room and placed the tray on the table. He then excused himself and made his way back down to the business room where he began to record his earnings for the night.
With the checks in front of him, he soared past two-million dollars that night. He was satisfied, very much so, but just then he found no comfort in his material posessions. Then he remembered about the check that lay torn in the studio, and all of the treasures left astray. He stood and, after locking the business room, went to clean up the studio. From not knowing whose trinkets were whose, Marius gathered them all into one large box and set it aside to take up to his guests later. He cleaned all the trash left from the guests, as well as the now-void check from Gracelyn's...father. Marius couldn't even bare to think of such a word for the man. He was no father, he was an abuser. A deserter. For he deserted and abused Gracelyn, and that was not okay with Marius.
Then again, Marius was at war with himself. Had he not...with Rose?

Rose Byrne Rose looked up when every one came in. She grinned and got up, Cutie in her hands. She went to Grace and gently hugged her, placing Cutie on her shoulder. "Are you okay Grace?" she asked softly, worried about the one who she considered a sister. She watched Master Marius leave, wondering where he was going.
Rose hesitated at first before she quietly excused herself, going after their master. She found him in the studio, cleaning up. He seemed to have just finished doing so. She wondered where all trinkets were, but she supposed he had taken care of them. Slowly, she walked into the room. "Master Marius? May I speak with you?" she asked quietly and shyly.

She'd resisted at first, she hadn't wanted him to see. It had taken her several heartbeats before she dared look into his eyes. She'd sucked in her lips as he spoke, her nerves calming a small amount but she still held a tremor. At his order, she rose slowly and pressed her wet cheek against him a whimper of a 'thank you' barely a whisper, barely words and she walked to her room. She hugged Rose only a moment, nodding her head yes to the question. She felt numb, weary and nervous. She was so tired after not sleeping for so long, after performing, after... She swallowed thick tears and nodded when Rose excused herself. Going into the bathroom she washed her face, Cutie protesting with a click at getting wet but didn't move from beneath her chin. Gracelyn did not look up, she didn't want to see because she could feel it. Jaeger had not been joking about her eye. She changed her dress to something less revealing, put away the jewelry and slowly went to the bed. She looked at it for a long moment... which side would Rose want? Gracelyn lay on the side the door was on, she winced as pain ached through her ribs and lay on the side without. Cutie chirped. A brilliant touch of color had crossed Jaeger's face at the affection. He took care of the used items, put away the kit and chewed on his lip quietly. He didn't like private affection. He shared everything with Jaegar, just as Jaegar did with him. Jaeger hadn't waited for their Master or Gracelyn, he'd gone to where his brother was. " Jaeger!" " Jaegar!" They wrapped their arms around one another, Jaeger gently dipping his Jaegar as he blushed. " I was so worried you'd been hurt." " Now, now it takes more than a table to hurt me." " I don't know what I would do without you! My hero," Jaegar cried, wrapping his arms around Jaeger's waist. Jaeger lifted his brothers chin and their lips met for a long, dramatically satifying moment. Parting, their grins wild and hungry, Jarger cooed, " You need not worry, Jaegar. I will always be here." Cutie wrinkled his tiny nose, hopping onto the soft comferter, chirping and nudging her hand until she pet him. He purred adoringly as she ran her long nails through his chestnut fur. The twins sprang onto the bed and sat by Gracelyn. Jaeger going into graphic detail on how he'd saved her from her mortal wound. Jaegar was eating this up by the bucketful, eyes wide, one hand over his mouth and the other on Gracelyn's ankle for affection and sympathy. Jaeger served water to them all after coaxing Gracelyn to actually sit up and hold the glass. She still seemed a bit out of it, maybe he should have asked for alcohol for her.

Marius sat down on one of the sofas and threw his hands behind his head. He was so miserable, and he had no reason to be. He was filthy rich, owned five very unique slaves, and had everything he could ever desire. Life was easy, as he lived rule- and law-free. He closed his eyes and sighed.
When he heard the soft coo of a houseguest, he opened his eyes and saw Rose had entered the studio.
"Yes, Rose. What may I help you with?"

Rose Byrne Rose stood where she was a little awkwardly. She bit her lip before the words began tumbling out of her. She told him how she knew she shouldn't have been telling the twins of what happened in the pool, but how that event had traumatized and scared and that she had needed someone to speak to, to see what they had to say to help her. She told him that she had been very afraid of him after the pool, as nothing like that had ever happened to her before.
Rose admitted she felt she did deserve to be punished, and that she was grateful she hadn't been sold, but even so, she did still need someone outside of the whole thing to talk to. "They already suspect something happened when they got locked away... I need to talk it out though... I am not the kind of person who can bottle things away... I did not have anybody to talk to for years in the cages... And I hated that... Please... I'm begging you, let me talk to at least Grace, or the twins..." She didn't notice, but tears were rolling down her cheeks and she was shaking, her arms wrapped tightly around her slender frame.

The slaver listened with interest at the young raven's story. Marius was even more at war with himself than before. She was so damaged, and he had caused that. Not that he should feel ashamed. She was his to do as he pleased, regardless of her 'feelings.' She belonged to him, his property. He shouldn't care how they 'feel.' Though he couldn't help but feel so strongly for what had happened to Gracelyn. Shouldn't he had just felt nothing as he felt for what he had done to Rose?
When she finished, he lowered his head and thought about her request to speak to the others. No. He came to the conclusion they still couldn't know. Marius stood, slowly walked over to Rose, and shook his head.
"No, little one. You may not speak to them about what happened between us. Not about the pool, and most certainly not about your punishment night. I shall give you a journal so you may keep a diary. It shall be a locked one, and I shall hold one of the keys. No one is to read it, do you understand?"
Marius noticed that she had begun to cry, and held tightly to herself in defense. He sighed. "I do have another few ideas if you are open to them. Instead of a journal, I could arrange a pen-pal with another slave from a different home. Or, I have a healer coming to tend to Gracelyn. You may speak to her and perhaps she can lend her ear for some time."

Rose Byrne Rose did not know which of the options in talking would help her and whether or not any of them would truly last. It wouldn't be the same to her. She had to actually speak to someone, let out the emotions, and try to figure it out. Hesitantly, she told him that, too afraid to actually look at him.

"If you feel you need to speak to someone, then you will await my healer and she will be there for you to speak to. If this doesn't please you, I will arrange for you a pen-pal. You are forbidden to speak to any other slave in this house about what has happened. Am I understood?" Marius shook a finger at Rose and then stood, tall and proud. It was his home and he was to be obeyed at all times.
"Take that box up to Gracelyn's room. You and the others will divide it amongst yourselves as I am unaware of which treasure belongs to whom. Now begone."
Marius shooed Rose from the studio with the box in tow. He waited a few moments before leaving the studio himself and locking it. He headed over to the living room and started a warm fire. It was going to be a chilly night and he would need to remind his houseguests to begin their own fires in their rooms to keep warm. He sat with a novel in his lap on the sofa and awaited the arrival of Mirana, the gypsy healer.

Rose Byrne Rose hung her head further, at a loss for words. When he told her to take the box, she picked it up without a word. Shooed from the room, she headed back to the room she shared with Grace.
Once she reached the room, she set the box down and told the others quietly to divide it amongst everyone before she went to the bathroom, shutting and locking the door. She turned the shower on, so it would drown out her crying.
