Miranda started to smile and wrap her arms around him to. Then of course he ran away again. She mumbled curses under her breath. He made her want to and then left. He he did it again, she'd hit him. He was on the bed again now, looking the picture of innocence. Well she wouldn't play his game. She walked purpose fully to the closet to retrieve her clothes. He had put one of the tests on his stomach as she pulled on her T-shirt. "No I do not." she said curtly, trying to ignore him. However now thinking about it she hesitated. It was like a little thought at the back of her mind. After a few moments she turned and snatched it off him. "I'll be right back." she grumbled and stormed off to the bathroom

Luke was kind of disappointed that she said no. He could have swore that something was off, but if she didn't think it anything was off with her then maybe she wasn't pregnant. Then she stopped and agreed to it. Luke was a little surprised and would have followed her if she didn't tell him that she would be back. He now had to wait for the yes or no that he wanted to know.

(1,2 neg, 3,4 pos) Miranda returned after a few minutes. She looked at Luke with a kind of unsteady smile. "I'm pregnant." she said with a nod. She supposed she shouldn't be surprise, yet she still was. She wasn't sure how she felt yet. Happy? Yes. Nervous? Definitely. It was a little hard to imagine that their was a little life in her. But the test clearly told her so. Her hand went unconsciously to her belly. "We're going to have a baby." she said more brightly. She looked at his face to see his reaction.

When Miranda came back the man got up from his laying position to a sitting one. The look on her face concerned him, but he didn't say anything because she may be trying to freak him out. When she answered him his mouth dropped. She was pregnant and with his kid. It wasn't moment later that he was standing and had his arms around Miranda's shoulders. "I'm happy." He told her. Those words didn't fully describe how he felt about her having his baby.

Miranda was grinning now. She wrapped her arms around him. "I can't believe it!" she laughed, her head resting against his chest. She beam up at him. After a few moments she pulled way some. "I think we've got some preparing to do." she said thoughtfully.

Luke was not going to disagree. They now had to change what they were doing. No more little parties with drinks. "When Martha comes by today I'll ask her to get supplies and make dishes that will be healthy for you to have, but you know we wont be able to keep a baby a secret forever. When we start to buy what we need like diaper they'll find out."

"Or if Martha lets it slip when I start to show." she pointed out. She trusted the maid who cooked for them.... Mostly. "I'm sure we will be able to hide it for the first few months." A thought accured to her. "When they find out, do think they'll sent out someone to take us back to civilization?" she asked. The tone of her voice implied she didn't like the idea.

Luke trust Martha to keep her mouth shut. The maid knew that it was better that his parents learned about it from him then her. He understood Miranda's worries. He didn't want to leave her as well or the place they met. "Maybe we can use the baby to our advantage. We could ask that if we gave them a grandchild then would they leave us here, maybe get a car and our cellphones."

Miranda brightened a little at the thought. "That would be wonderful." she said. "I mean. I love it here, but I like the idea of having my freedom back." she admitted. She couldn't help but wonder aloud though. "It seems kind of odd that they expect use to just make a baby and then leave as if nothing ever happened." she mumbled and shuddered. "I couldn't imagine that." She could actually see it clear. Luke and her together with a family. Anything else seemed impossible

Luke smiled. He was sure that he could move an office into the house for him to work. They would have to add some rooms too. They'd need a couple of rooms for the baby and any other children they wanted along with bathrooms and an office. The man remembered something from the map they used long ago. He pulled her hand out of the house and towards the mailbox that they never used. Luke had looked what the X on it was for and he knew want the was reaching in for when he did so. A velvet box came with his hand. He got on one knee and showed her the ring inside. "Miranda Delerosa will you become Miranda Chandler?" He asked her.

Miranda humored him as he took her outside. "What is it now?" she said, with a suspicious smile. He went directly to the mailbox, which was odd. They never got any mail. As far as anyone knew they're was no one hear. She had argued how redundant it was. However, as he pulled out a small little box her breath caught. It seemed to go in slow motion as he knelt and opened the box, revealing the stunning ring inside. She choked on her words a bit, but was nodding. She swallow back her tears. "Yes!" she said jubilantly.

He grabbed his bride at her waist and kissed her belly. "Now we can be one complete family." He then stood up and made his way to his lover's lips and kissed them. "I love and I'll make sure you and the baby have everything you need." He promised her.

She smiled and held him close. "I love you too." she said, with a laugh. With him, she knew they would work everything out. "I will be with you every step of the way." she replied. She look down at the ring, now on her finger. To think all those times she envied those little families she'd seen around the world, now she would have one of her own.

Luke smiled and rocked around with her. "Should we put our plan in action now?" the man asked his bride. "The sooner we do the sooner that the sooner we know we can stay here. We'll have to add some rooms, but we can stay here."
