Hattori wriggled his hands around, trying to get a grip on any one of the rope segments. He gritted his teeth; it was incredibly difficult to get two fingers on anything at the same time! What am I going to do, Hattori thought, I know what this knot looks like- and it is certainly a b***h of a knot. If I could only just- reach... this strand...

Hattori's two index fingers both secured a strand of rope, but it required him to contort his wrists in an awful fashion to get them there. He wiggled his fingers on the rope strand. Ever so slightly, he was edging it out little by little, he could feel it.

A little tug on his wrist illicted and an irritated expression on the boy's face. Dammit, wrong strand. That one is tightening the loop on my left wrist. Hattori groaned, and attempted to probe the knot once more.

The student found himself able to grasp another strand. This time he didn't begin tugging on it right away. Hattori became pensive- Think, Hattori. Is that a knot that will make a difference? The thoughtful academy student focused on his mental three-dimensional model of the knot, then nodded. This is the one.

Yet again, the same knot that Radagon has done over and over again had worked, which now was sitting on his desk in front of him. This was the same knot that he had made before, his so called improvement on the teacher's knot, as it completely restricted hand movement. The knot did have one twist this time, as it had a large loop that came out of it. This was to make it seem like he had failed to make it a proper knot, but if one were to pull the loop in either direction, the knot would then begin to squeeze down on the victims hands, cutting off blood flow and possibly doing some permanent damage to them. It wasn't a bad knot, but Radagon really thought this knot was way to easy to break out of. It would only take a second for someone to realize that there was something up with the loop they were pulling before they stopped, and then went to find other ways to make it break. All in all, Radagon did complete another knot, so he was happy about that. This made it his fourth knot now, so he was getting closer to completing the task. He was making a much better progress than he was doing before, that time when the knots were totally against him.

Radagon had started yet another knot, and once again he had passed. This time he had went for a row-line knot, the kind used in rowboats that were used to keep the oars from easily falling off the boat. This was used for only a few kinds of rowboats, but Radagon thought that it was at least a different pace than he was used to. He had made the knot, but he didn't really like it as it was used for a time before people put oars in their boat, or just had the things hooked into small holes that it couldn't fall out. Either way, this was another knot under Radagon's belt that he had done right, and that meant he only had five more to go. Radagon was glad he was much closer now, so he decided to just take a small break, letting his hands rest from rubbing against the rough line of rope. His hands were already starting to feel a little rope burn, but it was nothing he couldn't handle for now. He felt a little at peace, but maybe it was because it was the fall now, and things were getting chilly out every day that it made it feel a little more peaceful than usual. In any case, Radagon needed to keep up with his work so he went on again to make another knot after he pulled the previous one apart.

Radagon had completed his sixth knot now, leaving only four more to go. This time Radagon had gone for something a bit tougher. He had thought about a snake when it curls around its victims, and thought then of making a boa knot. The boa knot was used to tighten around small object that were round in shape so that they would be fastened together. Not really a knot you wanted to use to restrict someones hands, but it was better than no knot at all. This knot was much more simpler than the last couple knots he did, so that meant he was able to pull the knot apart much easier since it didn't have as many loops in it as a bowline knot or a row-line. Once the knot was loosened at pulled back into being a regular length if rope, Radagon put a hand to his chin so that he could think on what he wanted to do next. This time he wanted to make a very large set of knot that could hang small objects, sort of like a long weave of a basket knot, but this one was going to not work as Radagon would need a much longer piece of rope than the one he had to do this, so he tossed the idea away. Deciding to just work on what he knew, Radagon went to just try his hand at another bowline knot.

Radagon completed yet another bowline knot, the same one he had made to better restrict a persons hands. He grunted one it was completed, then stared at the mass of yarn before finally beginning to take the thing apart and setting it back down on his desk. While he did this, he thought back to a time when his father and mother were both in the academy many long years ago. They had both been very smart and were passing their tests one after another with near perfect scores. It wasn't a surprise that when they graduated that great things were coming their way. Radagon's father explained that once he had made chuunin, he had already started his research on jutsu. He had only baby theory's at the time, but he was getting noticed by the research board and had been invited ti join them. Radagon's mother had taken up a didn't career path. She had slashed and sut her way all the way till she became a black ops ninja, ANBU. Much of what she did then she never told Radagon, and possibly his father for that matter, but Radagon was scared sometimes the way she looked at a kitchen knife.The one thing that he had never asked his parents was how they met and got married. The only thing they had ever mentioned on the subject was that they had gone on a mission together, but would say nothing about it. Radagon wanted to know, but he knew it was going to be like asking a pair of brick walls on that. In any case, Radagon picked up his rope once again and began working on the knot task once more.

Radagon had now completed eight of his ten knots, and so he was so close to victory he could taste it. If he was able to get this done early and get home, then he could help his father on whatever project he was on now, and possibly start one of his own. The knot that he had made now was a pull knot. This one had a knot at the end of the rope that would be wrapped around something, and a pulley end of the rope that when pulled, made it tighter at the end of whatever it was tied to. This was a good knot for doing small repairs and stuff, like if a wooden pole had broken at one point and this knot was used to fasten the broken pieces together till it was fixed. Taking out his journal from before, he began to write down how exactly to make this knot and the steps to take like he did with that other knot, that way he could study it and use it later. Once done writing it down, Radagon put his journal to the side of his desk next to the rope. This way if he had another thing to write down he had his journal close at hand. He had that journal for a long time now, as his father gave it to him when he was able to start writing by himself. Radagon hadn't really wrote much in the thing as he was much too busy with his school work, but he figured that once he was out of the academy, that he would be writing down a lot more ideas into the journal than he was doing now. In any case, Radagon had better keep up with his work, otherwise he'd be left behind in his work again.

“Ah HA! It’s one of those knots. That’s a really good one to use in a situation like this. It’s rather difficult to escape, which does not bode well for me… Let’s see if anyone else has the same knot as I do, and see if they have come up with any tricks.” Looking around, Hizen noticed that many of the other students had already escaped their bonds and were leaving the exam room. ”Ugh… I need to work faster. This knot is really tight and hard to work.”

As he continued working, Hizen came to an unfortunate realization. ”Uh oh… These rope are tightening the more I wiggle and work. That is not good. I need to move slowly and get in a better position so that the bindings don’t tighten too much.” Hizen slowly rolled his arms, trying to move his hands into a better position for gripping and working the knot. As he was able to wiggle his hands up just a bit higher, Hizen realized that he was lucky to have taken it slowly. There was another knot, just above the first one, designed to keep one of the key loops on the second knot from slipping.

"Cling, clang.." Yoshinaga chimed as he glared at Kuro, "Go the chains." The beads of blood began to flow from the crown of his skull as the hymn filled the air and the room's color began to distort in color and shape. Eyes rolling back and a smile that spread from corner to corner, Yoshinaga continued to sing the warden's call, a crooked finger extending to point towards the door of the classroom. As though a cold hand had gripped his spin, Kuro would do nothing in return but walk out of the class and return to the hallway that haunted him everyday.

"Do you honestly believe that this is acceptable? That I would simply look it over because you flash some cleavage and flirt?" Yoshinaga questioned flushed with excitement and rage alike, his bulging eyes switching between Kuro and Miyuki rapidly before glancing over the entire class. Oh how he wanted to take the girl where she stood but he had all those other pests still here... How could she do this to him? Why would she make a fool of him in front of the entire class as though it was nothing but a whimsy. "You both will stay after class for detention and to take the test again." He growled as a delicious thought came to mind and a disgusting grin spread across his face. However it didn't last long before Kuro defiantly started to walk away. Appalled, the sensei reached out to grip the boy's arm and haul him back but the strength of Kuro was too much and Yoshinaga found himself being pulled instead.

Huffing out, "Kuro. Kuro where do you think you are going? KURO!" The sensei howled out to the deafened boy before moving towards his desk to prepare a set of ropes to stop the child with, but as the boy made his way out the door and practically disappeared the sensei became subdued and all that were watching would forget the existence of Kuro. Siting down, Yoshinaga motioned for Miyuki to sit in the desk in front of his. "You. Wait there til class is other."

Before Takuya would be able to make it too far, Jynn will reach out to stop her and motion back to the academy. "The warden is waiting." Will be all that the boy would say before returning to the hallway. Subdued with that alone, Takuya shall return almost as if in a trance.

Making it almost to the exit of the academy, the solid wall to your side shall ripple and a hallway visible only to you shall appear. Together, you and Bou shall return to the nightmare that is the hallway.

"Don't stop...
Flee the chains...
The last chance to escape.."

The children will cry in song to the boy when he exits the academy. As usual the hallway that no one else sees will be in sight for him, however should he look behind him the hallway shall await him as well and before him the hallway will extend and to his right again the hallway stretches out of sight. Loric now stands at the cross roads of the hallways...
There's no more time for fear
Cling clang, Know the chains
The last sound that you'll hear

Setting
Music Theme: Click
Description: A dark, eerie hallway with a slightly opened doorway at the end. The lights at the end flicker on and off and the feeling of dread fills the air around it. One may notice a single icy breath when they near but that will be all.
[Visual of the Hallway]

Quote:
The Warden's Hallway:
--Finally released from the sweat shop that is class, you are directed to leave the academy through the front entrance. However before you can make it to the exit and taste the fresh air from the world outside a flicker in the shadows grasps your attention and the sound of childlike laughter taunts your ears. Turning to where the assault originated from, you will notice a long hallway that you hadn't noticed before... at the end of the hallway a single door stands slightly ajar as the light above it flickers on and off.

Step 1: Resisting Temptation.
... 200 Words. You will feel yourself being overcome by a dark touch, an evil whisper that beckons you to find it beyond the door. Will you be able to resist it's call... do you even want to?

PC Formula: 50 + [Will Power(5) - 50]/10

Success: You may Choose to leave the academy and enter the Hidden Village Thread or you can continue down the hallway and see what awaits beyond the door.

Failure: You have No Choice as the pull of whatever is hidden beyond overcomes you and without your consent your body moves to find out whats behind the door.

Failure by 30+: You are sent screaming in fear out of the academy. 400 Words to recover yourself and must succeed the following check:

PC Formula: 50 + [Will Power(10) - 50]/10

Each time you fail, your base chance is increased by 5. Someone can choose to soothe you. This takes 200 words and has a 50% chance.

----------------------------------------

Step 2: The Run.
... 600 Words. As you begin to walk down the hallway, whether by choice or unwilling submission, the explicit feeling of the walls moving and the ground stretching will begin to haunt you. Should you look back you will notice that the exit is no longer in sight as the hallway extends behind for an eternity while the door never comes nearer as you attempt to make it there.

PC Formula: 50 + [Agility(2) vs 1000]/10

Success: You are able to make it to the door.
Fail: The expanse of space between you and the door doesn't seem to get closer and now the exit to the academy is just as astronomically far...

Note: Figure a different way out... Once you have failed the first check you may now attempt any form of way that is possible and logical to you. Requires 200 words to attempt and only after you may you consult a mod to find out what would be the PC Formula.

----------------------------------------

Step 3: Cross Roads.

The Hero: Loric
The Hunter: Jynn
The Prey: Takuya // Shiro // Kuro

Welcome back to the Warden's Hallway. The Hero shall find himself at the cross roads of the hallway at the end of each hallway is a door that leads to another part of the Warden's jail. Selecting one of the paths the hero will begin his journey.

PC Formula: 1D4
1 = -100 To Tracking
2 = -50 To Tracking
3 = No Modifiers
4 = +50 To Tracking

For the Hunter:
PC Formula: 1D4
1 = -50 To Tracking
2 = No Modifiers
3 = +50 To Tracking
4 = +100 To Tracking

Who shall the Hero find? Will he find those that seek him for protection or possibly spiteful hatred? Or will he find the villain that he must save himself and the others from?

----------------------------------------

Step 4: The Game.
In this game the Hero must find and save the Prey from the Hunter. Should he succeed everyone will be saved from the grasps of the Warden's Chains. However should the Hunter find the Prey first or get the Hero, all shall fall deeper into the Warden's Jail.

The entire academy is void of life and is open for you to roam, search and hide in. The walls and floors of the building shall seem alive, will move and warp at will as unnerving sounds shall fill the halls and lights shall find themselves without power at the oddest of times. Visions of deranged looking creatures shall flood your sight from time to time and the smell of rotting bodies shall assail your senses.

Rules:
The post order shall be Loric > Jynn > Takuya > Kuro > Shiro > Warden

Know one knows what role they are or anyone else, they will just be compelled to play the character given to them.

The Prey's job is to hide from everyone else. Prey can not interact with other prey, they will simply never meet RPically unless brought together by the Hunter or Hero. Should they interact with the Hunter or Hero they are to struggle, fight back and/or run away from them. Remember, your character is Hostile and Anti-social now and has a deep hatred towards the Hero(Escaped this hell while you didn't) and Hunter(Was embraced by this hell while you wasn't).

The Hero/Hunter's job is to find and subdue each Prey. Once they do, the next step will begin. Should the Hero or Hunter meet each other they may work with each other until they figure out who they really are - Contact GM if you meet and keep GM to date so to react properly-.
--- To select who you are tracking roll a 1D4. The defending party gets to respond during their own post. The warden will edit your post to reflect how the hallway changes your actions.
PC Formula: 1D4
1 = Hero/Hunter
2 = Shiro
3 = Takuya
4 = Kuro

The Warden's job is to present new challenges throughout the process to make the RP more interesting.

PC Formula: 50 + [Hunter/Hero's Tracking - Prey Stealth]/10

Note: Based upon how the RP is done the Prey/Hunter/Hero will gain or loose points to their PC, as such make your RP post BEFORE rolling.

Should this last more than 5 Rounds, The Warden will present a way for the Prey to beat the Hunter/Hero themselves.

~*Radagon Mimuria*~

Radagon had made his ninth knot now. He was one away from being done with his task and going home for the day. It felt good to finally be able to pass at something so quickly, as his attempt a month ago was just plain horrible. The day he had returned from school to go home after that knot making lesson, his father had been in his 'lab' making a new ninja tool; the poker, as he called it. It was a tool that had a hooked end of it, with a long metal shaft and a cloth wrapped handle. But, the shaft could extend and the ninja using the tool could use the hook end to grab vital documents and other things with it. The name poker came from Radagon's mother, who was poked by accident in the back by it and had used to to severely poke the hell out if his father. Radagon had remembered that day, as it was happening right when he walked through the front door after coming home from school. Radagon had never laughed so hard in his life when he watched that, and he wondered if his future may contain more laughter. But he had never thought about what his life was going to be like once he had graduated. He had heard that students who had passed on to becoming genin were put into groups and began going on to missions together. The only life Radagon had ever known was living in the village. He wondered how the real world was, but he had a good clue just from thinking about the knots that they were making. Seeing how he had wasted enough time thinking about the past instead of the future, Radagon grabbed the rope to try and make his final knot to pass his work.

Hizen grimaced as the ropes tightened yet again. ”Man. This is a lot harder with that second knot there. Wait a minute. That knot seems to be in the wrong orientation.” Hizen carefully ran his fingers over the knots another time. ”Ah Ha! That second knot is upside down. I need to strain it in the opposite direction to get it free.” Finally making some progress, Hizen shifted his weight back and forth enough to tip the chair over backwards. Now resting on his back, Hizen was able to unravel the top knot so that he could begin to really work on the main knot holding him captive in his chair.

Moving on to the knot that was holding him in the chair, Hizen found that the extra slack granted by unraveling the holding knot gave him plenty of extra rope to use to work the main knot free. Carefully pulling the loop that now had the extra slack, Hizen was able to slide the knot’s locking loop out of position and finally get the knot unraveled, freeing himself from his bindings. Quickly standing up, Hizen coiled the rope that had been used to bind him, tying a simple knot at the end to secure the loop. He approached the desk where Yoshi-Sensei was waiting and placed the coil of rope on the desk before leaving the classroom.

Radagon actually failed his chance to do a knot this time. And things were going so well too. Well, Radagon should had figured that he was going to have to run into this sort of problem at some point, so not much of a surprise that he would hit a snag right at he end. The failed knot was just a horrible look of what a knot should never look like. It looked like a knots disgusting twin brother. Grabbing the mess, Radagon made sure to untie every noose and loop to make it straight again. It was such a pain to untie this thing, as he had first tried to go with a bowline knot, but for some reason when he was half way through making the knot he suddenly wanted to make a boa knot, and so he got that mess in a real quick time. Radagon was only on his last knot, not like he had other plans at least. Taking a moment, he looked outside the window and saw that it was still early in the morning, but the frost that had been on the windows were gone, as the sun had melted it off the window edges. If Radagon hurried up, he could possibly take stroll around the village to see what was up within the streets. He actually, after thinking about it, had never really walked around the streets of the village to see where everything is. Because he had nothing to do today once he was done with the task at hand, Radagon figured his should begin taking in the sights so he knew at least every nook and cranny he could find. But, first things first, he had to finish the last knot to do. So, picking up the rope from the desk, Radagon began working on his last knot once more.

Radagon was finally done with his work, and he had made another bowline knot too. Now that he was done with his task, as well as his test, he could finally leave the academy and go do something for the rest of the day. First he stood up and grabbed the knotted rope he had and went over to the teachers desk, then placed the knot on the desk and turned to where the teacher was. "Sensei, I am done with the knot test we had a while ago, and I will be taking my leave. Thank you." Radagon said to Yoshi-sensei, taking a bow of respect to the man before returning to his desk and picking up his journal and bag and heading out the door. As he walked down the hallway to the front door, Radagon wondered where he should go to first. He first thought about just heading home first to drop off his things and head out, but then all he had with him was his bag of stuff, so he thought he might just go out and see what was going on the village. Once Radagon reached the front door, he opened it and was hit with a cold breeze, though not as cold as it was a while ago. Reaching into his bag, Radagon pulled out his coat he had stuffed into it earlier and put it on.

Miyuki sighed walking over to the area which Yoshi-sensei had designated for her and Kuro to hang out until detention began. “Damn…,” The young girl muttered barely audible while watching Kuro as he walked away defiantly with the look of an uninterested drone. ‘It is not any of my business,’ the girl shook her head lightly trying to forget she was a part of this mess of a situation. Kuro was only making the situation worse for Miyuki with his rebellious behavior.

‘At least,’ Miyuki zipped her blouse up, ‘I do not have to play this game anymore.’ She could easily call off her charade at the present moment. In fact, this was the perfect timing to do such a thing. It would be nice to experience being a regular student; though, it would be drastically more difficult. “I will think about it,” She groaned while setting her head down in her palm.

Loric headed out of the class room after having more or less aced the difficult challenge that his jerk of an instructor had given him. Although his wrist still burned from the chaffing he was none the less proud of himself for rising to the occasion. "You did good Rizu, a steak for you when we get home, hows that sound buddy?" he chimed as he unzipped his jacket, allowing his pet dog Rizu to hop down onto the ground next to him. Continuing towards the exit, Lorics high spirits slowly became clouded by the ominous presence of the unknown. At first it was just a feeling, something that he couldn't exactly put into words but it quickly grew into much more. He could hear it, the exact same laughter from that day over a month ago. He had since then been trying to convince himself that it had all been just a dream, he had talked to a few people in class about it and everything that he had spoke to had completely dismissed it, even those that he was sure had witnessed it with him, or at least he thought they did, hell most of them acted as though he was offending them for even asking. "Don't stop... Flee the chains... The last chance to escape.." The words seemed to call out from a realm of darkness and corruption, calling to him, beckoning him into its embrace. Turning around he followed the voice down the hall. An urge was coming over him, something compelled him to walk fearlessly towards it, not to be taken over, but to defeat it. His heart swelled with courage, he didn't know why, nor did he know exactly what he had to do but somehow he knew that there was something that absolutely needed to be done, he was after all the hero.

The hallway turned and twisted as Loric moved down the hallway, however this time the door wouldn't move farther away. For Jynn who stood on the other side of the door he would feel an uncomfortably warm presence near him, compelling him to move away from it, to flee it or fear the light that it would shed on his world. The chains would no longer clink for him.
