Junko was frittering about making sure everything was going smoothly. Mostly she was keeping the gnomes away from the punch. Students were having fun, she could see them dancing and socializing and having a good time. It made her happy. She was wandering past the dance floor when she spotted him. Junko could recognize Seiji in any sized crowd no matter what he wore. He had that faint glow to him, and that outfit. Junko stopped, just staring. He...he was wearing..really?! He..wow! She had told him he didn't have to match her and...and he did it anyway! Junko grabbed the front of her skirt, avoiding the glowing roses in the process, and lifted it enough to get it out of the way of her feet. "Seiji?!" She gasped, eyes wide and jaw dropped. "Oh my Jack...Seiji! You look..wow!"

Mar concentrated as little as possible on the failures, and as much as possible on just feeling the movements and learning how to mimic them. It was great. Suddenly, it also occurred to her: "The dance is different if it's being led, versus followed, isn't it?" So that meant if she wanted to try this again, she would have to find someone who could lead. Because she sure couldn't. She started to watch Mot's dancing as well, in the hopes that she could figure out what he was doing.
That wasn't going to help, really-- it was distracting. "Guess nobody would be watching, would they," Mar added, punctuated by a bit of laughter. Naturally it wasn't as though there would suddenly be a spotlight, and her failure as a dancer would come under scrutiny. The spin made Mar a little dizzy, but it was absolutely the best part. "Spin me again, Mot?" she requested, enthusiastic.
"I have no idea which direction we're moving in anymore, or where we even are on the dance floor, but I don't think I care!" she could pretty much do this forever, because it was keeping her awake, and she needed fairly little sleep in the first place. On the other hand, Mot wasn't a ghost, was he? So he would need to rest eventually. "Let me know if you get tired, okay? Or hungry, or thirsty, or-- well, you know, sick of catching me," though she hadn't fallen in a while. Making a new friend was pretty awesome, and she didn't want to ruin it by dancing with him until he fainted or something.

Rikki slipped his mask on at the last minute. It was a simple black piece that had a small silver chain hanging from the bridge of his nose to the edge of his mask. The cool metal brushed along his skin as he moved, and he scrunched up his face as he adjusted to the feeling.
He'd missed prom the first time, and he'd honestly never pictured himself going to one, but to escort Danny in her pretty little dress was more than worth it. "Ready as I'll ever be," he smiled as she pulled him through the doors. He couldn't help but choke on a laugh at Roch's abused face.
"Could be any one of them. If I was a ghoul I'd leave a nice handprint too."

To be honest, Kiwi was a bit nervous himself. He'd never had another ghoul, Famine-bred or otherwise, clinging so to his arm. But it helped to know he wasn't the only one with moths fluttering in his stomach. The horseman scanned the crowd, searching for anyone he knew.
Her question caught him by surprise. "Oh, well ... usually a victory over the humans, and a safe return." He tensed a bit on the word, his fingers digging into his palm. It occured to him that he hadn't voiced such a thing with anyone since arriving in Amityville, other than the brief discussion he had had with Eisheth. He still felt uncomfortable talking about it. He despised the humans, even the very sound of their name on his tongue. And ... well, it was no secret now, the FEAR that had been harvested by each of the Four Clans, the FEAR that had destroyed them ... but still ... a great part of him held such clan business sacred. He didn't wish to go into detail about it. Especially on an occasion made to forget such troubles. He turned to Willow, offering her a smile. "We would always dance together, with instruments and voices rising, singing our praises and gratitude to the powers that be. And gather together to eat and share stories into the night."
Kiwi's smile broadened as he saw Faiyum and another clanswoman approaching, and he dipped his head in greeting. "A pleasure to see you Fai. Yes we were, and who's this lovely lady at your side?? I don't believe we've met."
He listened patiently as Heidla introduced herself. A Death priestess?? That was an intriguing match. He chuckled softly. "So some would think, we do keep a close community. Nice to meet you Heidla, I'm glad to know Famine aren't the only ones here." He smiled. Her tenacity was amusing, in a good way.

It was a masquerade… Didn’t the song go like…paper faces on parade…take a guess at the face behind? Hide your face so the world will never find you? Something like that. That’s what prom meant, right? Hel felt really stupid right about now, as she stood in the door way where prom was well under way. She could recognize almost everyone…and she thought the point was to be incognito. Oh well. This might work to her advantage still. She had been himming and hawing about coming, all things considered. Would anyone have cared if she didn’t? The thought of letting someone down though dragged her out of her room…and here. The reaper just wasn’t feeling it right now though. The ghoul shuffled off to the side and took to leaning against the wall with her arms wrapped around her stomach as she looked out over everyone. She only lasted thirty seconds before she was pushing off the wall and heading back towards the exit.

Roch snorted, moving closer just long enough to whisper, "My date is a jackin' psycho." Then he paused. "Either of you got a mirror on you?" he asked, reaching up and touching his face. "How bad is it?" His fingers started glowing slightly with FEAR, indicating he was going to heal it right then and there. Then he stopped. Restroom was a good excuse to lose Bacca for a bit. "Never mind. I'll find a mirror." Then he started off again. [EXIT]

Willow's tail twitched as her ears lowered a bit. The mention of humans and the fact Kiwi tensed, it had her glancing around for a second. "I see." It was a bit of a tense answer after having seen the visions, she could only image what sort of things went on.
There was a chuckle though, "I'm not sure there'll be any praises sung but I'm sure there'll be singing along." She was watching those dancing while listening to the horsemen talk "I would've loved to been able to spend more time on each of the clan's islands. Each seemed so different, I was interested in learning the culture of each." She admitted when Kiwi was finished.
She smiled when Fai and his date appeared. "Eveing Fai, nice to meet you Preistess Heilda." She greeted giving a small bow of respect, towards the death horsewoman. She heard the mention of freak show and couldn't help but giggle a little, "No, no freaks yet. If the punch gets spiked, again, there might be some questionable behavior though."
She looked at Fai and Kiwi and in all seriousness asked, "You did leave those potions at home this time right?"

"Fairly different. You might need a partner who knows what they're doing." That wasn't to say she couldn't try though. Practice makes perfect, after all. Mot smiled and laughed, spinning the ghoul a couple more times since she seemed to enjoy it so much. It made him happy that she seemed to be enjoying herself. "It stops mattering when you have fun." Mot assured her, dancing in circles throughout the crowd. Really this had been good for them both. He stopped soon after she asked if he was tired, catching his breath after all the movement. "Actually I am a bit tired." He said with a chuckle. "How about a drink?" The sweet smell from the refreshment table wafted over like a siren calling, though it was mixed in blessings. A lovely spread, but the faint scent of cinnamon was detected. At first he thought maybe Hel was around, since she often smelled of the spice. No, probably not Hel. Though he wondered if she would show. "Punch?" He asked, leading her to the punch bowl. "And um.. not the physical kind. The fruity sort."

Danny blinked a few times as Roch rushed past them. "Musta been Baccabalclablabla." She slipped a little on the name, okay. Roch had only mentioned it once and she couldn't remember! "She's a horseman ..."
Everyone was dancing! Danny wanted to danceeee! She dragged Rikki out to the floor and as she was doing so, spotted Gene.
After running over to the ghoul, Danny said, "Geeeeeeeene! You look so pretty!!" She patted Rikki's arm and said, "Oh you guys haven't met huh. Gene was on my team for the horseman trials." Hopefully that wasn't stirring up memories for anyone else.

Heidla nodded politely to everyone. " You're definitely more experienced in social life than I am ", she added with a smirk." For me, everyone here is kind of freakish. And I don't remember any decent tradition involving masks". For the indecent part, she decided to keep silent. There might be something to add to that side, of course. Then something the ghoul said caught her attention. "Potions?" Heidla remembered her own not quite successful experiments and giggled. " Are you going to stage some Famine-inspired experiment? I'm in! Always wanted to see you, guys, in action". This was definitely starting to be fun.

Titus smirked at the vampire. " Impressive indeed. And I thought I had a way with people." Though as the crowd was beginning to disburse the demon was looking for something else to do. His 'date' was off somewhere but he needed to refocus on his goal. Not being uncomfortable with ghouls. As he scanned the crowd for a possible victi.....ghoul, his eyes settled on a petite creature who kept herself by the door. It was hard to tell if this ghoul was a phantom or undead or...anything really she was clad from head to toe but maybe that would be an advantage. Titus could pretend it wasn't as awkward when he couldn't see her face. Finally urging himself forward the demon moved through the crowd trying to tell himself to play polite. It wasn't like he didn't know how. He put up a facade when the adults were around this would be no different. Reaching the ghoul as she began to turn Titus lightly placed a hand on her shoulder. Putting on an actually charming smile he looked down at the masked ghoul with a look that didn't belong on his face. It actually looked caring. " You know the Prom is much more fun when you move a little further in."

It was okay, Nuru still danced up on Zar to the best of his abilities. Whether or not he just stood there like a pole glaring at the barghest's strange wiggling.

Gene was partying like it was 1999, and would have done so all night if Danny, one of her better friends, hadn't pulled her out of her craze. Oh...she was with her boilfriend! It was bound to happen, of course, but Gene had simply forgot he existed during the space between prom talk and prom time. He was a fairly cute fellow, really~
"Oh, good to meet you, ah...Danny you spaced on his name." The Doppelganger giggled and kissed Danny's cheek, before bursting out in some elegant spins, making her dress twirl and almost reveal her underthings. Almost. "Danny, you look pretty fab as well! I knew that dress would look amazing on you." Another little twirl, and she was on Danny's other arm. "Thanks for convincing me to come, hon. I needed this~"

"Alas, we used all our potions when experimenting on the scarelings earlier," Fai said with a wistful sigh. "It was great entertainment while it lasted, though, don't you agree, Kiwi?" he asked the other famine horsemen. "I really should begin concocting some of my own... but I find this world, rather than freakish, fascinating. They have wondrous items called... ph... on ees. I would like to see what other things they might have, as well. Tell me, darkling, what sort of place do you come from?" he asked Willow.

So close to the door and a light hand was on her shoulder. Was it Mot!?The thought was frightening and hopeful at the same time, though as she turned to see, and then heard his voice, her blood run cold. Titus.Wait. Wait…was he…smiling at her not-mockingly? Actually using a caring tone? Was…was she dreaming? Was this really Titus? Was he trolling her or…did he not know who she was? Hel took a moment to think about that. Was her attire really…that convincing? If it was that would be… Awesome. Hel was never in too bad of a mood to troll. Always trolling Titus. Never not trolling Titus. But the point was…she couldn’t be herself…or that’d give it away! Think Hel, think…be…a ghoul that’s not yourself…The hand that had been twitching to punch him instead came up to cup her masked cheek. Come on Hel, channel a pretend ghoul. The reaper used a lighter tone in her voice, fighting hard to keep the Norse accent out of it. Her voice was muffled by the mask too, which helped. “…Oh…really?” Okay, that was lame…but she was trying. Give her a break.
