Kaori's ears twitched as Austin approached. She could smell the food and despite her desire to curl up into a ball and sleep, she sat up and stretched. She realized that the muscles in her thighs and butt were sore the moment she moved. She felt like she had gone horseback riding without a saddle. "mmmm" she groaned as she stepped out of the covers and stretched again. "Are you guys sure I wasn't riding a horse last night instead of a cowboy?" She said sarcastically. She walked around the bed and waited till Austin had set the trays down to give him a hug and a small kiss on the cheek. Every movement she made was painful but she was happier than she had been in a long time. She felt great for some reason and somehow more relaxed.

Austin returned the kiss on the cheek. "No hooves or tail, hun," he replied teasingly. "But you certainly look saddle sore. I'd offer to massage the knots out, but I can't be certain where it would lead. Maybe you and Nixie could hit the spa while I fetch a few things for our group date tonight." "Sounds like a good idea," Nixie agreed. "We need to look our best tonight. But so do you, Cowboy. Your old chaps and spurs aren't going to cut it."

The memory of what had caused Kaori to persuade Austin into bed that night came back in a rush but she composed herself instantly "Maybe you can massage them out later tonight." She said with a wicked grin. "What exactly were you planning on picking up anyways?" She picked up one of the lids on the trays and smelled seafood so she put the lid back down and slid it to Nixie. Then she picked up the other one and sat down with it on her lap. Sitting down again reminded her of the pain. She made a mental note to sit down a bit lighter the next time.

"Well, you can't walk into a club like that with off-the-rack costumes," Austin replied with a wink. "I need to get some supplies to make a few custom accessories. It'll be a surprise." "You were always good with your hands," Nixie teased, taking the lid off one of the dishes. Inside was a salmon and spinach egg-white omelet. "And now I know that the innuendo is true too."

Kaori looked up at Austin suspiciously but decided that he had the right to keep it a secret. She went back to the food on her plate and smiled to herself. She gave a giggle at Nixies quip about Austin. "You know I'm not usually fond of surprises." She said "but... for you I'll make an exception."

Austin grinned like a mischievous little boy who just got approval to bring home a lizard. "I'll make sure you like it," he assured her. "Anyway, you lovely ladies should go to the spa. Miss Prince-Hughes, I'm sure you have business to attend to, and Miss Kaori, you have your project at the chalet." "Austin," Nixie interjected. "You can call me Nixie. We are, after all, on rather intimate terms now. And moreover, I'd rather not be reminded of my late husband every time you want to talk to me." "Fair enough," Austin replied with a smile. He stood up and blew kisses to both women. "Guten morgen, meine lieben." And then he left. Soon after, the shower could be heard. "I should have slept with him years ago," Nixie muttered with a small smile as she ate her breakfast. "I would have, if I could have. Old habits, I suppose."

Kaori giggled to herself and kept eating. She was tempted to go harass Austin in the shower but she decided to let the poor guy be. She finished as much of the food as she could and set the plate aside. "He's a sweet guy." she said. "I'm sure he has the ability to use his presence to dominate but I haven't seen it yet. What do you think?"

"He can do anything," Nixie smiled. "The night I fell, he was a howling demon. I've never seen a man so angry--not even Sovenn on his worst binges. His eyes almost glowed red." She could still remember looking up at his face through the haze of pain. She knew he was totally capable of killing. After the incident, she had hired a private investigator to dig up as much as possible on Austin. His back-story came back with lots of black marker and a lot of time gaps. She read between the lines and found a man of many talents. He could do anything.

"Hmm..." Kaori was pondering what Austin would be like if he were more dominant with both herself and Nixie. She couldn't imagine him in anything but a cowboy outfit so she figured she'd just have to wait till tonight to see if he really was as amazing as Nixie made him out to be. "So are we going to be doing more searching today or do you have something else planned? I only ask because I'd like to know what I should wear for the day."

Foxifyre "We'll spend a few hours reviewing the building plans and make up a search plan. Austin was right, I do have some reports to review. I know it's Saturday and they're not needed until Monday, but it keeps my mind occupied," Nixie said. "But we should hit a spa this afternoon. We want to look our best, after all."

"A spa huh? How will hot bubbly water make you look better?" Kaori asked innocently. She was honestly curious about the question which just showed her naivety in the subject. "Well either way, I guess I won't have to worry about dressing up fancy unless we're gonna go outside today." With that she got up and went to her bags, she only pulled out a pair of panties and, for once, a bra. She didn't don them but instead, waited for Austin to get out of the shower.

"It's not just the water. It's the face mask, the manicures, pedicures, kelp wraps, salt scrubs, massages, saunas, catfish, and mud packs. By the time we get out of the spa, we will be primped and polished until we look like hood ornaments," Nixie replied. Ausin came out of the bathroom totally dressed--he had been prepared for any tricks Kaori was likely to pull.

Kaoris' ears perked up. "Wait... did you just say catfish?" She asked in a confused voice. She had no idea what Nixie was talking about and she couldn't imagine how catfish had anything to do with it. I wonder if they have catfish in their spas? Kaori pondered the idea. She came to the conclusion that sitting in a spa with a catfish wouldn't be very relaxing at all. She heard Austin open the door to the bathroom and she turned toward him. She smiled and simply walked past him to the bathroom door.

"I'll be heading out now," Austin said. "I'll be back for lunch." "Take care," Nixie said, meaning it this time. He left, and she finished her breakfast. It had been a while since she had enjoyed a spa-visit. Maybe now with her...other lover?...it would be more fun. She wasn't quite sure what to make of the night before, but she knew that her deeper feelings for both employees far surpassed a one-night-stand or what professional contracts dictated. But as much as she cared, it didn't change her plans to go home as soon as possible.

Kaori closed the door and took a shower that was only slightly longer than the one she had take the day before. After the water was off, the sound of the blow drier went on for far longer than the shower had taken. After long painstaking minutes of combing her fur back, Kaori came out of the bathroom with her fur all standing out on end. She had underestimated the difficulty of getting the mess from the night before out and consequently had over done the use of the blow drier and a comb. Now she looked more like a Pomeranian than a fox. She walked past Nixie to her new luggage bag that held her clothes in a huff. She looked over at her boss and said "Not a word..." She rummaged around inside her bag for a while and eventually gave a sigh and stood up again. She wasn't sure about how Nixie would act around her now that they had been intimate. Though, she didn't really think it mattered too much. She just knew that for a first time, she had had a lot of fun. She didn't expect for it to happen again but she could hope that Austin would surprise her later that night.
