 Erebus "Heh, you look so pathetic on the ground. How about I take you out of your miser-" Erebus stopped talking when the other swordsman ran his weapon through his arm. He just turned his head towards him as he witnessed him jumping away "It's rude to interrupt someone when they are speaking." he looked at his bleeding arm "Hmph, if I were a normal mortal, I'd be in pain now." Not moving an inch, he simply moved his blade back, blocking the attack from the giant blade. He turned to him, raised his blazing sword and slashed at the air, sending a wave of fire and sword wielder who dared to attack him from behind.

 Luis Esteban Salazar-CarriedoThe Timid Junior"Whoa!" The Argentinean managed to jump out of the way and dodge the attack by a few inches. He could feel the heat as the wave flew past him. Any closer, and he would've gotten burned. He straightened himself up and got back into the fight. Erebus At least someone was taking this battle seriously. What impressed him was how the lad was able to wield a large, heavy weapon with a single hand. It wasn't due to magic, but his own strength. He didn't think people were capable of such strength. As he was throwing attacks, he blocked every single one.

Romero was beginning to grow uneasy with this enemy’s fighting style. He seemed to care more about the obvious shows of strength than for tactic and trickery. This wouldn’t be a problem if only he could come up with a strategy to defeat this guy on the fly. The Venezuelan ducked the heat wave and rolled away, bounding back up about a body-length away. Since this foe was obviously enamored with Luis’ giant claymore, Romero figured he could try a second attack from behind. He circled around again, moving with the flow of the battle to hopefully avoid notice, and when he was roughly behind their foe again, he thrust his blade forward in a harsh stab at his lumbar vertebrae. If the tip of his blade connected solidly with his spine—or even better, his vertebral disks—then this enemy would summarily be paralyzed. If his saber connected in any other way, then the shock of the impact should stun him long enough for someone to deal a telling blow.

Erebus As Erebus was throwing more hits to his opponent, he saw a blade run through him. He turned his head and saw that man again. When will he learn that he's going to have to use different tactics to defeat him? "Tch... Did you forget I absorbed some of that girl's power? Even if you could immobilize me, I can heal myself no problem. By the way, you missed." He pulled out the sword and threw it aside. He summoned up a huge fireball using both his hands and threw it towards the backstabber.

Well, their opponent wasn't human at all. When the enemy was about to attack his brother, he got in the way and blocked the attack with his blade. His hand got burned, but not severely "Ay! I think we're going to need a different strategy. Head-on attacks and attacks from behind don't seem to work. Romero’s eyes widened as his foe practically blurred away from the fatal range of his attack. He stared at Erebus in disbelief for a few seconds as the man casually yanked his saber back out. (How the hell did he dodge a point-blank attack to his spine?) And how had he not been stunned by the resulting missed stab? While Venezuela had already known that their foe wasn’t human, he was somewhat slower to accept the reality that he could just take a blow like that and still carry on as if he had never been injured in the first place. Shock prevented him from moving immediately away from the fireball he saw forming in his foe’s hands.
Romero squinted against the blaze Erebus aimed his way. He willed his feet to move, his body to do something to throw him out of range of that point-blank inferno. But nothing moved. Just as the Venezuelan began to wonder what would happen next, someone dashed in the way and blocked the fireball from hitting him.
Romero blinked. Luis had come to his rescue? But Venezuela didn’t waste time questioning the good fortune that had spared his life. “Muchos gracias,” he told his brother, grinning as he tightened his fingers around his sword. As he and hisbrother retreated for another strike, he noticed that Luis’ sword hand was slightly burned. “Lo siento, hermano,” he added. Venezuela nodded at Argentina’s suggestion that they attack in concert at different locations. “Bueno; tú a la derecha y yo a la izquierda,” he agreed, hoping that their enemy wouldn’t understand Spanish. “Posiblemente un ataque embotado y una patada; después, arriba y abajo. Comprende? Leah, cover us!” Romero called to the state as they prepared their charge.

The Romanian watched with mild interest as everything before him unfolded. He noted the Venezuelan, whom he had encountered at the cultural festival along with what seemed like one of his own siblings, being there and being confronted by a magical being whom he didn't recognize. But although he didn't recognize the man himself, he definitely recognized the magic that he was using. Crimson eyes scanning the horizon for the other blond whom he arrived with--seeing how Massachusetts had already run off to join the fray without much planning--before finding her behind a dune.
Strolling over to her quite casually, Anica ducked down beside her, squatting with his knees together, as he looked to her with a determined gaze. "Cred că ar fi mai bine dacă ai rămas în spatele aici pentru o vreme şi indiferent de ceea ce aud sau ce se întâmplă, nu trece de la acest loc excepţia cazului în care am spus acest lucru. He said to her all at once before he gave her a quick, reassuring smirk before he placed his gloved hand upon her shoulder and gave it a squeeze.
Quickly, he then stood up and cracked his knuckles, moving around the large dune that shielded Claire from the rest of the group before he began to approach them in a rather casual manner. "Ah, my, what have we here~!" He said in an almost teasing voice, making extra note of the other nations' injuries as well as the damage inflicted upon their enemy. "It seems like you are in need of some magical services, are you not?" He then snapped his fingers, a black flame igniting from the friction, before he moved his hand down like he was unzipping the very fabric of space and time. But instead, a pair of blades slowly apparated before them before the Romanian took them into his hands and strapped them on quickly. He then looked back to the attacker as he tried to size him up, wondering what else to expect from the demi-god.
[Out.Of.Transylvania: "I think it'd be best if you stayed behind here for awhile and no matter what you hear or what happens, don't move from this spot unless I say so. I don't want to patronize you or anything, but I'm more concerned with keeping you safe than dealing with all of that nonsense before us.

Massachusetts watched the fight carefully, she was trying to identify all the weakness and strengths he had. So far she noted that normal weapons wouldn’t work on him. Which meant the bullets from her gun would not be very effective. She ke[t her green eys looking down the scope of the weapon, moving it as the Demi-god moved. Keeping it locked on his head. As Romero instructed Luis in Spanish she was only able to pick up bits and pieces, she knew they were formulating a plan, but the state wasn’t sure what they were planning on doing.
She did get the part about her covering them, which she already was doing. “Right.” She responded. Relaxing her muscles keeping her target the Demi-gods head.
She didn’t even look away when the Romanian appeared. She could hear where he was and that was enough. “Nice of you to join us, but I do remember asking you to keep out of it. I was hoping you would protect Claire just in case.” When she was sure Romero and Luis weren’t moving yet, she pulled back the trigger on her weapon as the bullet flew toward the demi-god. The sound echoed around the beach.
Whatever Luis and Romero were planning on doing but hopefully this would distract him long enough. When she had pulled the trigger back she let out a quite sound of pain. Her finger was still bleeding and she had forgotten that the finger was her trigger finger.

It was true that Romero bullied him as a child, but he was his brother no matter what, and family always helps one another. "You know.... When the military leaders trained me for battle, they taught me the one way to guarantee and enemy's defeat is to either attack the head or the heart... I say we go for both, to guarantee his downfall." This wasn't like Luis Esteban, in fact, he almost looked scary, but he wasn't planning on taking this battle lightly. If they let him live, he might go after some other god and do the same thing until he accomplishes his goal, and he didn't want him to succeed. Who knows who's he'd attack first? This went against his beliefs, but perhaps God will forgive him if it was to protect the people he loved.{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: I guess you can say "Que en demonios?", it means "What the devil?" but it's pretty much the same. Should Cuba and Venezuela be friends, since the island's helping his boss? ^^; )Argentine Republic

Erebus Erebus was getting rather annoyed as more people were showing up, thinking they would stand a chance. The aura around him began to heat up, anything near him began to melt, including the bullet that flew to him. "Do you guys think you can beat me? Do you really think you're heroes? Ugh, it's time you people know your place." The flames around him turned black, they turned into fireballs and were thrown to the girl and the man who was nearby.

The Venezuelan paused mid-crouch when Anica arrived and stated more than asked that he and his brother needed magical assistance. He snapped his left hand up in a rapid salute at the Romanian. Even though they had met each other on less than amicable terms, that was no excuse to be rude to one who offered his assistance in a surprisingly difficult fight. “Gracias, Anica,” he told his classmate.
Romero grinned despite himself at Luis’ words, for the general in him was pleased to see that Argentina had regrown his spine. He listened intently to what his brother had to say, although his gaze never left the enemy. While he listened, he mentally estimated the effect that an obviously fatal blow would have on the demigod. Romero began nodding unconsciously, but he stopped nodding as Erebus began to glow brighter. “Buena idea. Pero podemos avancar tan cerca de él? How are we going to even approach him with that heat shield melting everything that comes within a body-length of him?” He eyed his sword thoughtfully, wondering if he could perhaps throw it fast enough to keep it from melting and keep it on-target, but quickly dropped the notion. No mortal limb could outrace sheer heat. But, as he watched Leah’s bullet pierce the air and rocket straight toward their enemy, Romero noticed that it came very close to the demigod before melting away. The Venezuelan eyed his own Zamorana. Could his own bullet fly fast enough? No; no Zamorana he had ever wielded had a muzzle velocity exceeding 500 meters per second, while the newer M14s boasted velocities of over 800 meters per second and could fire over 700 rounds a minute. Certainly, if Leah could just accelerate her bullet a little faster, she could shoot Erebus hard, fast, and long enough to shut down his heat field and allow the rest of them a chance to disembowel him.
Yes; that would work! Romero smirked happily to himself and turned back to Luis, noting that Anica had magicked up his own black armblades. “Bueno; tengo un plan,” he announced. He considered elaborating in Spanish, but realized that neither Romania nor Massachusetts could understand the language well, and he changed his mind. Venezuela leapt backwards a couple paces, beckoning to the others as he did, and when they retreated with him, he continued. “Leah, your bullet came very close to hitting him. Do you think you could enhance your M14 and make it shoot faster? If it goes fast enough, it can get past that heat shield he has and hit him. Once you land a shot, keep shooting. Hopefully, the shots will distract him long enough for us to finish him.” He nodded curtly at Anica and said to him and Luis, “You two are going to help me keep el enemigo busy while Leah casts her spell. Once she hits him, we all attack at once. Let’s try not to hit ourselves then, sí?”

Even magnetic fields have little chance of deflecting one, and the bullet has to be made of a magnetic metal for that to work. || So, [since I suspect this fight here is holding up the day-change], you male-nation RPers all for harrying Erebus while MA enhances her gun and shredding his vitals when that heat shield goes down? If so: Pork, since casting that spell too quickly would make this fight end too soon, Leah needs to take a while to cast that spell, as well as be a bit too easily distracted by [Erebus’] attacks, to properly drag out this fight. || Elpis seems so useless in any battle, despite what she's suppsoed to be able to do.

Luis Esteban Salazar-CarriedoThe Timid JuniorTrue, that shield is a bit troublesome. He never really used that shield until now, it looked like his power seemed to be connected to his emotions. When he looked annoyed, the temperature around him seemed to rise. He doubt there was some way to calm him down. Unless Leah or Anica knew water magic, it looked like he had to think of some other way to take that shield down. "That won't work. As long as that shield is up, we can't touch him, no matter what we throw. If we take his defenses down, we can unleash our attacks at him. There's also that fact that he can unleash some mighty powerful attacks." There had to be some way for him to let his guard down. "Oh, and don't get him angry, hermano. I noticed his power got a little stronger when he got annoyed at the amount of people showing up."{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: )Argentine Republic
