"He has enough on his plate to look into for now as is. Things have... developed. I had wanted analysis of your blood to be the top priority, but Nines now takes precedence.
All things considered, minimising exposure to the albino would be best for all of us, for as long as we can get away with it. The truth of the matter is simple. At some point, he will tire of the game he is playing with us, and either step up his intentions to force compliance, or resume work on his end goals, possibly steam rolling us in the process.
Frankly, both scenarios are pretty worrying, and a unified front is going to be our only hope. Its beyond me what crazed idea fate had in pushing us all into each others company, and I fear the best I can do is apologise for it, while also trying to make the best of it."
Shrugging, she downed half her glass of vitae, topping it off before sipping at it, in her more usual style. Deep worry lines seemed to have set in around her mouth and brow over the last few days, made even more pronounced by the kitchen's lighting.

And how, pretell, do you plan to minimize exposure? Only thing I can think of is just not being attention-worthy, considering.
Nines quirked his brow, watching Corbin as he made his comment. He had a point; the fiend had found him even after he had done his best to disappear; the encounter had then led to everything since.
Dunno what fate's got to do with it all, but I'm curious to hear what you've got in mind.

"I believe I can draw his attention elsewhere for a while, with your help, and keep the flak off you after.
One thing that can definitely be said about the abomination is that he is a proud creature at heart. True, his depravity runs... deeper than most... but for all I do not understand his predilections regarding his appearance, I know it matters to him.
....which is why I think you should go to Egypt and deface ancient, priceless and irreplaceable artefacts."
She smiled as she said the last part. Not in jest or amusement... but because she was dead serious.

Nines quirked a brow as his gaze shifted about to Roan again.
So now the woman with a long history and a penchant for antiquity is telling us to blow really valuable old s**t up. Okay, I'll admit, didn't see this one coming. Please do continue.
Shifting in his seat, Nines leaned forward, propping his elbow on his knee as he rested his foot on the next chair over. He held no reservations about his curiosity, and plainly waited for further explanation from Roan's person.

"e'd jus' end up makin' his own fun."
Agreeing that to just try and make oneself less interesting and sit in a corner from the Albino wouldn't work for long, Corbin sat and listened to Roan and Nines muse on the subject, having left that on his blood alone. Likely it had something to do with the emptied sauce sache that was the lad's posture and energy this evening. He didn't doubt it must have been pressing.
Then came Roan's... Interesting, suggestion for a diversion tactic.
"Oh, this I like..."
A childish grin of silly proportions, and motion in his hanging legs to animate the childish sentiment.

"The ancient Egyptians believed in many gods, gods that could change shape, and had various and powerful abilities. There were gods for every occasion, much as in Japan in later years, and the Egyptians celebrated those gods whose favour they sought with things called 'naos' - portable shrines to the gods.
It was also believed a name carved in hieroglyphs could come to life, move and attack one, especially in the 'underworld' when one crossed to the afterlife.
All of this has NOTHING to do with Ice however, but is very interesting to the Followers of Set, another Kindred clan. And Ice DOES have interests in Egypt.
Once we have upset THEM, by destroying a newly excavated Naos of Set, we can then focus on destroying some Roman and Ancient Greek finds, masking the attacks all as one elaborate plot, and some of the Greek stuff will piss Ice RIGHT off if its damaged. It will keep him busy looking for the culprits for months.
Providing we don't get caught, anyway.
And for the record? I hate destroying artefacts, but the ones I have in mind will never see the light of human scrutiny anyway, and were not products of genuine human development, but rather the meddling of ancient Kindred. In this case... the destruction can be justified."
As usual, the plan seemed to be a multi layered effect, starting at something unimportant to arrive at a useful destination later. Typical Kindred politics. Corbin's grin however was indicative of the interest she seemed to have gained already.
"I am of course open to better ideas."

So...s**t on every cosmology except your own?
Nines shook his head and heaved a sigh. He hadn't expected this from Roan, but it worked, so he nodded.
Alright, now comes the big trick. How do we not get caught in the act? Last we need is to draw that kind of wrath down. Do we even know where they are and what kind of security is on them?

"Sounds good t' me. You know 'im better, know what'll get 'is goat."
Smirking some at his own terrible, terrible pun he took a moment to knock the ash off his cigarette into a sink, and have a mouthful of his drink.
"If 'e catching us out, it'll put us three times at teh other end o' teh scale. You want Nines 'n' I workin' together, or 'itting targets separately?"
He then glanced at Nines after talk of how to avoid suspicion after the fact.
"We going to be imitating another group? Then, is it one already established? Maybe a false one, since it'll take longer t' actually find 'em."

"This may comes as a shock to you, but I HAVE thought it through more than just 'hey, lets do this!'
Firstly though... I don't HAVE a cosmology. There are just things which happen to be real that logic says shouldn't. I'M one of them. So are you two. Beyond that, no I'm not sending you to Japan for two very good reasons. Reason 1? There are very few overt Kindred presences there, let alone political or physical holdings. What there ARE are beyond our scope and ability to touch. Reason 2? The area is ruled by Cathayans, giving rise to reason 1. They are not Kindred, even if they are similar in SOME ways, and they are a menace to everyone and everything that gets in their way or annoys them.
So. Egypt. Romans. Greece. You may remember I am DISGUSTINGLY rich. And that a lot of that rich is based on scientific holdings. I know what has been discovered, where, before most of the rest of the world, and thus, we can hit items of worth in their least protected environments easily enough that it will be possible, instead of an instant deathtrap.
And I even have a decent cover story that will keep the albino busy for some time without even thinking to look closer to home. We're going to blame it all on the werewolves."
Smiling, she started outlining the plan, pausing for any protestations before she;d continue, and finish addressing the points both men had put forwards.

Didn't doubt you had, I'm just wary of shitting in people's cornflakes. So...werewolves. How do we make it look like they did it? Heck, how would a werewolf do it to begin with?
That there was an outlined idea to keep the heat off drew in Nines' interest more; the thought of pulling a job that didn't get him shafted was an appealing one. So he leaned forward against his knee, resting his folded arms on it as he began running the idea through his head. He didn't know much about werewolves, so this meant he'd need Roan's input before he could get to too many specifics.
Think I'm getting ahead of myself here. You said you know where to hit them; where would that be?

His grin came back again, not even noticing he'd failed his own exercise by folding the bottle cap between his fingers. He had thought a moment on posing as the wolves and was edging towards that suggestion himself.
"So, clumps o' fur 'n' big dirty paw prints on stamped out urns. I love it."
He wasn't so shocked or at opposition to destroying ancient relics like Nines seemed to be, though he would rather have the chance to look them over, maybe even collect some bits himself. At least this way though, he'd get to see these things before making a child's mosaic out of them.

"You two don't know much about the Garou, do you? I do. They are my long-term enemy, my nemesis, the thorn in my side. Why can remain unknown for now, but knowing thy enemy is a wise tactic, and I understand them better than many of our kind.
I can even speak and write their languages."
Scowling as she spoke of the Garou, she sighed and settled back, steepling her fingers.
"Garou come in different types, just like us. Where we have clans, they have tribes. The Tribe I intend to have blamed for this are the Silent Striders. They are more nomadic than most Garou, and are such because Set drove them out of Egypt many many years ago. The Striders despise Setites most of all of our kind, and often stage sabotage raids on Kindred holdings linked to them.
There is a site two hours out of Karnac that has only just been rediscovered by a team of ghouls working for the Setites. It is the tomb of a royal scribe to an ancient Kindred, and the greatest treasure to survive alongside him is his Naos to Set. It is not unique in itself, but it is valuable enough to be noted if it is destroyed.
And we will leave the usual pictograph writing of the Striders on the walls, as signs the attack was co-ordinated. We will also leave their usual pattern of destruction, and just enough of a Garou scent for the serpents to pick up on.
There will be no reason to suspect it was an attack by anyone EXCEPT the Striders, and it will be easy to link the other attacks we have planned back to this one, causing our true target to be distracted for months with any luck hunting down rebel bands of wandering Werewolves, who I would rather see dead as is ANYway. Two very ugly birds, one big stone."

"Means we'll 'ave to be careful of teh methods we use. Nomad furries aren't likely t' use much tech, or leave behind a precise assassination scene. Lots o' mess 'n' gore... Probably no guns?"
He looked to Roan as he queried the specifics of howthe tribe would carry this out if it had in fact been them. Key to convincing the Setites and Ice.
"Mostly brutish blunt force, blades 'n' mock claws for us I guess... And from teh sounds o' it one of us is gonna be schlepping a dead wookie of the very tribe through the scene. Means we 'ave some prep work t' do."

I know less about them than I know about you, which is saying quite a bit.
Nines affirmed her query, then quieted himself while she explained the details of the garou. He didn't have any context to fit her information in, but she did a fair enough job of getting the basic point across. He nodded, satisfied that he knew enough to operate on for the time at hand.
Sounds like it's going to balls up the usual approach, but for damn good reason. So what do you recommend then? Barring some hardcore bodymodding, making any inflicted wounds look like a coked out bear did them will be hard; blades and claws don't do the same things to people.

"Yes, its brash by my preferred standards but I believe it is worth it. One day, I'll teach you a bit more about the Garou, though for now they are merely a means to an end.
I do not intend to make you lug a dead body on this little trip, and of course I'll be coming with you. We will employ our own claws and daggers, they will resemble those of young Striders well enough... especially as we'll be leaving a bloody fang from one of them behind.
Corbin? You've learnt to extend hard claws over your natural nails, right? Are you able to make them hollow? Like this?"
Laying her own hand flat on the table, Roan spread her fingers, the nails shifting to longer, deadlier points. Then they turned a yellowish tinge, the insides hollow and see through, save for the outer coating of keratin.
