Alexander did not really expect Lyno to jump across for his sake.

The minute that she did, a wave of guilt washed over him, leaving him at a standstill for a brief moment. He felt as if he had failed her as her knight, and that he had been spoiled by his own queen. Why did I have to be so childish about this jumping business? Why didn't I just go over there and get her myself? I could not even... his thoughts were soon interrupted by his more domineering conscience, who insisted that he was being a fool. Alexander, you are a KING! Do not give her the satisfaction of ruling over you! I told you this was a bad idea. This whole love business is bad for your kingdom and yourself! If you had treated this infatuation earlier on, then maybe it would have not festered like an infected wound! then, finally remembering the helpless situation of the said queen, Alexander's conscience reminded him sharply, Just help the damn girl first!

Alexander rushed to Lyno and reached down to get a good hold of her small waist. He wasn't as strong as most people thought, but Lyno wasn't exactly as heavy as people thought too. Overall, the two royalties weren't really as they seemed. With a small grunt, Alexander pulled Lyno up on the opposite side of the bridge. He let her dust herself a bit before he fussed over her. "Lyno, you should not have done that! Oh, how worried I was! I'm sorry for not jumping back to you immediately... I've betrayed your trust..I've betrayed your expectations...I've betrayed your---" Alexander paused, a bit unwillingly, as another burst from his tyrannical conscience broke through his mental barrier.

Betrayed her? You never took an oath for crying out loud! You are under no obligation to follow whatever she says, Alexander! Why can't you understand that, you blubbering buffoon! Your heart has gotten the better of you. Alexander slapped himself hard, regaining his composure instantly. He straigthened his suit and smiled back at Lyno, as if nothing ever happened. "Well, Lyno. Now that you're here...should we go on? I will give you the pleasure of opening the next chest! My luck seems to be ruining the game for the both of us." He took her hand into his and squeezed it quickly, "Lead on, my dear."

...At least his insanity was back?

Breathing a sigh of relief from her sturdy stance on the firm ground she smiled and nodded, patting down herself before she did so. "Your luck is nothing but a game of flying pigs and racquets my dear Crimson King!" she bolted out with a small tinge of sarcasm, but Lyno wasn't one for winning things, she just took things as it came to her, not really pushing herself to actually fight for what she wanted. Her heavy eyelids were tired though, she wasn't quite used ti this much ruckus in one day, let alone all the emotions and sudden advances. But, it all had a purpose, didn't it? Maybe she prayed just enough that the heavenly gods and goddesses saw her hands clasped together on the bed sheets as she knelt down to beg one last time for peace, for no change, just let things be as they be.

However, what if Alexander had made a prayer too? except for conquer, conquest and the death of her white queenlyship, Lyno? "Thank you for helping me up Alexander, your good deed will not go unmentioned. It seems you've turned into a new man, although you have more sense of direction than I, so lead the way and I'll point to whatever chests we first see, okay?"

Radbod was absolutely astonished to what was in the chest; it seemed to be some sort of projecting mirror inside of which a small man danced and began to sing. It was quite curious indeed, and amused the mad hare immensely.

WE'RE NO STRANGERS TO LOOOOOOVE

The March Hare looked around and behind him, but apparently the small singing man was talking to him. He tapped the mirror-like contraption with his index figure, but nothing seemed to happen. We're no strangers to love? I daresay that I might be... or was I in love once before?

YOU KNOW THE RULES AND SO DO I
A FULL COMMITMENT'S WHAT I'M THINKING OF

The hare was taken quite aback by that statement and started to respond when the man just continued singing to him all willy-nilly.

YOU WOULDN'T GET THIS FROM ANY OTHER GUY

"Well I most certainly think not strange songster!" he replied, weirded out by the apparent romantic interest this small man had in his character. What sort of sorcery was this? Radbod had never seen a television screen in his life, so he made of it what his mad mind had put together.

I JUST WANNA TELL YOU HOW I'M FEELIN'
GOTTA MAKE YOU UNDERSTAND

"Understand what? Your strange attraction to me is very unwarranted and unwanted, if you would kind sir-"

NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP
NEVER GONNA LET YOU DOWN
NEVER GONNA RUN AROUND AND DESERT YOU

"Well that's all very well and good but-"

NEVER GONNA MAKE YOU CRY
NEVER GONNA SAY GOOD-BYE
NEVER GONNA TELL A LIE AND HURT YOU

"I've had just about enough of you," Radbod remarked before he simply left the chest wide open as the poor little dancing singer was left all alone by the mad March Hare. He continued on his way before he found himself at the party once again. He looked all around himself and wondered just how he'd gotten here. Weren't they supposed to find the center of the maze? Or were they at the center and had to get out?

"Fire!" he exclaimed rather suddenly, which caused a few people to look at him with startled expressions. You see, he had just solved Chey's riddle that had been given to him: I have no legs but dance, no lungs but breathe, and no life yet I live. The answer was fire.

However, everyone started to panic and thought that there had been a fire inside the maze. Most started to leave the party right then and there while a few ran to get water as fast as they could.

we've known each other for so long

your heart's been aching but your too shy to say it

inside we both know what's going on

we know the game and we're going to play it

Jack coughed slightly as Radbod had burst forth from the maze and seemed
to state that there was a fire in the maze. Was that where all the other
guests had gone like the twins, the new Alice and perhaps even the red king?
If the white queen was in there Jack did not want to even think about how
Alexander had been ranting about how beautiful she was... and that he might
be in there with her. The thought sickened him and made him lose his
appetite for his alcohol-enhanced-tea. Setting the cup aside, he wondered
briefly what he would do. If his king was in the maze then it would be his
duty to run in and save him, even if it meant getting lost and dying in the fire
Radbod had spoken of.

Then again, the March Hare was absolutely bloody bonkers. Jack checked
the sky and saw no smoke that would indicate a fire, and physically relaxed
as he tried to get the red citizens who had been fetching water to stop for a
moment and really think who this information came from. There was no smell
of fire in the air, no smoke to be seen, only Radbod, as black as the smoke
of hell standing before them. What a daft bugger... and they had all taken his
word as scripture at first reflection.

Jack was rather uncomfortable with so many actually trusting the mad
hare. There he was, madder than the rest of them and yet people still
listened to him. Perhaps his last attempt on the hare's life was less fruitful
than he would have liked. It seemed that even if Radbod was mad as the
Hatter, people still trusted him for some reason. If Radbod could ever pull his
head back together hw may reveal something that Jack did not want shared.

The March Hare had to go.

Alexander scrunched his nose up when Lyno mentioned his luck being a bunch of winged swine playing tennis. Being the slow and ever so frequently thick-skulled king that he is, he didn't quite get the analogy, and took it as some sort of insult. "Well, then my team must be losing, don't you think? So far, I have gotten us into nothing but trouble...Nevertheless, I trust your judgement, and believe you may be on to something with those pigs..." the bag's buckle was digging into his shoulder, so Alexander shook it a bit and hoisted it higher to make himself comfortable through the final moments of the game.

No matter how hard Lyno may have tried to hide it, her weariness was very evident to Alexander, and it caused him to worry. Not only that, but the queen seemed more out of it than ever before, and even suggested that he, the man who let lose the jabberwocky when he was looking for his little pup Crimson, to lead the way. He swallowed hard when he heard her order, but he didn't want to disappoint the tired queen any further, and decided to just obey and get the stick (so to say.) "Ah, well then...let us go...hmm..." there was a forked road ahead of them; the road on the right looked like someone had already passed there, and the walls were lined up with white roses. The other road had red roses lining its walls, and the grass was still fresh and perky under the moonlight. Not wanting to seem biased, He grabbed Lyno's hand and pulled her over to the road on the left, reasoning audibly, "...to the road less travelled!"

The warmth of Lyno's hand made him feel all tingly inside. It amplified his giddiness and made him feel very important and needed. As they walked, he attempted to start a conversation, despite his being awkward, "Umm...Lyno? The...uh...weather seems nice...Mmm! yes! Lovely weather...good for...uhh...a walk?" Alexander laughed nervously glancing towards the white queen every now and then like an infatuated highschooler. The little charade soon stopped when they arrived at another forked road, now with three lanes and a single chest in each one. Each lane had a gate, and over the gates were words made of tiny white flowers. The words read: "Pick only one" Alexander gulped again and turned to Lyno, "I think you should do the picking and opening with this one..." Alexander's voice trailed off while he stared at the three gates.

"...I think I should start cheering for those pigs."

When Alexander grabbed her hand, she felt tingly, adrenaline rushing through her spine again, making her feel hot. Putting aside the feeling quickly she was relieved to feel the sudden coolness returning to her body. She nodded solemnly to Alexander's remark about the weather and began heading after him. They were two different elements if one could thing of it. Such was Yin and Yang, Dark and Light, Purity and Impurity, the magical chaos ensuing over their very mind, body and soul. Something was penetrating her very insides, a feral being trying to 'open' her up to the sites. But she was still quiet, timid and shy however, still retaining her history.

"Perhaps the middle path? Or do we take the left path? Perhaps we should, but what if it's filled with disaster? Ooh...the right one seems safe... Let's pick the right one Alexander, the moon is just perfectly glowing over it. Maybe it's a sign?"

Kris & Klaus
Zwillinge

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

With the prizes they received from Chey in hand, Kris and Klaus sauntered off into the maze once more. Their pace was a mite bit slower, because Kris began walking in a sort of criss-cross pattern. Klaus managed well, but his gait too was a bit wobbly. They had long since finished their bottles of alcohol, and mischievously tucked them into some rose bushes. They would get in some trouble with the gardener after the party.

"Hey, Klaus."

"What." Klaus tended to get antsy after a certain amount of alcohol.

"Y'think one o' the prizes in those there chests is a bottle or two of liquor?"

"I don't think Amanda set aside a special prize for us in particular."

"Why wouldn't she? Charming people always get what they want. And their brothers too. Sometimes."

"Am I not charming as well?"

"Well..." Kris hiccuped, then said happily, "Not nearly as much as me!"

It was then they heard an uproar somewhere to their right. They couldn't quite tell what it was they were hearing, but they were pretty sure they heard screaming voices, both male and female. They sounded quite panicked.

"Izzat somebody starting a fight without us, Klaus?"

"It sure sounds like it, Kris."

"Ain't anybody supposed to start a scuffle without us!"

"So true."

The twins set off in the direction of the panicked screaming voices. They managed to get to the edge of the maze without suffering too many collisions into the rose bushes. It was Klaus who was mostly unscathed. Kris... well, no more needed to be said.

They found Radbod relatively near them, staring with that strange expression he always had on. Ahead of them, guests were rushing out the gate or filling buckets and empty glasses with water. Kris and Klaus ambled over to the dark-furred rabbit. Kris grinned at him loopily. Klaus peered at him questioningly.

"Well, hey-y-y there, Radbod. What d'you think you're doin', starting a party without us?"

"What exactly happened here?"

"Though whatever you did, might I say well done! All those Red and White snot-faced people runnin' around."

"They all look so utterly . . . pink."

Her emerald orbs widened as she witnessed a blinding light shine out of the chest followed by a prominent thump! Once the light has dissapated enough to a point where she could see more clearly, the lovely caterpillar fluttered her long eyelashes before she crawled around from the side of the chest to right in front of the being whom had appeared from inside. It wasn't Chey, no. Instead she found herself stuck with November. He seemed to be bound with rope and had a gag in his mouth to muffle his talking; and from the sound of things, there was going to be a lot of it.

The lips of the insectuine beauty parted with a satisfied pop! sound before she nodded at the poor jabberwockey, agreeing to the request that she was somehow able to understand even with his mouth covered. Lifting a slender palm from its place pressed against the soft grass beneath the two, she then leaned forward to him. Working skillfully with her hands, now in a seated position with her legs folded beneath her, Tziphora undid the knot that had bound his limbs together before she then untied the handkerchieft that was tied around the young man's mouth. Once finished, she placed the items to the side just as November began to address her once more. When he said her name, her easrs perked up as she craned her neck so she could make eye contact with him once more. The golden bands that dangled at odd lengths from the ebony locks clinked together quite nicely as another breeze rolled through the maze.

As she listened to him, something that he said definitely stuck with her. Is he really asking me for a favor to give him so his debt to me can be repayed? She questioned as her right eyebrow arched ever-so beautifully, but also to display her perplexed nature at the moment. Well, what could a jabberwocky do, or really, what was something that she needed done that a jabberwocky could be useful for? Well, there wasn't really much the caterpillar needed in life besides her mushroom home, her beloved golden hookah, and her tobacco. Friends were fine and dandy on their own, but she was also completely fine with living a life of isolation and contemplation.

"Although you may think you're a monster, it is not of any concern to me."

Tziphora told him slowly, still with that sensual, velvety voice of hers, as she pressed her hands to the ground so she could stand up straight once more. Once standing, she readjusted her dress. It seemed that it had moved its way to the right, almost exposing her breast, but she quickly fixed that along with her straps and the length of her dress. One tanned leg was bent at the knee so the slit that went up her side was revealing this leg, the end of the slit ending right below her hip, as she fixed how the backpack was against her back. The straps had begun to dig into her shoulders slightly so she fixed that by readjusting the length of them before her attention returned to November once more.

"If you'd like, you can accompany me for the rest of my journey into the center of the maze, I haven't seen you for quite some time November."

Radbod had little idea why everyone was running about all willy-nilly, but he was proud to have solved antoher of Chey's riddle. He didnt' seem to see the connection with his words and the actions of the others, but even so Radbod felt himself staring at the action and caught one man not running around trying to get water (perhaps he wasn't thirsty); Jack of Diamonds. He had always disliked red citizens as far as he could recall and he pursed his lips as he caught the man staring at him. The horrid colour always left a rather bad taste in his mouth.

Turning to Kris and Klaus as they too found their way out of the maze, the March Hare chuckled and mused, "I don't know why everyone is in such a tizzy... maybe they had too much sugar, but then again one can never have enough sugar... perhaps caffine then. Or too many cookies. They may all get fat. Wouldn't that be amusing? If they all just got gigantic at the moment? That would be hilarious, I think."

In Alexander's mind, he was imagining a tennis game between flying pigs, of which Lyno had described his luck as earlier on. He had decided that the pigs of their team were colored both red and white, with his puppy-that-never-grew Crimson as the game's referee. He also imagined himself as someone cheering for their team while sitting on the bleachers, with half of his face painted with red and the other half painted with white. Lyno was also in his hallucination, but he saw her as a girl in a short skirt, a tight long-sleeved shirt, knee-high socks, and sneakers, while sporting a very girlish hairdo— her little pigtails jumping from side to side as she cheered for the red-white bench. Alexander shook his head furiously from the strangely humane hallucination and turned his attention back to Amanda's game, and not the flying swine's.

He looked at the right chest and noticed how the light did seem to shine very specifically on the right chest. He tilted his head and squinted at the chest, as if doing so would improve his eyesight. "Yeah...I think you're right Lyno! We should go with that then." Alexander marched forward with confidence, his hand leading the little parade. He placed his palm on the cold latch and eyed the chest curiously. With a quick movement, he opened the chest...

{ Rolled Number: 1 }

Alexander kept his eyes shut tight, waiting to see if it was indeed empty, or if the mischievous purple feline occupied his chest. For once, he was actually wishing Chey was in there.

He went that way! I mean, left. That left. No, not your left!
Not mine either, dear, stop looking. No, not up! Left!
Wait...That's right, isn't it? Oh, it doesn't matter either way!
Just go search every-which-way and everywhere and you're bound to find him somewhere,
for if he isn't anywhere in everywhere, he's nowhere!
And no one can be nowhere!

As the twins dawdled away Chey yawned, her jaws with their pointed incisors widening greatly, her arms sliding the length of the chest in a stretch. She blinked her vibrant turqoise eyes, slitted pupils dialating a fraction as a smile curled up her lips.
Time to move on to the next chest.
Taking her catnip mouse with her, the young lady was gone in a puff of multicolored pink and lavender smoke.

In the next box she occupied the Cheshire lounged about, a dragon's hoard of gold and jewels beside her, topped with a peppermint. Surprisingly it still wasn't that cramped in the chest despite the treasure, and she sat there juggling the toy in her hands waiting for the lid to be lifted.
When it was, a familiar shade of red appeared, bright even in the dark to her feline's irises.
"Ooooh," The violette's orbs rolled and then narrowed, settling on the mildly irritating young king.
"It's you. What a jooooy!" The last word rose in sarcastic pitch, but then was followed by a surprisingly realistic peal of giggles as she looked up.
"Aaahh, your riddle! That's right, you get another...Mmm." A slender finger cradled her chin while she pondered. Suddenly, pink fluffy ears perked and a mischievous grin took over her mouth.
This would be perfectly befitting of the brunette, seeing as who his predecessor had been. A nice mockery of that crazy bat's reign, and if nobody else got the subtle reference than at least it'd be in her ever odd mind, entertaining her.

"What odd number becomes even when beheaded, Alexanderrrrrr?" She purred, or perhaps slurred would have been more appropriate.
