THESE TASTE LIKE CHALK BUT FREE CANDY IS FREE CANDY.Ok, so Yin was definitely very upset about something, which was only made more obvious with his tone of voice. "Agony? But that's a good one!" He eyed the new candy Yin pulled out of the machine curiously. Forever alone? Alex scoffed inwardly. He wasn't about to let that happen. The weremantis suddenly looked troubled, and while Alex's smile may have faltered a bit, he kept it up, hoping that his cheerfulness might become contagious. "Mademoiselle?" He questioned. That was one he hadn't heard Yin use before. And then, "I'm sure you didn't upset her..but you know, many just prefer to be called by their names without a title. Have you tried just doing that? If it's what the other party wants then doesn't that make it ok?" Really, Alex was probably just making things worse, since he never seemed to say quite the right thing around the weremantis. "Maybe she just had a lot on her mind...wait, relationship advice? What did you ask her?" Alex was confused now. How had they stumbled on the conversation of relationships? Sighing, he idly leaned down and cranked the candy machine handle one last time before grabbing the candy. "King of pain." He mumbled. He wasn't sure if that was good or bad but he pocketed it with the others in any case. Then, in one last ditch effort to make Yin feel a little better he did the one thing he knew, and that was to reach an arm out and wrap it around the other boils shoulders, gently guiding him away from the candy machines. "How would you like to go and check on Princess Eva? I'm sure she'd like to see you and make sure you are doing ok. And I should really check on..er..my pet.." He really should actually name him sometime. "And make sure he's getting along allright." (Silver seed win)

Alexander just did not understand how impolite it would be for Yin to just go charging about calling ghouls by their first names. He was already referring to most ghouls as Miss, a title reserved for significantly younger ghouls that would have been horrendously improper in the Clan, and he could not completely fight off his old lessons. The ghouls here were simply not accustomed to manners. Though...well...he would probably call Ava and Shae by their names rather than give them a title, and he felt as if Alexander would support his decision there.
"I asked her if she was in love with anyone, or if anyone was in love with her," he admitted quietly as Alexander began to lead him away from the machine, perhaps leaning into the zomboil a bit more than was required. "Oh but I would not simply bring that up! It is such an improper question to ask a ghoul I just...well I asked her to be polite as she had asked me the same questions."
But it was the idea of Princess Eva that fully drug him into a state of happiness. A smile blossomed across his face, "That is a perfect idea Alexander." In fact, now that he was faced with the prospect, he could not wait to get to her. Just to make sure everything was okay. He shrugged the zomboil's arm off his shoulder, only to turn slightly and grasp his hand. They were going to go across a busy room after all, so it would be best not to lose him. Plus it would be easier to try to drag him along at a faster pace like this as he set off toward where he had left Princess Eva.

Ah, this was nice. For a few moments Alex might even be able to pretend that he and Yin were even a couple, the way Yin was leaning into him, but he shook that thought off as quick as it cropped up, knowing that would likely never be the case. Maybe Yin had just gotten to warm as well with all of the activity and was trying to cool off by getting closer to Alex. That seemed like it would be the most likely reason.
Alex suddenly stumbled a bit as Yin was talking, but not because he had tripped over anything. He was just a little taken aback by what Yin had just said. "Madam--I mean, Chuppi asked you that?" He said, stumbling over her name and nearly calling her by the title Yin had given her. Really, he was probably spending too much time with the weremantis, the way his speaking was starting to rub off on the zomboil.
As Yin shrugged off Alex's arm he had to fight not to look disappointed, but then the weremantis was grabbing ahold of Alex's hand, which surprised him, but was not unwelcome. In fact, he might even be holding on to Yin's hand a little tighter then necessary as his friend pulled him along towards the mini pets enclosure.
"So..uh...how did you answer Chuppi?" He tried to make it a casual question, like it was just a way to keep conversation flowing. Not like he actually cared if Yin was in love with anybody.
( leaving for..mini pet area? XD )

"I won't," West agreed. Oh no, he had every intention of showing up to this fight and getting his a** pummeled again, just to show her how much he...
L...
Li...
Lik...
Nope. He still couldn't voice the sentiment, not even in his head, not even while he was at the mercy of this strange outside force, not even when he was displaying all of these embarrassingly ghouly symptoms... For a brief moment it seemed his mind would clear, but then he looked down at the tatzel and her vampire teddy, and acting like a derp no longer seemed like such a horrible thing.
West squeezed Levi's hand in his and smiled back at her. "Which game?" he asked. "What'd'y'wanna do first?"

Hmmm~ Resting her chin atop her vampire Teddy's head in thought, Levi's hand that held West's swung back and and forth lightly while scanning her options. In the end, it was still Whack-a-Hunter she wanted to play with him the most.
You like to see him in action. ❤
She did.
That one! With tha' mallet! She pointed by lifting both their hands towards it with a grin.

Perfect! Steering her away from the Love Machine's evil scoreboard (seven points ;;), West strode over to Whack-a-Hunter, reluctantly dropping her hand to pick up the mallet.
He didn't say anything to the ghoul as he began to viciously beat at the wee humans, but every so often he would cast a sidelong glance at her and his Glare of Supreme Concentration would soften. This distraction caused him to miss quite a few of his targets, but he didn't seem to notice until it was all over.
"'Nother ticket," he said with a bit of a frown. Oh well. At least it was better than nothing. He held out the mallet for Levi to take. "Wan'me t'hold yer bear?"

The dropping of her hand was made up for by the power of his pummeling. Every time the mallet went down on a tiny hunter figure, she bounced a bit, gleeing at the hit. When West was done, her eyes made sure to meet his. Nice work! Got ya some mean guns thar, boil.
At his offer, she did indeed hand him her Vampire Teddy to take up the mallet next herself. A tinge of the usual Levi came through as something drove her to focus hard on the hunter targets this time.
She was able to hit 10 of them; again she bet West. kekekeke~ looks like I got me a-... a candy? Levi wasn't sure what to do with these candies, but if she got a higher score than West and won one of these instead of more tickets, she gathered they were important. Without thinking much of it, she retrieved a tiny pouch from within her bodice, placing the two candies she got inside for safe keeping before putting the pouch back in its place.
C'mon, play 'gain with me! They were veering close to the love machine...

Still pondering over those words, the ghoul wandered over to the bash a hunter station and grabbed the mallet. It was such an easy game. And fun too. Edel barely gave any of those cobbled puppets any attention before the mallet came crashing down on them; much less sympathy. Satisfied that she had caused a bit more destruction, the ghoul moved on to the next station.

Apparently Xiu was gathering a mini collection of these things or something, because she certainly wasn't going to try eating any of them. Just a single glance told her that they were dry and chalky, and their flavour--whether it was good or bad--wouldn't be able to fix the fact that the texture alone was disgusting.
...Buuuut that being said, the baku was back anyways, curious to see what other strange or silly messages the candies had in store for her.

Despite knowing she was utter rubbish at this game, that didn't stop Edel from putting her heart into it. It was almost comical, the way she veered so close to the screen and hit the buttons frantically to escape the pac man. Alas, it was a close call, but the pac man was once again victorious. The frost demon sighed and stepped back away from the machine.
Maybe Moure would have a tip or two.

Ash had meant to come down to the celebration earlier. Really. But his brain had rebelled upon waking up and seeing...the strangest of patches covering his chest and arms, and that they'd gotten...worse over the night.
They were not pleased. Oh, no, not at all. He was pale and twitchy, not wanting to leave his home-- Home, even--
Slowly, Henry Ashford Charles the Third pulled himself together, mind filled with the lovey dovey feelings that had curled in tendrils at the edge of his mind for the last few days. The reaper tugged on a starched white shirt, carefully doing the buttons with quivering hands. Thackery wanted him down there, and would be so disappointed if Ash did not attend.
Piece by piece, Ash put on his rented tuxedo, crisp and black and pressed to perfection. There were...reasons why he had acquired it a week or so ago, but they were indiscernible to him, now.
Ashford tugged on his shiny black shoes, adjusted his cufflinks, tucked a red pocket-square into his breast pocket. His movements were mechanical, almost as if his joints were covered in rust. His mind was a battleground; torn between the roaring waves of possession (He's mine, mine forever, I'll kill anyone who touches him--) and woe (We are unsafe, We should not be going, We don't want to LEAVE, WE DO NOT WANT TO LEAVE. WE DO NOT.)--
It was almost too much to bear. Grimacing, Ashford pulled his helm on, relishing in the protection it gave him.
--
Ash arrived at the Scarentine's Dance, his arms feeling leaden and half incorporeal all at once. In a dull daze, he made his way to the first line he saw, which was for the Love Machine. He saw Thackery's number there, and with a pang in his chest, he rolled.MATCHMAKER MATCHMAKER MAKE ME A MATCH!

"All right, Whack-a-Hunter let's do this."
This was not a great game for Sparrow, especially considering he spent the next five minutes staring at the machine with a very stubborn expression on his face, as if to say next time I will get you...

Mean guns. Yeah. Her words softened his slight humiliation over missing so many Hunters, and also made him feel like less of an asshat for carrying a stuffed toy. He did manage to miss Levi stowing her candy, but only because he thought he caught a glimpse of a familiar scareon on the other side of the room. Nah, it couldn't be.
"Mmhm, sure," he said, turning back to her with a smirk. "Th' candy one next?" It wasn't really much of a game and was closer to the Love Machine scoreboard than he was strictly comfortable with, but West still thought he could block the results from her view.
He offered the teddy bear back to Levi before crossing to the candy machine and turning the knob.
"Five-ever alone?" West muttered. He shrugged and dropped the chalky heart into his pocket. Whatever. He was so totally not 5ever Alone.
