Jasmine Langdon Jasmine laughs nervously, "I have high metabolism... What kind of special seasoning is in the meat?" She was determined it wasn't going to be easy for them to trick her, if they were trying. But, what if it was nothing? Should she risk it? Living on the streets she knew hunger and thirst-- she hated them. And here was.. Food. Maybe food that she'll see for a while. As Natalie got her transmission, she snapped her head over to her, at first panicked, but as she did that, a dangling light on the other side of the room crashes down. Jasmine silently swore. Dammit. how COULD she slip up? She would get questioned, but atleast it gave almost a warning almost, that she could be a dangerous threat if anything were to happen."Maybe we should go?" Jasmine says nervously as she stands up, picking up the water, sipping it, finally. Something to cool her throat. She didn't particularly care for the meat since she didn;t know the orgins. Atleast with the streets, she was able to identify it. To be honest... This meat had a certain.. Smell that rubbed her the wrong way.

Bartholomew took Sydelle and her troll around for a tour. Fumi lurked behind them for a little while, taking note of each location he pointed out. Infirmary, bedrooms, bathrooms. Fumi thought she'd be able to sneak into a bedroom at night. She knew how to stay invisible, even while asleep, and she was a light sleeper anyway. If anyone came in, she'd be out in a minute - or, at least, she'd be in the corner, then be out the next minute. The armory was off-limits. Curious, Fumi thought about phasing through the wall, just to take a peek, but thought better of it and stepped away from the room.
After the quick tour, Bartholomew and Sydelle were just talking, so Fumi drifted off, walking through the safehouse, carefully memorizing each hallway. A little while later, she thought the heard voices around where the dining room was and floated there. Bartholomew's party was joined by three, and they were all just starting dinner. Fumi then realized just how hungry she was - she couldn't remember the last time she'd eaten. Two days ago? She went closer, floating so that her steps wouldn't make a sound. There was a loaf of bread sitting right there on the counter, cut up into big slices. Fumi's mouth watered. As Bartholomew and the others talked about plans to go to the scrapyard, she carefully inched closer and closer. When she thought nobody was looking, she quickly snatched a piece and tucked it into her robes.
She hoped nobody saw a bread just spontaneously disappear.
Slowly, she backed away, walking straight through the sink, couch, and television set, into the next room. There, she happily ate her slice of bread. Although it wasn't much, her stomach was satisfied for the moment, until she could swipe some more food later that night.
When she went back out, Bartholomew and the others were done and getting ready to head to the scrapyard. Fumi bit her lip. Should she tag along? It wasn't necessarily her business. But then again, maybe she could be of some help, warn them if a zombie gets near. She followed them as they headed out and down the street.

Prometheus... ...Icarius ♪ He's a tramp, but I love him Breaks a new heart everyday He's a tramp, I adore him And I only hope he stays that way ♫ -Peggy Lee Icarius didn't like other people introducing him, he liked to play with people before he would really introduce himself generally, unless he was really bored. Coraline had stolen his thunder and he sighed softly within his mask: making a rather static and mechanical sound. He paused as Coraline asked what now, because he had thought that they were walking them to his ship. He'd thought he'd made that fairly clear to begin with. Rolling his baleful eyes* under the cover of his helmet, Icarius started walking once more, not seeing the strange girl as a threat, or really an ally at this point. If she proved useful, he would tolerate her, but for now Prometheus was on his mind.
"We continue to my ship... the area seems to be still smoldering, so that's my guide for the moment," he said, and noted that his helmet picked up on things that perhaps regular human eyes could not in this darkness. "Over there," he said while pointing and started heading over in that direction.
Prometheus travelled for a good while before he started to hear what he thought were voices. He slowed down and listened intently before moving closer and taking cover as an extra precaution. He saw a small group gathered, with one member coming closer to where he was. It took barely a second for Prometheus to recognise the armour and found himself putting his gun away in a hurry.
He ran from his hiding place and jumped at Icarius, smiling as Icarius caught him and swung him around before placing the slightly shorter male back on his feet. Prometheus removed his helmet as Icarius did the same. For the moment Prometheus was oblivious to the people around him as he stared into those beautiful peircing blue eyes of his partner.
"I knew I'd find you."
"You should've trusted I'd come back for you," Icarius scolded playfully before he turned back to his companions, "Turns out I have all I need from my ship for the moment... we should head back to the apartment. This is Prometheus, the partner you never knew I had. Prometheus, this is Xavier, Coraline and... what's her name again? Ah well, details. Shall we?"
Prometheus waved shyly at the group, a complete contrast to the arrogant and self-sure Icarius. Prometheus put his helmet in Icarius' knapsack and walked with him over to the troupe, the two of them shamelessly hand-in-hand.

✘✘Evelyn Alice✘✘ Open wide.. It was clear that this Jasmine girl was going to be difficult. What happend to the good ole days, where you could drug people without a million questions. Dr. Howard sent off an annoyed vibe, it hung in the air like a thick sort of mist. Hopefully Natalie would start getting drowsy. She looked over at the light as it shattered on the floors impact. With a fist slamming to the table, the doctor stood up. "I really think you two should lay down and... rest." His teeth clamped shut. Evelyn strolled over, shaking a prozac pill from a bottle and handing it over. "Here, take some." Jacob smacked her hand and sent the pill bottle flying downwards, each pill now claimed its own little floor tile. Quickly she took out a seringe and poked a bottle of bright green fluid, filling it up she turned to him and stabbed it right in his neck. He gasped with pain then started to calm down, taking in deep breaths while doing so. he should've seen it comming when all the other patients failed to show positive results, it's his own fault for testing on himself. The nurse grabbed another vile and two more needles. She may have to pounce on the girls and force them to sleep the hard way. ...Its time for your medicine ((Its to make them sleep. (( I am sooo sorry about vanishing after one post... There's a craplaod to read through now, but I'll put my character inside the actual city... and then read through and figure out how to get her to join y'all... If there's someone near the city gate, I'm probably screwed.))
Emmerah approached the gate of the city and shifted into her human form, making a small sound of disgust as her clothing failed to appear. The flare she had been approaching had faded a long time ago and she was quite surprised that it had been visible from the graveyard in the first place. She stepped through the gate, scanning the area mentally for hostile creatures and with her eyes for any clothing she could scavenge. Spotting a dismembered body she quickly approached, examining the clothing she sighed inwardly. A pale pink "hello kitty" dress that looked just a little too small for her and a pair of red sandals that would never fit. Emmerah sighed, she'd have to make-do with the dress.

Ventes AllaratusxxxxxVentes nodded and as soon as the spider was farther off teh ground then him, he jumped into it's underside. He "Stood up" and dashed off towards the head; easily avoiding the axe smacking the spider higher into the air. As Ventes reached the head he closed his eyes just for a moment. "Pressure Blade!" Ventes slashed at the bottom of where the spiders head connected to its body, and a large blade of wind shot up high into the air, severing the spiders head from the rest of the body. Ventes pushed off from the spiders head and landed on the ground. Ventes then dashed backwards to avoid the gigantic spiders head. Ventes quickly sheathed his sword and looked around, looking for any other zombie. Ventes rolled his aching left shoulder and looked back to the spider.

Xavier followed the group towards the end of the road, and approached what appeared to be a ship. The ship seemed to be in a pretty bad state. A figure approached them out of the darkness, and Xavier's hand instinctively shot to the gun at his side.
But, as he watched closer, the figure didn't seem to be a threat. Xavier watched Icarius and figure lock hands, and felt a painful stab somewhere in his body. It wasn't a physical pain; more emotional.
Icarius walked, hand in hand, back with the newcomer, and introduced him as 'Prometheus.' As he introduced him, Xavier merely nodded. He stood there quietly, awaiting their next move.

Prometheus... ...Icarius ♪ He's a tramp, but I love him Breaks a new heart everyday He's a tramp, I adore him And I only hope he stays that way ♫ -Peggy Lee Icarius noted the lack of response in his comrades and brushed that off simply as relief that this person wasn't one of the 'infected' as they had so called them. He would have to fill Prometheus in when they got back to safety. He personally didn't really care about the girl with the claymore they had just met. She had more food, so they seemed to be set for still a few weeks. In that time Icarius was already thinking about how they could go about getting supplies to repair their ship and what they would need. Prometheus would handle the technical stuff if he could get the materials together. He didn't even notice Xavier's crestfallen expression as they walked back towards the apartment.
Prometheus, however, did notice that Xavier looked rather disappointed--no, it wasn't disappointment, it was something else. He looked at Icarius suspiciously, and sighed softly as he realized that of course Icarius would make an attempt to flirt with whatever man passed their way that seemed his type. Icarius wasn't really one for 'fidelity' in their relationship, and really made no attempt to hide that from Prometheus. Prometheus knew that even though Icarius would likely only ever really care about him, but even so, he felt bad for those who took his feelings as genuine. This group of people he felt bad for was also including himself, because he never knew if Icarius was playing him, or actually had feelings for him. Sighing softly, he squeezed Icarius' gloved hand with his own and shot a sympathetic glance and the man he now recognized as 'Xavier.'
It was really too bad that they had come during a time when not many people would survive, and those looking for love would be really hard-pressed to find it. Prometheus didn't say much and just enjoyed Icarius' company as his long blond hair blew gingerly in the light evening breeze.

ℳαɼα ℛѳʙɪɳsѳɳℒѳcαϯɪѳɳ: No longer important at the moment.ℐɦѳʯɢɦϯs: Now I have some allies. We'd better start scouting the area. Mara accepted Monica's compliment graciously, feeling relief when the other two agreed to join her and accept her leadership. Now she wouldn't be alone in this strange place. It remained to be seen if they were trustworthy enough to leave her life to, but she preferred to stay optimistic about that. A crew wasn't inspired to obey you if you didn't first place your trust in their abilities. She nodded to both of them in gratitude.
When Bruno asked her to open up her mind so that he could find out about the flare, she balked out of instinct. Those with telepathic or psychic abilities were rare in the Sendaluan Empire, but not unheard of. The average imperial citizen had heard rumors of the Emperor's secret police force made up of such people using Sky Shards to enhance their powers. Being a captain in a highly successful and well-favored fleet, she knew those rumors to be partly true. The psychics and telepaths were deployed as spies in other countries that Sendalua coveted, though, not to keep peace within the Empire's borders. As such, she distrusted anyone who had the ability to root through another's mind like so many pages in a book. "Convenient though such a trick would be, Bruno, I prefer to rely on my two feet. In my experience, it is best to save such things against a time of great need rather than use them so injudiciously."
She flicked her sword for emphasis. "It is not far, and you have both proven to be more than a match for these zom-bees. Now that my guard is up, I too will be ready to defend myself."
Mara knew she risked having Bruno decide to leave by not accommodating his desire to avoid the zom-bees. Had it been her ship, she would have simply ordered him to do his duty, regardless of how he felt. She was the captain, after all, and did not need to cater to each crewmember's whims. That she showed concern for each individual under her command was a result of her desire to foster teamwork and excellence among her crew. But they were not on her ship and neither Bruno or Monica were under command. They were free to leave at any time they wished.
To give Bruno a better idea of where they were going, she pointed in the direction of the building she'd seen it come from. There was no reason to withhold such information, after all. "I believe I saw it come from just there. As Monica said earlier, she has noticed people going there before. My hope is that it has been fortified and become a place of safe haven."

[ Jasmine Langdon Jasmine senses the annoyance of the doctor, she wondered why he was so hell bent on getting them to rest, or eat this food. She was determined, though, to question. A certain side of her told her not to let them off so easily. Flinching when he slams his fist on the table, she watches the scene. As soon as she sees the scene, she steps back. These two was mysterious alright.. But that syringe, and green stuff.. Was there any medicine that even was that color!?"What do you want with us?" She chokes out. Surely they wanted something, or else they wouldn't have snapped like that.. But then again the patients could be on their nerves.. But there was no patients. Didn't the doctor say that they were the only ones? Well, she knew that she was not going to let anything mysterious get in her body, without a fight. She yawns a bit, feeling somewhat drowsy, after all she sipped some of the water.. Mind over body... Mind over body! If you fall asleep, who knows what they'll do to you! Her mind yelled at her.

The group made their way steadily back to the apartment without trouble. Xavier was both relieved and annoyed that they didn't meet any infected on the way. Upon arriving back at the apartment, Xavier felt a sense of comfort, being back at the only place that had ever felt like home to him.
It may have been hard to believe, given how dingy the place was. When they returned, he took his usual seat by the window with the board. The strange katana-wielding girl seemed to have followed them, but hadn't spoken a word. Xavier felt bad that he wasn't socializing more. He really did have a heart. Especially when it came to other people who seemed to be hurting. Who wasn't hurting these days?
Well, besides Icarius. Xavier laughed to himself. After a while, he decided he would strike up a conversation with this 'Prometheus' fellow. He seemed different than Icarius; kinder. "So.. what can you tell me about all of this?" Xavier said awkwardly. He didn't know how exactly to go about talking to Prometheus, so he just started blurting out what he was thinking.
"I mean, Icarius has clued us in on a bit. How you two are from the future. This is Earth, by the way. Icarius was a little confused at first. But how did you two come here, back in time? And if you're from the future, how do neither of you know what's happening right now? The world ending, and zombies and all..."
Xavier didn't expect him to have all the answers. But some answers from someone who seemed less rude would be nice.

Prometheus walked around the apartment building a while and Icarius gave him a bottle of water and some food (which Prometheus scanned with the device on his wrist to make sure it was safe). Icarius went about looting the building by himself and Prometheus found himself wanting company at the moment. He was a bit put-off with Icarius because he thought he'd been leading Xavier on for who knows how long? He didn't even know how long he'd blacked out for, let alone how long Icarius had been with these people.
He wandered into the room that Xavier was in, and sat across from him, though he was at a loss for what to say until Xavier started up the coversation. "World ending?" Prometheus asked and paused a moment before he calculated that they would be in the early 21st century if this situation seemed to be what he supposed it was. "Well, we were caught in a wormhole while chasing a rebel ship, but I don't really know how time travel was possible, I wasn't exactly specialized in my learning about the dangers of such things, because usually we stay away from them."
"As for this... world ending business, I would assume that this is the same instance as the infected breakout among the human population in the early 21st century, am I correct? If so the problem was contained and solved by using biological warfare that had been concealed in a military base... though, I have no idea where this base was located. It was likely destroyed in my own timeline," he replied, infinately more knowledgable than Icarius. "Behold what I, a God, from Gods endure! Look down upon my shame, The cruel wrong that racks my frame, The grinding anguish that shall waste my strength, Till time's ten thousand years have measured out their length!" . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . - Prometheus Bound
