Aubrey finally lit the cigerette and looked at for a second before bringing it to her lips. She took a big inhale, holding the smoke in her mouth for a second before beginning to cough violently. "Dammit-" she hacked between coughs, "I thought *cough* these were... *cough* spose t'be relaxin..."

She let him take it, her chin suddenly wobbling as if about to break into tears again. "Everything I touch turns to s**t," she lamented.

But the memories what what he had said to her just hour before burning in her brain. "Not that I see why he should care. It doesn't matter what I want...only what he wants." She paused and frowned. "Think you can proove it?" Aubrey had tried to deliver the line in a low, sultry voice. But her nervousness (and desperation) made her voice crack in a high pitched squeak. Embarassed, and surprised, she covered her face with her hands.

He swaggered towards her, smoke curling about his features. Ever since he met her, she reminded him of... that woman. The red hair, the curves, the iron confidence that seemed comprimisable, the blatent disrespect for his personal well being... "I don' know. I wouln' want t'be acused o' rape, now."
