Suka looked at Hiroshi over her shoulder, then shook her head, "No...it's just me right now. I just want to be alone...." She said, picking up her shoes and walking off down the beach silently, not looking back at Hiroshi.

"Oh...okay..." he said as he watched her walk off. For some reason, he felt like she hated him, since she didn't want to talk to him. He sighed as he sat down at the beach, looking out to the ocean.

Suka felt a few tears escape her eyes and she wiped them away, (I'm sorry Hiroshi.) She thought as she stopped after a while of walking and looked out over the ocean. A high wind blew her hair out of her face and she sighed, sitting down once again.

Hiroshi yawned slightly and layed down on the sand, and calmly fell asleep.

Suka continued to think about things, about her life and how things had changed since she'd first gotten together with Jake. She thought of all her fun, happy times with Hiroshi, memories popping into her head of their childhoods that just made her smile. She kept thinking when suddenly...she realized: she was in love with her best friend. "Oh no...." She whispered, chewing her bottom lip as she thought over what to do now that she'd figured out how she felt. First off she had to break up with Jake....then second maybe tell Hiroshi how she felt. Taking a deep breath, she got back to her feet and walked back to where she'd been earlier. She saw Hiroshi asleep and smiled softly, pulling out a piece of paper and writing down a message. She put it in his hand and softly kissed his forehead before standing fully and quickly making her way off the beach. She ran to her car and got in, driving home in hopes that Jake would be there so they could talk.

Hiroshi woke up minutes later. He looked around and felt something in his hand. It was a peice of paper. "That's weird..." he said as he sat up, and opened it.

'Hiroshi,
I finally figured out what was wrong with me and have gone to talk with Jake. Meet me back here at 6:30, we need to talk.
Suka.'
Suka made her way home, seeing that Jake's car was in the driveway, but also noticed an unfamiliar car. Parking in front of the house, she turned off the car and went inside, opening her mouth to call out her fiancee's name when she heard giggling. "Jake?" She said softly, closing the door behind her and walking deeper into the house. She made her way upstairs, hearing Jake's voice along with that of another woman's. Suka frowned some and walked towards the bedroom, "Jake? Are you in there?" She called, pushing the door open. Inside, Jake was in bed with another woman Suka had never met. He looked up at her, his eyes widening as the woman shrieked and hid herself, "Su-Suka! I-I thought you were spending the night at your mothers...." he stuttered, looking at her fearfully. Suka stood there, stunned for a moment before sighing and adjusting the strap of her purse, "Hm, well mother called me last night to tell me she'd be out of town tonight on business but would be home for the wedding." She pulled the engagement ring off her finger and moved it some in the light, "But that is besides the point here because I came to tell you it's not working out and that we should call off the wedding, but I see you have already found my replacement." She nodded towards the woman hiding under the blankets then tossed the ring on the bed, "We're over Jake, have fun with your little tramp." She said, turning and walking out of the room and downstairs. Jake called off after her, but Suka didn't stop until she was in her car and halfway down the street. She was a little hurt and felt betrayed, but was glad that she'd made the right choice in leaving him.

After reading the note, Hiroshi felt that something happened, and was a bit curious to what happened. He eagerly waited for Suka to come back. He had nothing better to do any way.

Suka returned to the beach shortly afterwards, parking in the spot she'd parked in earlier. She got out and sighed, smiling to herself as she pulled her hair back into a ponytail. Making her way onto the beach, she spotted Hiroshi and felt her heart speed up, "Hiroshi!" She called, waving as she walked towards him.

Hiroshi heard Suka and looked at the direction she called from. He smiled as he waved back. "Hey Suka." he greeted back to her.

Suka had been thinking about what she'd tell Hiroshi her feelings and she'd figured that she'd tell him about how things didn't work out with her and Jake first. "Well, the weddings canceled. Jake and I didn't work out." She said, telling him about what she saw when she got home and pausing to see his reaction.

Hiroshi sighed at the end of her story. "Makes me wonder how long he's actually been doing this." he said as he scratched his head. He then gently ruffled her hair. "Don't worry, there will be better guys than him, ones that will actually respect you." he said smiling at her.

Suka smiled, "Well, that's not the only reason Jake and i didn't marry. I just found out today I'm in love with someone else and couldn't bring myself to marry Jake with how I feel. It took me a while to figure it out...." She hinted, looking up at him with a sparkle in her eyes as she tilted her head to the side some.

He blushed a bit as he looked at the sand for a bit. "Lucky guy." was basically all that came out of his mouth. He scratched the back of his head, wondering who the other guy could be.

Suka smiled, giggling some, "Hm mm, I'm surprised I didn't figure out I was in love with my best friend until just today even though I've known him for years now. I must be really slow with this stuff." she said, shrugging some and moving to the waves. She'd taken off her shoes and stood in the water, the waves just about reaching her ankles.
